3-1 Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananel. かくて大祭司エリアシブは、その兄弟である祭司たちと共に立って羊の門を建て、これを聖別してそのとびらを設け、さらにこれを聖別して、ハンメアの望楼に及ぼし、またハナネルの望楼にまで及ぼした。
3-2 And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri. 彼の次にはエリコの人々が建て、その次にはイムリの子ザックルが建てた。
3-3 And the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof. 魚の門はハッセナアの子らが建て、その梁を置き、そのとびらと横木と貫の木とを設けた。
3-4 And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana. その次にハッコヅの子ウリヤの子メレモテが修理し、その次にメシザベルの子ベレキヤの子メシュラムが修理し、その次にバアナの子ザドクが修理した。
3-5 And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their lord. その次にテコアびとらが修理したが、その貴人たちはその主の工事に服さなかった。
3-6 And the old gate repaired Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof. 古い門はパセアの子ヨイアダおよびベソデヤの子メシュラムがこれを修理し、その梁を置き、そのとびらと横木と貫の木とを設けた。
3-7 And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, that appertained to the throne of the governor beyond the River. その次にギベオンびとメラテヤ、メロノテびとヤドン、および川向こうの州の知事の行政下にあるギベオンとミヅパの人々が修理した。
3-8 Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths. And next unto him repaired Hananiah one of the perfumers, and they fortified Jerusalem even unto the broad wall. その次にハルハヤの子ウジエルなどの金細工人が修理し、その次に製香者のひとりハナニヤが修理した。こうして彼らはエルサレムを城壁の広い所まで復旧した。
3-9 And next unto them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem. その次にエルサレムの半区域の知事ホルの子レパヤが修理し、
3-10 And next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, over against his house. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabneiah. その次にハルマフの子エダヤが自分の家と向かい合っている所を修理し、その次にはハシャブニヤの子ハットシが修理した。
3-11 Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahath-moab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces. ハリムの子マルキヤおよびバハテ・モアブの子ハシュブも他の部分および炉の望楼を修理した。
3-12 And next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters. その次にエルサレムの他の半区域の知事ハロヘシの子シャルムがその娘たちと共に修理した。
3-13 The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits of the wall unto the dung gate. 谷の門はハヌンがザノアの民と共にこれを修理し、これを建て直して、そのとびらと横木と貫の木とを設け、また糞の門まで城壁一千キュビトを修理した。
3-14 And the dung gate repaired Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth-haccherem; he built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof. 糞の門はベテ・ハケレムの区域の知事レカブの子マルキヤがこれを修理し、これを建て直して、そのとびらと横木と貫の木とを設けた。
3-15 And the fountain gate repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even unto the stairs that go down from the city of David. 泉の門はミヅパの区域の知事コロホゼの子シャルンがこれを修理し、これを建て直して、おおいを施し、そのとびらと横木と貫の木とを設けた。彼はまた王の園のほとりのシラの池に沿った石がきを修理して、ダビデの町から下る階段にまで及んだ。
3-16 After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, unto the place over against the sepulchres of David, and unto the pool that was made, and unto the house of the mighty men. その後にベテズルの半区域の知事アズブクの子ネヘミヤが修理して、ダビデの墓と向かい合った所に及び、掘池と勇士の宅にまで及んだ。
3-17 After him repaired the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next unto him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, for his district. その後にバニの子レホムなどのレビびとが修理し、その次にケイラの半区域の知事ハシャビヤがその区域のために修理した。
3-18 After him repaired their brethren, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah. その後にケイラの半区域の知事ヘナダデの子バワイなどその兄弟たちが修理し、
3-19 And next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, another portion, over against the ascent to the armory at the turning of the wall. その次にエシュアの子でミヅパの知事であるエゼルが、城壁の曲りかどにある武器倉に上る所と向かい合った他の部分を修理し、
3-20 After him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another portion, from the turning of the wall unto the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest. その後にザバイの子バルクが、力をつくして城壁の曲りかどから大祭司エリアシブの家の門までの他の部分を修理し、
3-21 After him repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib. その後にハッコヅの子ウリヤの子メレモテが、エリアシブの家の門からエリアシブの家の端までの他の部分を修理し、
3-22 And after him repaired the priests, the men of the Plain. 彼の後に低地の人々である祭司たちが修理し、
3-23 After them repaired Benjamin and Hasshub over against their house. After them repaired Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah beside his own house. その後にベニヤミンおよびハシュブが、自分たちの家と向かい合っている所を修理し、その後にアナニヤの子マアセヤの子アザリヤが、自分の家の附近を修理し、
3-24 After him repaired Binnui the son of Henadad another portion, from the house of Azariah unto the turning of the wall, and unto the corner. その後にヘナダデの子ビンヌイが、アザリヤの家から城壁の曲りかど、およびすみまでの他の部分を修理した。
3-25 Palal the son of Uzai repaired over against the turning of the wall, and the tower that standeth out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh repaired. ウザイの子パラルは、城壁の曲りかどと向かい合っている所、および監視の庭に近い王の上の家から突き出ている望楼と向かい合っている所を修理した。その後にパロシの子ペダヤ、
3-26 (Now the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel, unto the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that standeth out.) およびオペルに住んでいる宮に仕えるしもべたちが、東の方の水の門と向かい合っている所、および突き出ている望楼と向かい合っている所まで修理した。
3-27 After him the Tekoites repaired another portion, over against the great tower that standeth out, and unto the wall of Ophel. その後にテコアびとが、突き出ている大望楼と向かい合っている他の部分を修理し、オペルの城壁にまで及んだ。
3-28 Above the horse gate repaired the priests, every one over against his own house. 馬の門から上の方は祭司たちが、おのおの自分の家と向かい合っている所を修理した。
3-29 After them repaired Zadok the son of Immer over against his own house. And after him repaired Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate. その後にインメルの子ザドクが、自分の家と向かい合っている所を修理し、その後にシカニヤの子シマヤという東の門を守る者が修理し、
3-30 After him repaired Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, another portion. After him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah over against his chamber. その後にシレミヤの子ハナニヤおよびザラフの第六の子ハヌンが他の部分を修理し、その後にベレキヤの子メシュラムが、自分のへやと向かい合っている所を修理した。
3-31 After him repaired Malchijah one of the goldsmiths unto the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, over against the gate of Hammiphkad, and to the ascent of the corner. その後に金細工人のひとりマルキヤという者が、召集の門と向かい合っている所を修理して、すみの二階のへやに至り、宮に仕えるしもべたちおよび商人の家にまで及んだ。
3-32 And between the ascent of the corner and the sheep gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants. またすみの二階のへやと羊の門の間は金細工人と商人たちがこれを修理した。
