| 9-1 |
And he entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city. |
さて、イエスは舟に乗って海を渡り、自分の町に帰られた。 |
| 9-2 |
And behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed:
and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, be of
good cheer; thy sins are forgiven. |
すると、人々が中風の者を床の上に寝かせたままでみもとに運んできた。イエスは彼らの信仰を見て、中風の者に、「子よ、しっかりしなさい。あなたの罪はゆるされたのだ」と言われた。 |

And behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This
man blasphemeth. |
すると、ある律法学者たちが心の中で言った、「この人は神を汚している」。 |
| 9-4 |
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in
your hearts? |
イエスは彼らの考えを見抜いて、「なぜ、あなたがたは心の中で悪いことを考えているのか。 |
| 9-5 |
For which is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, and
walk? |
あなたの罪はゆるされた、と言うのと、起きて歩け、と言うのと、どちらがたやすいか。 |
| 9-6 |
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth
to forgive sins (then saith he to the sick of the palsy), Arise, and take up thy
bed, and go up unto thy house. |
しかし、人の子は地上で罪をゆるす権威をもっていることが、あなたがたにわかるために」と言い、中風の者にむかって、「起きよ、床を取りあげて家に帰れ」と言われた。 |

And he arose, and departed to his house. |
すると彼は起きあがり、家に帰って行った。 |
| 9-8 |
But when the multitudes saw it, they were afraid, and glorified
God, who had given such authority unto men. |
群衆はそれを見て恐れ、こんな大きな権威を人にお与えになった神をあがめた。 |
| 9-9 |
And as Jesus passed by from thence, he saw a man, called Matthew,
sitting at the place of toll: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose,
and followed him. |
さてイエスはそこから進んで行かれ、マタイという人が収税所にすわっているのを見て、「わたしに従ってきなさい」と言われた。すると彼は立ちあがって、イエスに従った。 |

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat in the house, behold, many
publicans and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples. |
それから、イエスが家で食事の席についておられた時のことである。多くの取税人や罪人たちがきて、イエスや弟子たちと共にその席に着いていた。 |
| 9-11 |
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth
your Teacher with the publicans and sinners? |
パリサイ人たちはこれを見て、弟子たちに言った、「なぜ、あなたがたの先生は、取税人や罪人などと食事を共にするのか」。 |
| 9-12 |
But when he heard it, he said, They that are whole have no need of
a physician, but they that are sick.

