| 28-1 |
Now late on the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first
day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. |
さて、安息日が終って、週の初めの日の明け方に、マグダラのマリヤとほかのマリヤとが、墓を見にきた。 |
| 28-2 |
And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended
from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it. |
すると、大きな地震が起った。それは主の使が天から下って、そこにきて石をわきへころがし、その上にすわったからである。 |
| 28-3 |
His appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow: |
その姿はいなずまのように輝き、その衣は雪のように真白であった。 |
| 28-4 |
and for fear of him the watchers did quake, and became as dead men. |
見張りをしていた人たちは、恐ろしさの余り震えあがって、死人のようになった。 |
| 28-5 |
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye; for I know
that ye seek Jesus, who hath been crucified. |
この御使は女たちにむかって言った、「恐れることはない。あなたがたが十字架におかかりになったイエスを捜していることは、わたしにわかっているが、 |
| 28-6 |
He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where
the Lord lay. |
もうここにはおられない。かねて言われたとおりに、よみがえられたのである。さあ、イエスが納められていた場所をごらんなさい。 |
| 28-7 |
And go quickly, and tell his disciples, He is risen from the dead; and
lo, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have
told you. |
そして、急いで行って、弟子たちにこう伝えなさい、『イエスは死人の中からよみがえられた。見よ、あなたがたより先にガリラヤへ行かれる。そこでお会いできるであろう』。あなたがたに、これだけ言っておく」。 |

And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran
to bring his disciples word. |
そこで女たちは恐れながらも大喜びで、急いで墓を立ち去り、弟子たちに知らせるために走って行った。 |
| 28-9 |
And behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and took hold
of his feet, and worshipped him. |
すると、イエスは彼らに出会って、「平安あれ」と言われたので、彼らは近寄りイエスのみ足をいだいて拝した。 |
| 28-10 |
Then saith Jesus unto them, Fear not: go tell my brethren that
they depart into Galilee, and there shall they see me. |
そのとき、イエスは彼らに言われた、「恐れることはない。行って兄弟たちに、ガリラヤに行け、そこでわたしに会えるであろう、と告げなさい」。 |
| 28-11 |
Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city,
and told unto the chief priests all the things that were come to pass. |
女たちが行っている間に、番人のうちのある人々が都に帰って、いっさいの出来事を祭司長たちに話した。 |
| 28-12 |
And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they
gave much money unto the soldiers, |
祭司長たちは長老たちと集まって協議をこらし、兵卒たちにたくさんの金を与えて言った、 |
| 28-13 |
saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we
slept. |
「『弟子たちが夜中にきて、われわれの寝ている間に彼を盗んだ』と言え。 |
| 28-14 |
And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and rid
you of care. |
万一このことが総督の耳にはいっても、われわれが総督に説いて、あなたがたに迷惑が掛からないようにしよう」。 |
| 28-15 |
So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this
saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continueth until this day. |
そこで、彼らは金を受け取って、教えられたとおりにした。そしてこの話は、今日に至るまでユダヤ人の間にひろまっている。 |
| 28-16 |
But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain
where Jesus had appointed them. |
さて、十一人の弟子たちはガリラヤに行って、イエスが彼らに行くように命じられた山に登った。 |
| 28-17 |
And when they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. |
そして、イエスに会って拝した。しかし、疑う者もいた。 |
| 28-18 |
And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath
been given unto me in heaven and on earth. |
イエスは彼らに近づいてきて言われた、「わたしは、天においても地においても、いっさいの権威を授けられた。 |
| 28-19 |
Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them
into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: |
それゆえに、あなたがたは行って、すべての国民を弟子として、父と子と聖霊との名によって、彼らにバプテスマを施し、 |
| 28-20 |
teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you:
and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. |
あなたがたに命じておいたいっさいのことを守るように教えよ。見よ、わたしは世の終りまで、いつもあなたがたと共にいるのである」。 |
