| 10-1 |
Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them
two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself
was about to come. |
その後、主は別に七十二人を選び、行こうとしておられたすべての町や村へ、ふたりずつ先におつかわしになった。 |
| 10-2 |
And he said unto them, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but the laborers
are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth
laborers into his harvest. |
そのとき、彼らに言われた、「収穫は多いが、働き人が少ない。だから、収穫の主に願って、その収穫のために働き人を送り出すようにしてもらいなさい。 |

Go your ways; behold, I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves. |
さあ、行きなさい。わたしがあなたがたをつかわすのは、小羊をおおかみの中に送るようなものである。 |
| 10-4 |
Carry no purse, no wallet, no shoes; and salute no man on the way. |
財布も袋もくつも持って行くな。だれにも道であいさつするな。 |
| 10-5 |
And into whatsoever house ye shall enter, first say, Peace
be to this house. |
どこかの家にはいったら、まず『平安がこの家にあるように』と言いなさい。 |
| 10-6 |
And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him: but if
not, it shall turn to you again. |
もし平安の子がそこにおれば、あなたがたの祈る平安はその人の上にとどまるであろう。もしそうでなかったら、それはあなたがたの上に帰って来るであろう。 |
| 10-7 |
And in that same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they
give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. |
それで、その同じ家に留まっていて、家の人が出してくれるものを飲み食いしなさい。働き人がその報いを得るのは当然である。家から家へと渡り歩くな。 |

And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: |
どの町へはいっても、人々があなたがたを迎えてくれるなら、前に出されるものを食べなさい。 |
| 10-9 |
and heal the sick that are
therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. |
そして、その町にいる病人をいやしてやり、『神の国はあなたがたに近づいた』と言いなさい。 |
| 10-10 |
But into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets thereof and say, |
しかし、どの町へはいっても、人々があなたがたを迎えない場合には、大通りに出て行って言いなさい、 |
| 10-11 |
Even the dust from your city, that cleaveth to our feet, we wipe off against you: nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh. |
『わたしたちの足についているこの町のちりも、ぬぐい捨てて行く。しかし、神の国が近づいたことは、承知しているがよい』。 |
| 10-12 |
I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. |
あなたがたに言っておく。その日には、この町よりもソドムの方が耐えやすいであろう。 |
| 10-13 |
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes |
わざわいだ、コラジンよ。わざわいだ、ベツサイダよ。おまえたちの中でなされた力あるわざが、もしツロとシドンでなされたなら、彼らはとうの昔に、荒布をまとい灰の中にすわって、悔い改めたであろう。 |

But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you. |
しかし、さばきの日には、ツロとシドンの方がおまえたちよりも、耐えやすいであろう。 |
| 10-15 |
And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt be brought down unto Hades |
ああ、カペナウムよ、おまえは天にまで上げられようとでもいうのか。黄泉にまで落されるであろう。 |
| 10-16 |
He that heareth you heareth me; and he that rejecteth you rejecteth me; and he that rejecteth me rejecteth him that sent me. |
あなたがたに聞き従う者は、わたしに聞き従うのであり、あなたがたを拒む者は、わたしを拒むのである。そしてわたしを拒む者は、わたしをおつかわしになったかたを拒むのである」。 |
| 10-17 |
And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name. |
七十二人が喜んで帰ってきて言った、「主よ、あなたの名によっていたしますと、悪霊までがわたしたちに服従します」。 |
| 10-18 |
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan fallen as lightning from heaven. |
彼らに言われた、「わたしはサタンが電光のように天から落ちるのを見た。 |
| 10-19 |
Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you |
わたしはあなたがたに、へびやさそりを踏みつけ、敵のあらゆる力に打ち勝つ権威を授けた。だから、あなたがたに害をおよぼす者はまったく無いであろう。 |

Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. |
しかし、霊があなたがたに服従することを喜ぶな。むしろ、あなたがたの名が天にしるされていることを喜びなさい」。 |
| 10-21 |
In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight |
そのとき、イエスは聖霊によって喜びあふれて言われた、「天地の主なる父よ。あなたをほめたたえます。これらの事を知恵のある者や賢い者に隠して、幼な子にあらわしてくださいました。父よ、これはまことに、みこころにかなった事でした。 |

All things have been
delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth who the Son is, save the
Father; and who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son
willeth to reveal him |
すべての事は父からわたしに任せられています。そして、子がだれであるかは、父のほか知っている者はありません。また父がだれであるかは、子と、父をあらわそうとして子が選んだ者とのほか、だれも知っている者はいません」。 |

