Woe to them that devise iniquity and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. |
その床の上で不義を計り、悪を行う者はわざわいである。彼らはその手に力あるゆえ、夜が明けるとこれを行う。 |

And they covet fields, and seize them; and houses, and take them away: and they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. |
彼らは田畑をむさぼってこれを奪い、家をむさぼってこれを取る。彼らは人をしえたげてその家を奪い、人をしえたげてその嗣業を奪う。 |

Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks, neither shall ye walk haughtily; for it is an evil time. |
それゆえ、主はこう言われる、見よ、わたしはこのやからにむかって災を下そうと計る。あなたがたはその首をこれから、はずすことはできない。また、まっすぐに立って歩くことはできない。これは災の時だからである。 |

In that day shall they take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We are utterly ruined: he changeth the portion of my people: how doth he remove it from me! to the rebellious he divideth our fields. |
その日、人々は歌を作ってあなたがたをののしり、悲しみの歌をもって嘆き悲しみ、「われわれはことごとく滅ぼされる、わが民の分は人に与えられる。どうしてこれはわたしから離れるのであろう。われわれの田畑はわれわれを捕えた者の間に分け与えられる」と言う。 |

Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast the line by lot in the assembly of Jehovah. |
それゆえ、主の会衆のうちにはくじによって測りなわを張る者はひとりもなくなる。 |

Prophesy ye not, thus they prophesy. They shall not prophesy to these: reproaches shall not depart. |
彼らは言う、「あなたがたは説教してはならない。そのような事について説教してはならない。そうすればわれわれは恥をこうむることがない」と。 |
| 2-7 |
Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, Is the Spirit of Jehovah straitened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly? |
ヤコブの家よ、そんなことは言えるのだろうか。主は気短な方であろうか。これらは主のみわざなのであろうか。わが言葉は正しく歩む者に、益とならないのであろうか。 |

But of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye strip the robe from off the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war. |
ところが、あなたがたは立ってわが民の敵となり、いくさのことを知らずに、安らかに過ぎゆく者から、平和な者から、上着をはぎ取り、 |

The women of my people ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their young children ye take away my glory for ever. |
わが民の女たちをその楽しい家から追い出し、その子どもから、わが栄えをとこしえに奪う。 |
| 2-10 |
Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your resting-place; because of uncleanness that destroyeth, even with a grievous destruction. |
立って去れ、これはあなたがたの休み場所ではない。これは汚れのゆえに滅びる。その滅びは悲惨な滅びだ。 |
| 2-11 |
If a man walking in a spirit of falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people. |
もし人が風に歩み、偽りを言い、「わたしはぶどう酒と濃き酒とについて、あなたに説教しよう」と言うならば、その人はこの民の説教者となるであろう。 |

I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as a flock in the midst of their pasture; they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men. |
ヤコブよ、わたしは必ずあなたをことごとく集め、イスラエルの残れる者を集める。牧場の中の群れのように共におく。これは人の多きによって騒がしくなる。 |

The breaker is gone up before them: they have broken forth and passed on to the gate, and are gone out thereat; and their king is passed on before them, and Jehovah at the head of them. |
打ち破る者は彼らに先だって登りゆき、彼らは門を打ち破り、これをとおって外に出て行く。彼らの王はその前に進み、主はその先頭に立たれる。 |
