| 27-1 |
Jehovah is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? |
主はわたしの光、わたしの救だ、わたしはだれを恐れよう。主はわたしの命のとりでだ。わたしはだれをおじ恐れよう。 |

When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, Even mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell. |
わたしのあだ、わたしの敵である悪を行う者どもが、襲ってきて、わたしをそしり、わたしを攻めるとき、彼らはつまずき倒れるであろう。 |

Though a host should encamp against me, My heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, Even then will I be confident. |
たとい軍勢が陣営を張って、わたしを攻めても、わたしの心は恐れない。たといいくさが起って、わたしを攻めても、なおわたしはみずから頼むところがある。 |

One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after; That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of Jehovah, And to inquire in his temple. |
わたしは一つの事を主に願った、わたしはそれを求める。わたしの生きるかぎり、主の家に住んで、主のうるわしきを見、その宮で尋ねきわめることを。 |

For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion: In the covert of his tabernacle will he hide me; He will lift me up upon a rock. |
それは主が悩みの日に、その仮屋のうちにわたしを潜ませ、その幕屋の奥にわたしを隠し、岩の上にわたしを高く置かれるからである。 |

And now shall my head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me. And I will offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto Jehovah. |
今わたしのこうべはわたしをめぐる敵の上に高くあげられる。それゆえ、わたしは主の幕屋で喜びの声をあげて、いけにえをささげ、歌って、主をほめたたえるであろう。 |

Hear, O Jehovah, when I cry with my voice: Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. |
主よ、わたしが声をあげて呼ばわるとき、聞いて、わたしをあわれみ、わたしに答えてください。 |
| 27-8 |
When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; My heart said unto thee, Thy face, Jehovah, will I seek. |
あなたは仰せられました、「わが顔をたずね求めよ」と。あなたにむかって、わたしの心は言います、「主よ、わたしはみ顔をたずね求めます」と。 |
| 27-9 |
Hide not thy face from me; Put not thy servant away in anger: Thou hast been my help; Cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. |
み顔をわたしに隠さないでください。怒ってあなたのしもべを退けないでください。あなたはわたしの助けです。わが救の神よ、わたしを追い出し、わたしを捨てないでください。 |

When my father and my mother forsake me, Then Jehovah will take me up. |
たとい父母がわたしを捨てても、主がわたしを迎えられるでしょう。 |
| 27-11 |
Teach me thy way, O Jehovah; And lead me in a plain path, Because of mine enemies. |
主よ、あなたの道をわたしに教え、わたしのあだのゆえに、わたしを平らかな道に導いてください。 |
| 27-12 |
Deliver me not over unto the will of mine adversaries: For false witnesses are risen up against me, And such as breathe out cruelty. |
わたしのあだの望むがままに、わたしを引き渡さないでください。偽りのあかしをする者がわたしに逆らって起り、暴言を吐くからです。 |
| 27-13 |
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah In the land of the living. |
わたしは信じます、生ける者の地でわたしは主の恵みを見ることを。 |
| 27-14 |
Wait for Jehovah: Be strong, and let thy heart take courage; Yea, wait thou for Jehovah. |
主を待ち望め、強く、かつ雄々しくあれ。主を待ち望め。 |
