| 39-1 |
And thou, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal: |
人の子よ、ゴグに向かって預言して言え。主なる神はこう言われる、メセクとトバルの大君であるゴグよ、見よ、わたしはあなたの敵となる。 |
| 39-2 |
and I will turn thee about, and will lead thee on, and will cause thee to come up from the uttermost parts of the north; and I will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel; |
わたしはあなたを引きもどし、あなたを押しやり、北の果から上らせ、イスラエルの山々に導き、 |
| 39-3 |
and I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. |
あなたの左の手から弓を打ち落し、右の手から矢を落させる。 |
| 39-4 |
Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy hordes, and the peoples that are with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. |
あなたとあなたのすべての軍隊およびあなたと共にいる民たちは、イスラエルの山々に倒れる。わたしはあなたを、諸種の猛禽と野獣とに与えて食わせる。 |
| 39-5 |
Thou shalt fall upon the open field; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah. |
あなたは野の面に倒れる。わたしがこれを言ったからであると、主なる神は言われる。 |
| 39-6 |
And I will send a fire on Magog, and on them that dwell securely in the isles; and they shall know that I am Jehovah. |
わたしはゴグと、海沿いの国々に安らかに住む者に対して火を送り、彼らにわたしが主であることを悟らせる。 |
| 39-7 |
And my holy name will I make known in the midst of my people Israel; neither will I suffer my holy name to be profaned any more: and the nations shall know that I am Jehovah, the Holy One in Israel. |
わたしはわが聖なる名を、わが民イスラエルのうちに知らせ、重ねてわが聖なる名を汚させない。諸国民はわたしが主、イスラエルの聖者であることを悟る。 |
| 39-8 |
Behold, it cometh, and it shall be done, saith the Lord Jehovah; this is the day whereof I have spoken. |
主なる神は言われる、見よ、これは来る、必ず成就する。これはわたしが言った日である。 |
| 39-9 |
And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall make fires of the weapons and burn them, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall make fires of them seven years; |
イスラエルの町々に住む者は出て来て、武器すなわち大盾、小盾、弓、矢、手やり、およびやりなどを燃やし、焼き、七年の間これを火に燃やす。 |
| 39-10 |
so that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall make fires of the weapons; and they shall plunder those that plundered them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord Jehovah. |
彼らは野から木を取らず、森から木を切らず、武器で火を燃やし、自分をかすめた者をかすめ、自分の物を奪った者を奪うと、主なる神は言われる。 |
| 39-11 |
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place for burial in Israel, the valley of them that pass through on the east of the sea; and it shall stop them that pass through: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog. |
その日、わたしはイスラエルのうちに、墓地をゴグに与える。これは旅びとの谷にあって海の東にある。これは旅びとを妨げる。そこにゴグとその民衆を埋めるからである。これをハモン・ゴグの谷と名づける。 |
| 39-12 |
And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying them, that they may cleanse the land. |
イスラエルの家はこれを埋めて、地を清めるために七か月を費す。 |
| 39-13 |
Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown in the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord Jehovah. |
国のすべての民はこれを埋め、これによって名を高める。これはわが栄えを現す日であると、主なる神は言われる。 |
| 39-14 |
And they shall set apart men of continual employment, that shall pass through the land, and, with them that pass through, those that bury them that remain upon the face of the land, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. |
彼らは人々を選んで、絶えず国の中を行きめぐらせ、地のおもてに残っている者を埋めて、これを清めさせる。七か月の終りに彼らは尋ねる。 |
| 39-15 |
And they that pass through the land shall pass through; and when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog. |
国を行きめぐる者が行きめぐって、人の骨を見る時、死人を埋める者が、これをハモン・ゴグの谷に埋めるまで、そのかたわらに、標を建てて置く。 |
| 39-16 |
And Hamonah shall also be the name of a city. Thus shall they cleanse the land. |
（ハモナの町もそこにある。）こうして彼らはその国を清める。 |
| 39-17 |
And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Speak unto the birds of every sort, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh and drink blood. |
主なる神はこう言われる、人の子よ、諸種の鳥と野の獣とに言え、みな集まってこい。わたしがおまえたちのために供えた犠牲、すなわちイスラエルの山々の上にある、大いなる犠牲に、四方から集まり、その肉を食い、その血を飲め。 |
| 39-18 |
Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. |
おまえたちは勇士の肉を食い、地の君たちの血を飲め。雄羊、小羊、雄やぎ、雄牛などすべてバシャンの肥えた獣を食え。 |
| 39-19 |
And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. |
わたしがおまえたちのために供えた犠牲は、飽きるまでその脂肪を食べ、酔うまで血を飲め。 |
| 39-20 |
And ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord Jehovah. |
おまえたちはわが食卓について馬と、騎手と、勇士と、もろもろの戦士とを飽きるほど食べると、主なる神は言われる。 |
| 39-21 |
And I will set my glory among the nations; and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. |
わたしはわが栄光を諸国民に示す。すべての国民はわたしが行ったさばきと、わたしが彼らの上に加えた手とを見る。 |
| 39-22 |
So the house of Israel shall know that I am Jehovah their God, from that day and forward. |
この日から後、イスラエルの家はわたしが彼らの神、主であることを悟るようになる。 |
| 39-23 |
And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they trespassed against me, and I hid my face from them: so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they fell all of them by the sword. |
また諸国民はイスラエルの家が、その悪によって捕え移されたことを悟る。彼らがわたしにそむいたので、わたしはわが顔を彼らに隠し、彼らをその敵の手に渡した。それで彼らは皆つるぎに倒れた。 |
| 39-24 |
According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions did I unto them; and I hid my face from them. |
わたしは彼らの汚れと、とがとに従って、彼らを扱い、わたしの顔を彼らに隠した。 |
| 39-25 |
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name. |
それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、いまわたしはヤコブの幸福をもとに返し、イスラエルの全家をあわれみ、わが聖なる名のために、ねたみを起す。 |
| 39-26 |
And they shall bear their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they shall dwell securely in their land, and none shall make them afraid; |
彼らは、その国に安らかに住み、だれもこれを恐れさせる者がないようになった時、自分の恥と、わたしに向かってなした反逆とを忘れる。 |
| 39-27 |
when I have brought them back from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations. |
わたしが彼らを諸国民の中から帰らせ、その敵の国から呼び集め、彼らによって、わたしの聖なることを、多くの国民の前に示す時、 |
| 39-28 |
And they shall know that I am Jehovah their God, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them unto their own land; and I will leave none of them any more there; |
彼らは、わたしが彼らの神、主であることを悟る。これはわたしが彼らを諸国民のうちに移し、またこれをその国に呼び集めたからである。わたしはそのひとりをも、国々のうちに残すことをしない。 |
| 39-29 |
neither will I hide my face any more from them; for I have poured out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah. |
わたしは、わが霊をイスラエルの家に注ぐ時、重ねてわが顔を彼らに隠さないと、主なる神は言われる」。 |
