| 12-1 |
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. |
その時あなたの民を守っている大いなる君ミカエルが立ちあがります。また国が始まってから、その時にいたるまで、かつてなかったほどの悩みの時があるでしょう。しかし、その時あなたの民は救われます。すなわちあの書に名をしるされた者は皆救われます。 |

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. |
また地のちりの中に眠っている者のうち、多くの者は目をさますでしょう。そのうち永遠の生命にいたる者もあり、また恥と、限りなき恥辱をうける者もあるでしょう。 |
| 12-3 |
And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. |
賢い者は、大空の輝きのように輝き、また多くの人を義に導く者は、星のようになって永遠にいたるでしょう。 |
| 12-4 |
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. |
ダニエルよ、あなたは終りの時までこの言葉を秘し、この書を封じておきなさい。多くの者は、あちこちと探り調べ、そして知識が増すでしょう」。 |

Then I, Daniel, looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on the brink of the river on this side, and the other on the brink of the river on that side. |
そこで、われダニエルが見ていると、ほかにまたふたりの者があって、ひとりは川のこなたの岸に、ひとりは川のかなたの岸に立っていた。 |

And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? |
わたしは、かの亜麻布を着て川の水の上にいる人にむかって言った、「この異常なできごとは、いつになって終るでしょうか」と。 |
| 12-7 |
And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. |
かの亜麻布を着て、川の水の上にいた人が、天に向かって、その右の手と左の手をあげ、永遠に生ける者をさして誓い、それは、ひと時とふた時と半時である。聖なる民を打ち砕く力が消え去る時に、これらの事はみな成就するだろうと言うのを、わたしは聞いた。 |

And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my lord, what shall be the issue of these things? |
わたしはこれを聞いたけれども悟れなかった。わたしは言った、「わが主よ、これらの事の結末はどんなでしょうか」。 |
| 12-9 |
And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed till
the time of the end. |
彼は言った、「ダニエルよ、あなたの道を行きなさい。この言葉は終りの時まで秘し、かつ封じておかれます。 |
| 12-10 |
Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but they that are wise shall understand. |
多くの者は、自分を清め、自分を白くし、かつ練られるでしょう。しかし、悪い者は悪い事をおこない、ひとりも悟ることはないが、賢い者は悟るでしょう。 |
| 12-11 |
And from the time that the continual burnt-offering shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand and two hundred and ninety days. |
常供の燔祭が取り除かれ、荒す憎むべきものが立てられる時から、千二百九十日が定められている。 |
| 12-12 |
Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. |
待っていて千三百三十五日に至る者はさいわいです。 |
| 12-13 |
But go thou thy way till the end be; for thou shalt rest, and shalt stand in thy lot, at the end of the days. |
しかし、終りまであなたの道を行きなさい。あなたは休みに入り、定められた日の終りに立って、あなたの分を受けるでしょう」。 |
