And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man
there who had his hand withered. |
イエスがまた会堂にはいられると、そこに片手のなえた人がいた。 |

And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that
they might accuse him. |
人々はイエスを訴えようと思って、安息日にその人をいやされるかどうかをうかがっていた。 |
| 3-3 |
And he saith unto the man that had his hand withered, Stand forth. |
すると、イエスは片手のなえたその人に、「立って、中へ出てきなさい」と言い、 |
| 3-4 |
And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or
to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace. |
人々にむかって、「安息日に善を行うのと悪を行うのと、命を救うのと殺すのと、どちらがよいか」と言われた。彼らは黙っていた。 |

And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or
to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace. |
イエスは怒りを含んで彼らを見まわし、その心のかたくななのを嘆いて、その人に「手を伸ばしなさい」と言われた。そこで手を伸ばすと、その手は元どおりになった。 |

And the Pharisees went out, and straightway with the Herodians took counsel
against him, how they might destroy him. |
パリサイ人たちは出て行って、すぐにヘロデ党の者たちと、なんとかしてイエスを殺そうと相談しはじめた。 |

And Jesus with his disciples withdrew to the sea: and a great multitude
from Galilee followed; and from Judaea, |
それから、イエスは弟子たちと共に海べに退かれたが、ガリラヤからきたおびただしい群衆がついて行った。またユダヤから、 |
| 3-8 |
and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and beyond the Jordan, and about
Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came
unto him. |
エルサレムから、イドマヤから、更にヨルダンの向こうから、ツロ、シドンのあたりからも、おびただしい群衆が、そのなさっていることを聞いて、みもとにきた。 |

And he spake to his disciples, that a little boat should wait on him because
of the crowd, lest they should throng him: |
イエスは群衆が自分に押し迫るのを避けるために、小舟を用意しておけと、弟子たちに命じられた。 |
| 3-10 |
for he had healed many; insomuch that as many as had plagues pressed upon
him that they might touch him. |
それは、多くの人をいやされたので、病苦に悩む者は皆イエスにさわろうとして、押し寄せてきたからである。 |
| 3-11 |
And the unclean spirits, whensoever they beheld him, fell down before him,
and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. |
また、けがれた霊どもはイエスを見るごとに、みまえにひれ伏し、叫んで、「あなたこそ神の子です」と言った。 |
| 3-12 |
And he charged them much that they should not make him known. |
イエスは御自身のことを人にあらわさないようにと、彼らをきびしく戒められた。 |
| 3-13 |
And he goeth up into the mountain, and calleth unto him whom he himself
would; and they went unto him. |
さてイエスは山に登り、みこころにかなった者たちを呼び寄せられたので、彼らはみもとにきた。 |
| 3-14 |
And he appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might
send them forth to preach, |
そこで十二人をお立てになった。彼らを自分のそばに置くためであり、さらに宣教につかわし、 |
| 3-15 |
and to have authority to cast out demons: |
また悪霊を追い出す権威を持たせるためであった。 |
| 3-16 |
and Simon he surnamed Peter; |
こうして、この十二人をお立てになった。そしてシモンにペテロという名をつけ、 |
| 3-17 |
and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and them he surnamed Boanerges,
which is, Sons of thunder: |
またゼベダイの子ヤコブと、ヤコブの兄弟ヨハネ、彼らにはボアネルゲ、すなわち、雷の子という名をつけられた。 |
| 3-18 |
and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas,
and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Cananaean, |
つぎにアンデレ、ピリポ、バルトロマイ、マタイ、トマス、アルパヨの子ヤコブ、タダイ、熱心党のシモン、 |

and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. And he cometh into a house. |
それからイスカリオテのユダ。このユダがイエスを裏切ったのである。イエスが家にはいられると、 |
| 3-20 |
And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much
as eat bread. |
群衆がまた集まってきたので、一同は食事をする暇もないほどであった。 |
| 3-21 |
And when his friends heard it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they
said, He is beside himself. |
身内の者たちはこの事を聞いて、イエスを取押えに出てきた。気が狂ったと思ったからである。 |
| 3-22 |
And the scribes that came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub,
and, By the prince of the demons casteth he out the demons. |
また、エルサレムから下ってきた律法学者たちも、「彼はベルゼブルにとりつかれている」と言い、「悪霊どものかしらによって、悪霊どもを追い出しているのだ」とも言った。 |
| 3-23 |
And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan
cast out Satan? |
そこでイエスは彼らを呼び寄せ、譬をもって言われた、「どうして、サタンがサタンを追い出すことができようか。 |
| 3-24 |
And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. |
もし国が内部で分れ争うなら、その国は立ち行かない。 |
| 3-25 |
And if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to
stand. |
また、もし家が内わで分れ争うなら、その家は立ち行かないであろう。 |
| 3-26 |
And if Satan hath risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand,
but hath an end. |
もしサタンが内部で対立し分争するなら、彼は立ち行けず、滅んでしまう。 |
| 3-27 |
But no one can enter into the house of the strong man, and
spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. |
だれでも、まず強い人を縛りあげなければ、その人の家に押し入って家財を奪い取ることはできない。縛ってからはじめて、その家を略奪することができる。 |
| 3-28 |
Verily I say unto you, All their sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of
men, and their blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: |
よく言い聞かせておくが、人の子らには、その犯すすべての罪も神をけがす言葉も、ゆるされる。 |
| 3-29 |
but whosoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness,
but is guilty of an eternal sin: |
しかし、聖霊をけがす者は、いつまでもゆるされず、永遠の罪に定められる」。 |
| 3-30 |
because they said, He hath an unclean spirit. |
そう言われたのは、彼らが「イエスはけがれた霊につかれている」と言っていたからである。 |
| 3-31 |
And there come his mother and his brethren; and, standing without,
they sent unto him, calling him. |
さて、イエスの母と兄弟たちとがきて、外に立ち、人をやってイエスを呼ばせた。 |
| 3-32 |
And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say unto him, Behold, thy
mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. |
ときに、群衆はイエスを囲んですわっていたが、「ごらんなさい。あなたの母上と兄弟、姉妹たちが、外であなたを尋ねておられます」と言った。 |
| 3-33 |
And he answereth them, and saith, Who is my mother and my brethren? |
すると、イエスは彼らに答えて言われた、「わたしの母、わたしの兄弟とは、だれのことか」。 |
| 3-34 |
And looking round on them that sat round about him, he saith, Behold, my
mother and my brethren! |
そして、自分をとりかこんで、すわっている人々を見まわして、言われた、「ごらんなさい、ここにわたしの母、わたしの兄弟がいる。 |
| 3-35 |
For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother,
and sister, and mother. |
神のみこころを行う者はだれでも、わたしの兄弟、また姉妹、また母なのである」。 |
