Praise ye Jehovah. Praise ye the name of Jehovah; Praise him, O ye servants of Jehovah, |
主をほめたたえよ、主のみ名をほめたたえよ。主のしもべたちよ、ほめたたえよ。 |

Ye that stand in the house of Jehovah, In the courts of the house of our God. |
主の家に立つ者、われらの神の家の大庭に立つ者よ、ほめたたえよ。 |
| 135-3 |
Praise ye Jehovah; for Jehovah is good: Sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant. |
主は恵みふかい、主をほめたたえよ。主は情ぶかい、そのみ名をほめ歌え。 |
| 135-4 |
For Jehovah hath chosen Jacob unto himself, And Israel for his own possession. |
主はおのがためにヤコブを選び、イスラエルを選んで、おのれの所有とされた。 |
| 135-5 |
For I know that Jehovah is great, And that our Lord is above all gods. |
わたしは主の大いなることと、われらの主のすべての神にまさることとを知っている。 |
| 135-6 |
Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, that hath he done, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps; |
主はそのみこころにかなう事を、天にも地にも、海にもすべての淵にも行われる。 |

Who causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; Who maketh lightnings for the rain; Who bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries; |
主は地のはてから雲をのぼらせ、雨のためにいなずまを造り、その倉から風を出される。 |

Who smote the first-born of Egypt, Both of man and beast; |
主は人から獣にいたるまで、エジプトのういごを撃たれた。 |
| 135-9 |
Who sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, Upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants; |
エジプトよ、主はおまえの中に、しるしと不思議とを送って、パロとそのすべてのしもべとに臨まれた。 |

Who smote many nations, And slew mighty kings, |
主は多くの国民を撃ち、力ある王たちを殺された。 |
| 135-11 |
Sihon king of the Amorites, And Og king of Bashan, And all the kingdoms of Canaan, |
すなわちアモリびとの王シホン、バシャンの王オグ、ならびにカナンのすべての国々である。 |
| 135-12 |
And gave their land for a heritage, A heritage unto Israel his people. |
主は彼らの地を嗣業とし、その民イスラエルに嗣業として与えられた。 |
| 135-13 |
Thy name, O Jehovah, endureth for ever; Thy memorial name, O Jehovah, throughout all generations. |
主よ、あなたのみ名はとこしえに絶えることがない。主よ、あなたの名声はよろずよに及ぶ。 |
| 135-14 |
For Jehovah will judge his people, And repent himself concerning his servants. |
主はその民をさばき、そのしもべらにあわれみをかけられるからである。 |

The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
The work of men’s hands.

もろもろの国民の偶像はしろがねと、こがねで、人の手のわざである。 |
| 135-16 |
They have mouths, but they speak not; Eyes have they, but they see not; |
それは口があっても語ることができない。目があっても見ることができない。 |
| 135-17 |
They have ears, but they hear not; Neither is there any breath in their mouths. |
耳があっても聞くことができない。またその口には息がない。 |
| 135-18 |
They that make them shall be like unto them; Yea, every one that trusteth in them. |
これを造る者と、これに信頼する者とはみな、これと等しい者になる。 |
| 135-19 |
O house of Israel, bless ye Jehovah: O house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah: |
イスラエルの家よ、主をほめよ。アロンの家よ、主をほめよ。 |
| 135-20 |
O house of Levi, bless ye Jehovah: Ye that fear Jehovah, bless ye Jehovah. |
レビの家よ、主をほめよ。主を恐れる者よ、主をほめまつれ。 |
| 135-21 |
Blessed be Jehovah out of Zion, Who dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye Jehovah. |
エルサレムに住まわれる主は、シオンからほめたたえらるべきである。 |