And turning to the
disciples, he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: |
それから弟子たちの方に振りむいて、ひそかに言われた、「あなたがたが見ていることを見る目は、さいわいである。 |
| 10-24 |
for I say unto you, that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not. |
あなたがたに言っておく。多くの預言者や王たちも、あなたがたの見ていることを見ようとしたが、見ることができず、あなたがたの聞いていることを聞こうとしたが、聞けなかったのである」。 |

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and made trial of him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? |
するとそこへ、ある律法学者が現れ、イエスを試みようとして言った、「先生、何をしたら永遠の生命が受けられましょうか」。 |
| 10-26 |
And he said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? |
彼に言われた、「律法にはなんと書いてあるか。あなたはどう読むか」。 |
| 10-27 |
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself. |
彼は答えて言った、「『心をつくし、精神をつくし、力をつくし、思いをつくして、主なるあなたの神を愛せよ』。また、『自分を愛するように、あなたの隣り人を愛せよ』とあります」。 |

And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. |
彼に言われた、「あなたの答は正しい。そのとおり行いなさい。そうすれば、いのちが得られる」。 |
| 10-29 |
But he, desiring to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is
my neighbor? |
すると彼は自分の立場を弁護しようと思って、イエスに言った、「では、わたしの隣り人とはだれのことですか」。 |
| 10-30 |
Jesus made answer and said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem
to Jericho; and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him,
and departed, leaving him half dead. |
イエスが答えて言われた、「ある人がエルサレムからエリコに下って行く途中、強盗どもが彼を襲い、その着物をはぎ取り、傷を負わせ、半殺しにしたまま、逃げ去った。 |

And by chance a certain priest was going down that way: and when he saw
him, he passed by on the other side. |
するとたまたま、ひとりの祭司がその道を下ってきたが、この人を見ると、向こう側を通って行った。 |
| 10-32 |
And in like manner a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him,
passed by on the other side. |
同様に、レビ人もこの場所にさしかかってきたが、彼を見ると向こう側を通って行った。 |
| 10-33 |
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he
saw him, he was moved with compassion, |
ところが、あるサマリヤ人が旅をしてこの人のところを通りかかり、彼を見て気の毒に思い、 |

and came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on them oil and wine; and he set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn,
and took care of him. |
近寄ってきてその傷にオリブ油とぶどう酒とを注いでほうたいをしてやり、自分の家畜に乗せ、宿屋に連れて行って介抱した。 |

And on the morrow he took out two shillings, and gave them to the host,
and said, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, I, when
I come back again, will repay thee. |
翌日、デナリ二つを取り出して宿屋の主人に手渡し、『この人を見てやってください。費用がよけいにかかったら、帰りがけに、わたしが支払います』と言った。 |

Which of these three, thinkest thou, proved neighbor unto him that fell
among the robbers? |
この三人のうち、だれが強盗に襲われた人の隣り人になったと思うか」。 |
| 10-37 |
And he said, He that showed mercy on him. And Jesus said unto him,
Go, and do thou likewise. |
彼が言った、「その人に慈悲深い行いをした人です」。そこでイエスは言われた、「あなたも行って同じようにしなさい」。 |
| 10-38 |
Now as they went on their way, he entered into a certain village: and a
certain woman named Martha received him into her house. |
一同が旅を続けているうちに、イエスがある村へはいられた。するとマルタという名の女がイエスを家に迎え入れた。 |
| 10-39 |
And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at the Lord’s feet, and
heard his word. |
この女にマリヤという妹がいたが、主の足もとにすわって、御言に聞き入っていた。 |
| 10-40 |
But Martha was cumbered about much serving; and she came up to him, and
said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister did leave me to serve alone?
bid her therefore that she help me. |
ところが、マルタは接待のことで忙がしくて心をとりみだし、イエスのところにきて言った、「主よ、妹がわたしだけに接待をさせているのを、なんともお思いになりませんか。わたしの手伝いをするように妹におっしゃってください」。 |
| 10-41 |
But the Lord answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious
and troubled about many things: |
主は答えて言われた、「マルタよ、マルタよ、あなたは多くのことに心を配って思いわずらっている。 |
| 10-42 |
but one thing is needful: for Mary hath chosen the good part,
which shall not be taken away from her. |
しかし、無くてならぬものは多くはない。いや、一つだけである。マリヤはその良い方を選んだのだ。そしてそれは、彼女から取り去ってはならないものである」。 |
