| 19-1 |
The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork. |
もろもろの天は神の栄光をあらわし、大空はみ手のわざをしめす。 |
| 19-2 |
Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night showeth knowledge. |
この日は言葉をかの日につたえ、この夜は知識をかの夜につげる。 |
| 19-3 |
There is no speech nor language; Their voice is not heard. |
話すことなく、語ることなく、その声も聞えないのに、 |
| 19-4 |
Their line is gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, |
その響きは全地にあまねく、その言葉は世界のはてにまで及ぶ。その言葉は世界のはてにまで及ぶ。 |

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course. |
日は花婿がその祝のへやから出てくるように、また勇士が競い走るように、その道を喜び走る。 |
| 19-6 |
His going forth is from the end of the heavens, And his circuit unto the ends of it; And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. |
それは天のはてからのぼって、天のはてにまで、めぐって行く。その暖まりをこうむらないものはない。 |
| 19-7 |
The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul: The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple. |
主のおきては完全であって、魂を生きかえらせ、主のあかしは確かであって、無学な者を賢くする。 |
| 19-8 |
The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart: The commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes. |
主のさとしは正しくて、心を喜ばせ、主の戒めはまじりなくて、眼を明らかにする。 |
| 19-9 |
The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever: The ordinances of Jehovah are true, and righteous altogether. |
主を恐れる道は清らかで、とこしえに絶えることがなく、主のさばきは真実であって、ことごとく正しい。 |
| 19-10 |
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the droppings of the honeycomb. |
これらは金よりも、多くの純金よりも慕わしく、また蜜よりも、蜂の巣のしたたりよりも甘い。 |
| 19-11 |
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: In keeping them there is great reward. |
あなたのしもべは、これらによって戒めをうける。これらを守れば、大いなる報いがある。 |
| 19-12 |
Who can discern his errors? Clear thou me from hidden faults. |
だれが自分のあやまちを知ることができましようか。どうか、わたしを隠れたとがから解き放ってください。 |
| 19-13 |
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me: Then shall I be upright, And I shall be clear from great transgression. |
また、あなたのしもべを引きとめて、故意の罪を犯させず、これに支配されることのないようにしてください。そうすれば、わたしはあやまちのない者となって、大いなるとがを免れることができるでしょう。 |
| 19-14 |
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in thy sight, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer. |
わが岩、わがあがないぬしなる主よ、どうか、わたしの口の言葉と、心の思いがあなたの前に喜ばれますように。 |
