| 143-1 |
Hear my prayer, O Jehovah; give ear to my supplications: In thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. |
主よ、わが祈を聞き、わが願いに耳を傾けてください。あなたの真実と、あなたの正義とをもって、わたしにお答えください。 |
| 143-2 |
And enter not into judgment with thy servant; For in thy sight no man living is righteous. |
あなたのしもべのさばきにたずさわらないでください。生ける者はひとりもみ前に義とされないからです。 |
| 143-3 |
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; He hath smitten my life down to the ground: He hath made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead. |
敵はわたしをせめ、わがいのちを地に踏みにじり、死んで久しく時を経た者のようにわたしを暗い所に住まわせました。 |

Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; My heart within me is desolate. |
それゆえ、わが霊はわがうちに消えうせようとし、わが心はわがうちに荒れさびれています。 |

I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy doings; I muse on the work of thy hands. |
わたしはいにしえの日を思い出し、あなたが行われたすべての事を考え、あなたのみ手のわざを思います。 |

I spread forth my hands unto thee: My soul thirsteth after thee, as a weary land. (Selah) |
わたしはあなたにむかって手を伸べ、わが魂は、かわききった地のようにあなたを慕います。(セラ) |
| 143-7 |
Make haste to answer me, O Jehovah; my spirit faileth: Hide not thy face from me, Lest I become like them that go down into the pit. |
主よ、すみやかにわたしにお答えください。わが霊は衰えます。わたしにみ顔を隠さないでください。さもないと、わたしは穴にくだる者のようになるでしょう。 |

Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; For in thee do I trust: Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; For I lift up my soul unto thee. |
あしたに、あなたのいつくしみを聞かせてください。わたしはあなたに信頼します。わが歩むべき道を教えてください。わが魂はあなたを仰ぎ望みます。 |

Deliver me, O Jehovah, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. |
主よ、わたしをわが敵から助け出してください。わたしは避け所を得るためにあなたのもとにのがれました。 |

Teach me to do thy will; For thou art my God: Thy Spirit is good; Lead me in the land of uprightness. |
あなたのみむねを行うことを教えてください。あなたはわが神です。恵みふかい、みたまをもってわたしを平らかな道に導いてください。 |

Quicken me, O Jehovah, for thy name’s sake: In thy righteousness bring my soul out of trouble. |
主よ、み名のために、わたしを生かし、あなたの義によって、わたしを悩みから救い出してください。 |

And in thy lovingkindness cut off mine enemies, And destroy all them that afflict my soul; For I am thy servant. |
また、あなたのいつくしみによって、わが敵を断ち、わがあだをことごとく滅ぼしてください。わたしはあなたのしもべです。 |
