11-1 And the princes of the people dwelt in Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities. 民のつかさたちはエルサレムに住み、その他の民はくじを引いて、十人のうちからひとりずつを、聖都エルサレムに来て住ませ、九人を他の町々に住ませた。
11-2 And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem. またすべてみずから進みでてエルサレムに住むことを申し出た人々は、民はこれを祝福した。
11-3 Now these are the chiefs of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinim, and the children of Solomon’s servants. さてエルサレムに住んだこの州の長たちは次のとおりである。ただしユダの町々ではおのおのその町々にある自分の所有地に住んだ。すなわちイスラエルびと、祭司、レビびと、宮に仕えるしもべ、およびソロモンのしもべであった者たちの子孫である。
11-4 And in Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the children of Perez; そしてエルサレムにはユダの子孫およびベニヤミンの子孫のうちのある者たちが住んだ。すなわちユダの子孫ではウジヤの子アタヤで、ウジヤはゼカリヤの子、ゼカリヤはアマリヤの子、アマリヤはシパテヤの子、シパテヤはマハラレルの子、マハラレルはペレヅの子孫である。
11-5 and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite. またバルクの子マアセヤで、バルクはコロホゼの子、コロホゼはハザヤの子、ハザヤはアダヤの子、アダヤはヨヤリブの子、ヨヤリブはゼカリヤの子、ゼカリヤはシロニびとの子である。
11-6 All the sons of Perez that dwelt in Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men. ペレヅの子孫でエルサレムに住んだ者は合わせて四百六十八人で、みな勇敢な人々である。
11-7 And these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah. ベニヤミンの子孫では次のとおりである。すなわちメシュラムの子サルで、メシュラムはヨエデの子、ヨエデはペダヤの子、ペダヤはコラヤの子、コラヤはマアセヤの子、マアセヤはイテエルの子、イテエルはエサヤの子である。
11-8 And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight. その次はガバイおよびサライなどで合わせて九百二十八人。
11-9 And Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer; and Judah the son of Hassenuah was second over the city. ジクリの子ヨエルが彼らの監督である。ハッセヌアの子ユダがその副官として町を治めた。
11-10 Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin, 祭司ではヨヤリブの子エダヤ、ヤキン、
11-11 Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God, および神の宮のつかさセラヤで、セラヤはヒルキヤの子、ヒルキヤはメシュラムの子、メシュラムはザドクの子、ザドクはメラヨテの子、メラヨテはアヒトブの子である。
11-12 and their brethren that did the work of the house, eight hundred twenty and two; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, 宮の務をするその兄弟は八百二十二人あり、また、エロハムの子アダヤがある。エロハムはペラリヤの子、ペラリヤはアムジの子、アムジはゼカリヤの子、ゼカリヤはパシホルの子、パシホルはマルキヤの子である。
11-13 and his brethren, chiefs of fathers’ houses, two hundred forty and two; and Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer, アダヤの兄弟で、氏族の長たる者は二百四十二人あり、またアザリエルの子アマシサイがある。アザリエルはアハザイの子、アハザイはメシレモテの子、メシレモテはインメルの子である。
11-14 and their brethren, mighty men of valor, a hundred twenty and eight; and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim. その兄弟である勇士は百二十八人あり、その監督はハッゲドリムの子ザブデエルである。
11-15 And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni; レビびとではハシュブの子シマヤで、ハシュブはアズリカムの子、アズリカムはハシャビヤの子、ハシャビヤはブンニの子である。
11-16 and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God; またシャベタイおよびヨザバデがある。これらはレビびとのかしらであって、神の宮の外のわざをつかさどった。
11-17 and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who was the chief to begin the thanksgiving in prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brethren; and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun. またミカの子マッタニヤがある。ミカはザブデの子、ザブデはアサフの子である。マッタニヤは祈の時に感謝の言葉を唱え始める者である。その兄弟のうちのバクブキヤは彼に次ぐ者であった。またシャンマの子アブダがある。シャンマはガラルの子、ガラルはエドトンの子である。
11-18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four. 聖都におるレビびとは合わせて二百八十四人であった。
11-19 Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren, that kept watch at the gates, were a hundred seventy and two. 門衛では門を守るアックブ、タルモンおよびその兄弟たち合わせて百七十二人である。
11-20 And the residue of Israel, of the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance. その他のイスラエルびと、祭司、レビびとたちは皆ユダのすべての町々にあって、おのおの自分の嗣業にとどまった。
11-21 But the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim. ただし宮に仕えるしもべたちはオペルに住み、ヂハおよびギシパが宮に仕えるしもべたちを監督していた。
11-22 The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the business of the house of God. エルサレムにおるレビびとの監督はウジである。ウジはバニの子、バニはハシャビヤの子、ハシャビヤはマッタニヤの子、マッタニヤはミカの子である。ミカは歌うたう者なるアサフの子孫である。ウジは神の宮のわざを監督した。
11-23 For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required. 彼らについては王からの命令があって、歌うたう者に日々の定まった分を与えさせた。
11-24 And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people. またユダの子ゼラの子孫であるメシザベルの子ペタヒヤは王の手に属して民に関するすべての事を取り扱った。
11-25 And as for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt in Kiriath-arba and the towns thereof, and in Dibon and the towns thereof, and in Jekabzeel and the villages thereof, また村々とその田畑については、ユダの子孫の者はキリアテ・アルバとその村々、デボンとその村々、エカブジエルとその村々に住み、
11-26 and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and Beth-pelet, エシュア、モラダおよびベテペレテに住み、
11-27 and in Hazar-shual, and in Beer-sheba and the towns thereof, ハザル・シュアルおよびベエルシバとその村々に住み、
11-28 and in Ziklag, and in Meconah and in the towns thereof, チクラグおよびメコナとその村々に住み、
11-29 and in En-rimmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth, エンリンモン、ザレア、ヤルムテに住み、
11-30 Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and the fields thereof, Azekah and the towns thereof. So they encamped from Beer-sheba unto the valley of Hinnom. ザノア、アドラムおよびそれらの村々、ラキシとその田野、アゼカとその村々に住んだ。こうして彼らはベエルシバからヒンノムの谷にまで宿営した。
11-31 The children of Benjamin also dwelt from Geba onward , at Michmash and Aija, and at Beth-el and the towns thereof, ベニヤミンの子孫はまたゲバからミクマシ、アヤおよびベテルとその村々に住み、
11-32 at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah, アナトテ、ノブ、アナニヤ、
11-33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim, ハゾル、ラマ、ギッタイム、
11-34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat, ハデデ、ゼボイム、ネバラテ、
11-35 Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen. ロド、オノ、工人の谷に住んだ。
11-36 And of the Levites, certain courses in Judah were joined to Benjamin. レビびとの組のユダにあるもののうちベニヤミンに合したものもあった。
