| 7-1 |
Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, |
主の言葉がまたわたしに臨んだ、 |
| 7-2 |
And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto the land of Israel, An end: the end is come upon the four corners of the land. |
「人の子よ、イスラエルの地の終りについて主はこう言われる、この国の四方の境に終りが来た。 |
| 7-3 |
Now is the end upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways; and I will bring upon thee all thine abominations. |
いま、あなたの終りが来た。わたしはわが怒りをあなたに漏らし、あなたの行いに従って、あなたをさばき、あなたのもろもろの憎むべき物のためにあなたを罰する。 |
| 7-4 |
And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity; but I will bring thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah. |
わたしの目はあなたを惜しみ見ず、またあなたをあわれまない。わたしはあなたの行いのためにあなたを罰する。あなたの憎むべき事があなたのうちにある。これによって、あなたがたはわたしが主であることを知るようになる。 |
| 7-5 |
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An evil, an only evil; behold, it cometh. |
主なる神はこう言われる、災が引き続いて起る。見よ、災が来る。 |
| 7-6 |
An end is come, the end is come; it awaketh against thee; behold, it cometh. |
終りが来る。その終りが来る。それが起って、あなたに臨む。見よ、それが来る。 |
| 7-7 |
Thy doom is come unto thee, O inhabitant of the land: the time is come, the day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, upon the mountains. |
この地に住む者よ、あなたの最後の運命があなたに来た。時は来た。日が近づいた。混乱の日で、山々に聞える喜びの日ではない。 |
| 7-8 |
Now will I shortly pour out my wrath upon thee, and accomplish mine anger against thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways; and I will bring upon thee all thine abominations. |
今わたしは、すみやかにわたしの憤りをあなたの上に注ぎ、わたしの怒りをあなたに漏らし尽し、あなたの行いに従ってあなたをさばき、あなたのもろもろの憎むべき事のためにあなたを罰する。 |
| 7-9 |
And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will bring upon thee according to thy ways; and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, do smite. |
わたしの目はあなたを惜しみ見ず、またあなたをあわれまない。わたしはあなたの行いのためにあなたを罰する。あなたの憎むべき事があなたのうちにある。これによって、あなたがたは、主であるわたしがあなたを撃つことを知るようになる。 |
| 7-10 |
Behold, the day, behold, it cometh: thy doom is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded. |
見よ、その日を。また見よ、かの日が来た。あなたの最後の運命が来た。不義は花咲き、高ぶりは芽を出した。 |
| 7-11 |
Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness; none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth: neither shall there be eminency among them. |
暴虐はつのって悪のつえとなった。彼らもその群衆も、その富も消え、また彼らの名声も消えて何も残らなくなる。 |
| 7-12 |
The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof. |
時は来た。日は近づいた。買う者は喜ぶな。売る者は悲しむな。怒りがすべての群衆の上に臨むからだ。 |
| 7-13 |
For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they be yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, none shall return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life. |
売る者はたとい生きていても、その売ったものに帰ることはない。怒りがそのすべての民衆の上にあるからだ。それはもとに帰らない。その不義のために、だれも命を全うすることはできない。 |
| 7-14 |
They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but none goeth to the battle; for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof. |
人々がラッパを吹いて備えをしても戦いに出る者はない。それはわたしの怒りがそのすべての群衆の上にあるからだ。 |
| 7-15 |
The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword: and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him. |
外にはつるぎがあり、内には疫病とききんがある。畑にいる者はつるぎに死に、町にいる者はききんと疫病に滅ぼされる。 |
| 7-16 |
But those of them that escape shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, every one in his iniquity. |
そのうちの、のがれる者は谷間のはとのように山々に行って、おのおの皆その罪のために悲しむ。 |
| 7-17 |
All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water. |
両手とも弱くなり、両ひざとも水のように弱くなる。 |
| 7-18 |
They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads. |
彼らは荒布を身にまとい、恐れが彼らをおおい、すべての顔には恥があらわれ、すべての頭は髪をそり落す。 |
| 7-19 |
They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be as an unclean thing; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Jehovah: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels; because it hath been the stumblingblock of their iniquity. |
彼らはその銀をちまたに捨て、その金はあくたのようになる。主の怒りの日には金銀も彼らを救うことはできない。それらは彼らの飢えを満足させることができない、またその腹を満たすことができない。それは彼らの不義のつまずきであったからだ。 |
| 7-20 |
As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things therein: therefore have I made it unto them as an unclean thing. |
彼らはその美しい飾り物を高ぶりのために用い、またこれをもってその憎むべき偶像と忌むべき物を造った。それゆえわたしはこれを彼らに対して汚れたものとする。 |
| 7-21 |
And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it. |
わたしはこれを外国人の手に渡して奪わせ、地の悪人に渡してかすめさせる。彼らはこれを汚す。 |
| 7-22 |
My face will I turn also from them, and they shall profane my secret place; and robbers shall enter into it, and profane it. |
わたしは彼らから顔をそむけて、彼らにわたしの聖所を汚させる。強盗がこれにはいって汚し、 |
| 7-23 |
Make the chain; for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence. |
また荒れ地とする。この地は流血のとがに満ち、この町は暴虐に満ちているゆえ、 |
| 7-24 |
Wherefore I will bring the worst of the nations, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pride of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be profaned. |
わたしは国々のうちの悪い者どもを招いて、彼らの家をかすめさせる。わたしは強い者の高ぶりをやめさせる。また彼らの聖所は汚される。 |
| 7-25 |
Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none. |
滅びが来るとき、彼らは平安を求めても得られない。 |
| 7-26 |
Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumor shall be upon rumor; and they shall seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders. |
災に災が重なりきたり、知らせに知らせが相つぐ。その時、彼らは預言者に幻を求める。しかし律法は祭司のうちに絶え、計りごとは長老のうちに絶える。 |
| 7-27 |
The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am Jehovah. |
王は悲しみ、つかさは望みを失い、その地の民の手はおののきによってこわばる。わたしは彼らの行いに従って彼らをあつかい、そのさばきに従って彼らをさばく。そして彼らはわたしが主であることを知るようになる」。 |
