| 17-1 |
And he said unto his disciples, It is impossible but that occasions of
stumbling should come; but woe unto him, through whom they come! |
イエスは弟子たちに言われた、「罪の誘惑が来ることは避けられない。しかし、それをきたらせる者は、わざわいである。 |
| 17-2 |
It were well for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he
were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these
little ones to stumble. |
これらの小さい者のひとりを罪に誘惑するよりは、むしろ、ひきうすを首にかけられて海に投げ入れられた方が、ましである。 |
| 17-3 |
Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother sin, rebuke him; and if he repent,
forgive him. |
あなたがたは、自分で注意していなさい。もしあなたの兄弟が罪を犯すなら、彼をいさめなさい。そして悔い改めたら、ゆるしてやりなさい。 |
| 17-4 |
And if he sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times
turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

もしあなたに対して一日に七度罪を犯し、そして七度『悔い改めます』と言ってあなたのところへ帰ってくれば、ゆるしてやるがよい」。 |
| 17-5 |
And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. |
使徒たちは主に「わたしたちの信仰を増してください」と言った。 |
| 17-6 |
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye
would say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou planted in the
sea; and it would obey you. |
そこで主が言われた、「もし、からし種一粒ほどの信仰があるなら、この桑の木に、『抜け出して海に植われ』と言ったとしても、その言葉どおりになるであろう。 |
| 17-7 |
But who is there of you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that
will say unto him, when he is come in from the field, Come straightway
and sit down to meat; |
あなたがたのうちのだれかに、耕作か牧畜かをする僕があるとする。その僕が畑から帰って来たとき、彼に『すぐきて、食卓につきなさい』と言うだろうか。 |
| 17-8 |
and will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird
thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou
shalt eat and drink? |
かえって、『夕食の用意をしてくれ。そしてわたしが飲み食いするあいだ、帯をしめて給仕をしなさい。そのあとで、飲み食いをするがよい』と、言うではないか。 |
| 17-9 |
Doth he thank the servant because he did the things that were
commanded? |
僕が命じられたことをしたからといって、主人は彼に感謝するだろうか。 |
| 17-10 |
Even so ye also, when ye shall have done all the things that are
commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which it was
our duty to do. |
同様にあなたがたも、命じられたことを皆してしまったとき、『わたしたちはふつつかな僕です。すべき事をしたに過ぎません』と言いなさい」。 |
| 17-11 |
And it came to pass, as they were on their way to Jerusalem, that he was
passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee. |
イエスはエルサレムへ行かれるとき、サマリヤとガリラヤとの間を通られた。 |
| 17-12 |
And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were
lepers, who stood afar off: |
そして、ある村にはいられると、十人のらい病人に出会われたが、彼らは遠くの方で立ちとどまり、 |
| 17-13 |
and they lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. |
声を張りあげて、「イエスさま、わたしたちをあわれんでください」と言った。 |
| 17-14 |
And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go and show yourselves unto the
priests. And it came to pass, as they went, they were cleansed. |
イエスは彼らをごらんになって、「祭司たちのところに行って、からだを見せなさい」と言われた。そして、行く途中で彼らはきよめられた。 |
| 17-15 |
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, with
a loud voice glorifying God; |
そのうちのひとりは、自分がいやされたことを知り、大声で神をほめたたえながら帰ってきて、 |
| 17-16 |
and he fell upon his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a
Samaritan. |
イエスの足もとにひれ伏して感謝した。これはサマリヤ人であった。 |
| 17-17 |
And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but where are the
nine? |
イエスは彼にむかって言われた、「きよめられたのは、十人ではなかったか。ほかの九人は、どこにいるのか。 |
| 17-18 |
Were there none found that returned to give glory to God, save
this stranger? |
神をほめたたえるために帰ってきたものは、この他国人のほかにはいないのか」。 |
| 17-19 |
And he said unto him, Arise, and go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. |
それから、その人に言われた、「立って行きなさい。あなたの信仰があなたを救ったのだ」。 |
| 17-20 |
And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God cometh, he answered
them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: |
神の国はいつ来るのかと、パリサイ人が尋ねたので、イエスは答えて言われた、「神の国は、見られるかたちで来るものではない。 |
| 17-21 |
neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God
is within you. |
また『見よ、ここにある』『あそこにある』などとも言えない。神の国は、実にあなたがたのただ中にあるのだ」。 |
| 17-22 |
And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire
to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. |
それから弟子たちに言われた、「あなたがたは、人の子の日を一日でも見たいと願っても見ることができない時が来るであろう。 |
| 17-23 |
And they shall say to you, Lo, there! Lo, here! go not away, nor
follow after them: |
人々はあなたがたに、『見よ、あそこに』『見よ、ここに』と言うだろう。しかし、そちらへ行くな、彼らのあとを追うな。 |
| 17-24 |
for as the lightning, when it lighteneth out of the one part under
the heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall the Son of man be
in his day. |
いなずまが天の端からひかり出て天の端へとひらめき渡るように、人の子もその日には同じようであるだろう。 |
| 17-25 |
But first must he suffer many things and be rejected of this generation. |
しかし、彼はまず多くの苦しみを受け、またこの時代の人々に捨てられねばならない。 |
| 17-26 |
And as it came to pass in the days of Noah, even so shall it be also in
the days of the Son of man. |
そして、ノアの時にあったように、人の子の時にも同様なことが起るであろう。 |
| 17-27 |
They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until
the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed
them all. |
ノアが箱舟にはいる日まで、人々は食い、飲み、めとり、とつぎなどしていたが、そこへ洪水が襲ってきて、彼らをことごとく滅ぼした。 |
| 17-28 |
Likewise even as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they ate, they drank,
they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; |
ロトの時にも同じようなことが起った。人々は食い、飲み、買い、売り、植え、建てなどしていたが、 |
| 17-29 |
but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone
from heaven, and destroyed them all: |
ロトがソドムから出て行った日に、天から火と硫黄とが降ってきて、彼らをことごとく滅ぼした。 |
| 17-30 |
after the same manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man
is revealed. |
人の子が現れる日も、ちょうどそれと同様であろう。 |
| 17-31 |
In that day, he that shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house,
let him not go down to take them away: and let him that is in the field
likewise not return back. |
その日には、屋上にいる者は、自分の持ち物が家の中にあっても、取りにおりるな。畑にいる者も同じように、あとへもどるな。 |
| 17-32 |
Remember Lot’s wife. |
ロトの妻のことを思い出しなさい。 |
| 17-33 |
Whosoever shall seek to gain his life shall lose it: but whosoever
shall lose his life shall preserve it. |
自分の命を救おうとするものは、それを失い、それを失うものは、保つのである。 |
| 17-34 |
I say unto you, In that night there shall be two men on one bed; the one
shall be taken, and the other shall be left. |
あなたがたに言っておく。その夜、ふたりの男が一つ寝床にいるならば、ひとりは取り去られ、他のひとりは残されるであろう。 |
| 17-35 |
There shall be two women grinding together; the one shall be taken, and
the other shall be left. |
ふたりの女が一緒にうすをひいているならば、ひとりは取り去られ、他のひとりは残されるであろう。 |
| 17-36 |
There shall be two men in the field; the one shall be taken,
and the other shall be left. |
〔ふたりの男が畑におれば、ひとりは取り去られ、他のひとりは残されるであろう〕」。 |
| 17-37 |
And they answering say unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto
them, Where the body is, thither will the eagles also be gathered
together. |
弟子たちは「主よ、それはどこであるのですか」と尋ねた。するとイエスは言われた、「死体のある所には、またはげたかが集まるものである」。 |