イエスはこれを聞いて言われた、「丈夫な人には医者はいらない。いるのは病人である。 |
| 9-13 |
But go ye and learn what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and
not sacrifice, for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners. |
『わたしが好むのは、あわれみであって、いけにえではない』とはどういう意味か、学んできなさい。わたしがきたのは、義人を招くためではなく、罪人を招くためである」。 |
| 9-14 |
Then come to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees
fast oft, but thy disciples fast not? |
そのとき、ヨハネの弟子たちがイエスのところにきて言った、「わたしたちとパリサイ人たちとが断食をしているのに、あなたの弟子たちは、なぜ断食をしないのですか」。 |
| 9-15 |
And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn, as long
as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom
shall be taken away from them, and then will they fast. |
するとイエスは言われた、「婚礼の客は、花婿が一緒にいる間は、悲しんでおられようか。しかし、花婿が奪い去られる日が来る。その時には断食をするであろう。 |
| 9-16 |
And no man putteth a piece of undressed cloth upon an old garment; for
that which should fill it up taketh from the garment, and a worse rent
is made. |
だれも、真新しい布ぎれで、古い着物につぎを当てはしない。そのつぎきれは着物を引き破り、そして、破れがもっとひどくなるから。 |
| 9-17 |
Neither do men put new wine into old wine-skins: else the
skins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the skins perish: but they put new
wine into fresh wine-skins, and both are preserved. |
だれも、新しいぶどう酒を古い皮袋に入れはしない。もしそんなことをしたら、その皮袋は張り裂け、酒は流れ出るし、皮袋もむだになる。だから、新しいぶどう酒は新しい皮袋に入れるべきである。そうすれば両方とも長もちがするであろう」。 |
| 9-18 |
While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a ruler, and
worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay
thy hand upon her, and she shall live. |
これらのことを彼らに話しておられると、そこにひとりの会堂司がきて、イエスを拝して言った、「わたしの娘がただ今死にました。しかしおいでになって手をその上においてやって下さい。そうしたら、娘は生き返るでしょう」。 |
| 9-19 |
And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. |
そこで、イエスが立って彼について行かれると、弟子たちも一緒に行った。 |
| 9-20 |
And behold, a woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years, came behind
him, and touched the border of his garment: |
するとそのとき、十二年間も長血をわずらっている女が近寄ってきて、イエスのうしろからみ衣のふさにさわった。 |
| 9-21 |
for she said within herself, If I do but touch his garment, I shall be
made whole. |
み衣にさわりさえすれば、なおしていただけるだろう、と心の中で思っていたからである。 |
| 9-22 |
But Jesus turning and seeing her said, Daughter, be of good cheer; thy
faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. |
イエスは振り向いて、この女を見て言われた、「娘よ、しっかりしなさい。あなたの信仰があなたを救ったのです」。するとこの女はその時に、いやされた。 |
| 9-23 |
And when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute-players,
and the crowd making a tumult, |
それからイエスは司の家に着き、笛吹きどもや騒いでいる群衆を見て言われた。 |
| 9-24 |
he said, Give place: for the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they
laughed him to scorn. |
「あちらへ行っていなさい。少女は死んだのではない。眠っているだけである」。すると人々はイエスをあざ笑った。 |
| 9-25 |
But when the crowd was put forth, he entered in, and took her by the hand;
and the damsel arose. |
しかし、群衆を外へ出したのち、イエスは内へはいって、少女の手をお取りになると、少女は起きあがった。 |
| 9-26 |
And the fame hereof went forth into all that land. |
そして、そのうわさがこの地方全体にひろまった。 |
| 9-27 |
And as Jesus passed by from thence, two blind men followed him, crying
out, and saying, Have mercy on us, thou son of David. |
そこから進んで行かれると、ふたりの盲人が、「ダビデの子よ、わたしたちをあわれんで下さい」と叫びながら、イエスについてきた。 |
| 9-28 |
And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus
saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They say unto him,
Yea, Lord. |
そしてイエスが家にはいられると、盲人たちがみもとにきたので、彼らに「わたしにそれができると信じるか」と言われた。彼らは言った、「主よ、信じます」。 |
| 9-29 |
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it done
unto you. |
そこで、イエスは彼らの目にさわって言われた、「あなたがたの信仰どおり、あなたがたの身になるように」。 |
| 9-30 |
And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly charged them, saying, See
that no man know it. |
すると彼らの目が開かれた。イエスは彼らをきびしく戒めて言われた、「だれにも知れないように気をつけなさい」。 |
| 9-31 |
But they went forth, and spread abroad his fame in all that land. |
しかし、彼らは出て行って、その地方全体にイエスのことを言いひろめた。 |
| 9-32 |
And as they went forth, behold, there was brought to him a dumb man possessed
with a demon. |
彼らが出て行くと、人々は悪霊につかれたおしをイエスのところに連れてきた。 |
| 9-33 |
And when the demon was cast out, the dumb man spake: and the multitudes
marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. |
すると、悪霊は追い出されて、おしが物を言うようになった。群衆は驚いて、「このようなことがイスラエルの中で見られたことは、これまで一度もなかった」と言った。 |
| 9-34 |
But the Pharisees said, By the prince of the demons casteth he out
demons. |
しかし、パリサイ人たちは言った、「彼は、悪霊どものかしらによって悪霊どもを追い出しているのだ」。 |
| 9-35 |
And Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their
synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner
of disease and all manner of sickness. |
イエスは、すべての町々村々を巡り歩いて、諸会堂で教え、御国の福音を宣べ伝え、あらゆる病気、あらゆるわずらいをおいやしになった。 |
| 9-36 |
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for
them, because they were distressed and scattered, as sheep not having a
shepherd. |
また群衆が飼う者のない羊のように弱り果てて、倒れているのをごらんになって、彼らを深くあわれまれた。 |
| 9-37 |
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but
the laborers are few. |
そして弟子たちに言われた、「収穫は多いが、働き人が少ない。 |
| 9-38 |
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth
laborers into his harvest. |
だから、収穫の主に願って、その収穫のために働き人を送り出すようにしてもらいなさい」。 |
