107-1 O give thanks unto Jehovah; For he is good; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever. 「主に感謝せよ、主は恵みふかく、そのいつくしみはとこしえに絶えることがない」と、
107-2 Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary, 主にあがなわれた者は言え。主は彼らを悩みからあがない、
107-3 And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south. もろもろの国から、東、西、北、南から彼らを集められた。
107-4 They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; They found no city of habitation. 彼らは人なき荒野にさまよい、住むべき町にいたる道を見いださなかった。
107-5 Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them. 彼らは飢え、またかわき、その魂は彼らのうちに衰えた。
107-6 Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distresses, 彼らはその悩みのうちに主に呼ばわったので、主は彼らをその悩みから助け出し、
107-7 He led them also by a straight way, That they might go to a city of habitation. 住むべき町に行き着くまで、まっすぐな道に導かれた。
107-8 Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! どうか、彼らが主のいつくしみと、人の子らになされたくすしきみわざとのために、主に感謝するように。
107-9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, And the hungry soul he filleth with good. 主はかわいた魂を満ち足らせ、飢えた魂を良き物で満たされるからである。
107-10 Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron, 暗黒と深いやみの中にいる者、苦しみと、くろがねに縛られた者、
107-11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, And contemned the counsel of the Most High: 彼らは神の言葉にそむき、いと高き者の勧めを軽んじたので、
107-12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labor; They fell down, and there was none to help. 主は重い労働をもって彼らの心を低くされた。彼らはつまずき倒れても、助ける者がなかった。
107-13 Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saved them out of their distresses. 彼らはその悩みのうちに主に呼ばわったので、主は彼らをその悩みから救い、
107-14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bonds in sunder. 暗黒と深いやみから彼らを導き出して、そのかせをこわされた。
107-15 Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! どうか、彼らが主のいつくしみと、人の子らになされたくすしきみわざとのために、主に感謝するように。
107-16 For he hath broken the gates of brass, And cut the bars of iron in sunder. 主は青銅のとびらをこわし、鉄の貫の木を断ち切られたからである。
107-17 Fools because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, are afflicted. ある者はその罪に汚れた行いによって病み、その不義のゆえに悩んだ。
107-18 Their soul abhorreth all manner of food; And they draw near unto the gates of death. 彼らはすべての食物をきらって、死の門に近づいた。
107-19 Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saveth them out of their distresses. 彼らはその悩みのうちに主に呼ばわったので、主は彼らをその悩みから救い、
107-20 He sendeth his word, and healeth them, And delivereth them from their destructions. そのみ言葉をつかわして、彼らをいやし、彼らを滅びから助け出された。
107-21 Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! どうか、彼らが主のいつくしみと、人の子らになされたくすしきみわざとのために、主に感謝するように。
107-22 And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with singing. 彼らが感謝のいけにえをささげ、喜びの歌をもって、そのみわざを言いあらわすように。
107-23 They that go down to the sea in ships, That do business in great waters; 舟で海にくだり、大海で商売をする者は、
107-24 These see the works of Jehovah, And his wonders in the deep. 主のみわざを見、また深い所でそのくすしきみわざを見た。
107-25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, Which lifteth up the waves thereof. 主が命じられると暴風が起って、海の波をあげた。
107-26 They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths: Their soul melteth away because of trouble. 彼らは天にのぼり、淵にくだり、悩みによってその勇気は溶け去り、
107-27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits’ end. 酔った人のようによろめき、よろめいて途方にくれる。
107-28 Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he bringeth them out of their distresses. 彼らはその悩みのうちに主に呼ばわったので、主は彼らをその悩みから救い出された。
107-29 He maketh the storm a calm, So that the waves thereof are still. 主があらしを静められると、海の波は穏やかになった。
107-30 Then are they glad because they are quiet; So he bringeth them unto their desired haven. こうして彼らは波の静まったのを喜び、主は彼らをその望む港へ導かれた。
107-31 Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! どうか、彼らが主のいつくしみと、人の子らになされたくすしきみわざとのために、主に感謝するように。
107-32 Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, And praise him in the seat of the elders. 彼らが民の集会で主をあがめ、長老の会合で主をほめたたえるように。
107-33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, And watersprings into a thirsty ground; 主は川を野に変らせ、泉をかわいた地に変らせ、
107-34 A fruitful land into a salt desert, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein. 肥えた地をそれに住む者の悪のゆえに塩地に変らせられる。
107-35 He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, And a dry land into watersprings. 主は野を池に変らせ、かわいた地を泉に変らせ、
107-36 And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, That they may prepare a city of habitation, 飢えた者をそこに住まわせられる。こうして彼らはその住むべき町を建て、
107-37 And sow fields, and plant vineyards, And get them fruits of increase. 畑に種をまき、ぶどう畑を設けて多くの収穫を得た。
107-38 He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; And he suffereth not their cattle to decrease. 主が彼らを祝福されたので彼らは大いにふえ、その家畜の減るのをゆるされなかった。
107-39 Again, they are diminished and bowed down .Through oppression, trouble, and sorrow. 彼らがしえたげと、悩みと、悲しみとによって減り、かつ卑しめられたとき、
107-40 He poureth contempt upon princes, And causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way. 主はもろもろの君に侮りをそそぎ、道なき荒れ地にさまよわせられた。
107-41 Yet setteth he the needy on high from affliction, And maketh him families like a flock. しかし主は貧しい者を悩みのうちからあげて、その家族を羊の群れのようにされた。
107-42 The upright shall see it, and be glad; And all iniquity shall stop her mouth. 正しい者はこれを見て喜び、もろもろの不義はその口を閉じた。
107-43 Whoso is wise will give heed to these things; And they will consider the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah. すべて賢い者はこれらの事に心をよせ、主のいつくしみをさとるようにせよ。
