This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God
created man, in the likeness of God made he him; |

male and female created he them, and blessed them, and called their name
Adam, in the day when they were created. |
彼らを男と女とに創造された。彼らが創造された時、神は彼らを祝福して、その名をアダムと名づけられた。 |

And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: |
アダムは百三十歳になって、自分にかたどり、自分のかたちのような男の子を生み、その名をセツと名づけた。 |

and the days of Adam after he begat Seth were eight hundred years:
and he begat sons and daughters. |
アダムがセツを生んで後、生きた年は八百年であって、ほかに男子と女子を生んだ。 |

And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty
years: and he died. |
アダムの生きた年は合わせて九百三十歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 |

セツは百五歳になって、エノスを生んだ。 |

Seth lived after he begat Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and
begat sons and daughters: |
セツはエノスを生んだ後、八百七年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 |

and all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and
he died. |
セツの年は合わせて九百十二歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 |

And Enosh lived ninety years, and begat Kenan. |
エノスは九十歳になって、カイナンを生んだ。 |

and Enosh lived after he begat Kenan eight hundred and fifteen
years, and begat sons and daughters: |
エノスはカイナンを生んだ後、八百十五年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 |

and all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years: and he
died. |
エノスの年は合わせて九百五歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 |

And Kenan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalalel: |
カイナンは七十歳になって、マハラレルを生んだ。 |

and Kenan lived after he begat Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years,
and begat sons and daughters: |
カイナンはマハラレルを生んだ後、八百四十年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 |

and Kenan lived after he begat Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years,
and begat sons and daughters: |
カイナンの年は合わせて九百十歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 |

And Mahalalel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared: |
マハラレルは六十五歳になって、ヤレドを生んだ。 |

And Mahalalel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years,
and begat sons and daughters: |
マハラレルはヤレドを生んだ後、八百三十年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 |

and all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety and five
years: and he died. |
マハラレルの年は合わせて八百九十五歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 |

And Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years, and begat Enoch: |
ヤレドは百六十二歳になって、エノクを生んだ。 |

and Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons
and daughters: |
ヤレドはエノクを生んだ後、八百年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 |
| 5-20 |
And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years:
and he died. |
ヤレドの年は合わせて九百六十二歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 |

And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: |
エノクは六十五歳になって、メトセラを生んだ。 |

and Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years,
and begat sons and daughters: |
エノクはメトセラを生んだ後、三百年、神とともに歩み、男子と女子を生んだ。 |
| 5-23 |
and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: |
エノクの年は合わせて三百六十五歳であった。 |
| 5-24 |
and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. |
エノクは神とともに歩み、神が彼を取られたので、いなくなった。 |
| 5-25 |
And Methuselah lived a hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech |
は百八十七歳になって、レメクを生んだ。 |
| 5-26 |
and Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two
years, and begat sons and daughters. |
メトセラはレメクを生んだ後、七百八十二年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 |
| 5-27 |
And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine
years: and he died. |
メトセラの年は合わせて九百六十九歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 |

And Lamech lived a hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: |
レメクは百八十二歳になって、男の子を生み、 |
| 5-29 |
and he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us
in our work and in the toil of our hands, which cometh because of the ground which Jehovah hath cursed. |
「この子こそ、主が地をのろわれたため、骨折り働くわれわれを慰めるもの」と言って、その名をノアと名づけた。 |
| 5-30 |
And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years,
and begat sons and daughters: |
レメクはノアを生んだ後、五百九十五年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。 |
| 5-31 |
And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven
years: and he died. |
レメクの年は合わせて七百七十七歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。 |
| 5-32 |
And Noah was five hundred years old: And Noah begat Shem, Ham, and
Japheth. |
ノアは五百歳になって、セム、ハム、ヤペテを生んだ。 |
