| 69-1 |
Save me, O God; For the waters are come in unto my soul. |
神よ、わたしをお救いください。大水が流れ来て、わたしの首にまで達しました。 |
| 69-2 |
I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. |
わたしは足がかりもない深い泥の中に沈みました。わたしは深い水に陥り、大水がわたしの上を流れ過ぎました。 |
| 69-3 |
I am weary with my crying; my throat is dried: Mine eyes fail while I wait for my God. |
わたしは叫びによって疲れ、わたしののどはかわき、わたしの目は神を待ちわびて衰えました。 |
| 69-4 |
They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: They that would cut me off, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: That which I took not away I have to restore. |
ゆえなく、わたしを憎む者はわたしの頭の毛よりも多く、偽ってわたしの敵となり、わたしを滅ぼそうとする者は強いのです。わたしは盗まなかった物をも償わなければならないのですか。 |

O God, thou knowest my foolishness; And my sins are not hid from thee. |
神よ、あなたはわたしの愚かなことを知っておられます。わたしのもろもろのとがはあなたに隠れることはありません。 |
| 69-6 |
Let not them that wait for thee be put to shame through me, O Lord Jehovah of hosts: Let not those that seek thee be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel. |
万軍の神、主よ、あなたを待ち望む者がわたしの事によって、はずかしめられることのないようにしてください。イスラエルの神よ、あなたを求める者がわたしの事によって、恥を負わせられることのないようにしてください。 |

Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; Shame hath covered my face. |
わたしはあなたのためにそしりを負い、恥がわたしの顔をおおったのです。 |
| 69-8 |
I am become a stranger unto my brethren, And an alien unto my mother’s children. |
わたしはわが兄弟には、知らぬ者となり、わが母の子らには、のけ者となりました。 |
| 69-9 |
For the zeal of thy house hath eaten me up; And the reproaches of them that reproach thee are fallen upon me. |
あなたの家を思う熱心がわたしを食いつくし、あなたをそしる者のそしりがわたしに及んだからです。 |
| 69-10 |
When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, That was to my reproach. |
わたしが断食をもってわたしの魂を悩ませば、かえってそれによってそしりをうけました。 |
| 69-11 |
When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword unto them. |
わたしが荒布を衣とすれば、かえって彼らのことわざとなりました。 |
| 69-12 |
They that sit in the gate talk of me; And I am the song of the drunkards. |
わたしは門に座する者の話題となり、酔いどれの歌となりました。 |
| 69-13 |
But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Jehovah, in an acceptable time: O God, in the abundance of thy lovingkindness, Answer me in the truth of thy salvation. |
しかし主よ、わたしはあなたに祈ります。神よ、恵みの時に、あなたのいつくしみの豊かなるにより、わたしにお答えください。 |
| 69-14 |
Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: Let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters. |
あなたのまことの救により、わたしを泥の中に沈まぬよう助け出してください。わたしを憎む者から、また深い水からわたしを助け出してください。 |
| 69-15 |
Let not the waterflood overwhelm me, Neither let the deep swallow me up; And let not the pit shut its mouth upon me. |
大水がわたしの上を流れ過ぎることなく、淵がわたしをのむことなく、穴がその口をわたしの上に閉じることのないようにしてください。 |
| 69-16 |
Answer me, O Jehovah; for thy lovingkindness is good: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies turn thou unto me. |
主よ、あなたのいつくしみの深きにより、わたしにお答えください。あなたのあわれみの豊かなるにより、わたしを顧みてください。 |
| 69-17 |
And hide not thy face from thy servant; For I am in distress; answer me speedily. |
あなたの顔をしもべに隠さないでください。わたしは悩んでいるのです。すみやかにわたしにお答えください。 |
| 69-18 |
Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: Ransom me because of mine enemies. |
わたしに近く寄って、わたしをあがない、わが敵のゆえにわたしをお救いください。 |
| 69-19 |
Thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: Mine adversaries are all before thee. |
あなたはわたしの受けるそしりと、恥と、はずかしめとを知っておられます。わたしのあだは皆あなたの前にあります。 |
| 69-20 |
Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: And I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none. |
そしりがわたしの心を砕いたので、わたしは望みを失いました。わたしは同情する者を求めたけれども、ひとりもなく、慰める者を求めたけれども、ひとりも見ませんでした。 |
| 69-21 |
They gave me also gall for my food; And in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. |
彼らはわたしの食物に毒を入れ、わたしのかわいた時に酢を飲ませました。 |
| 69-22 |
Let their table before them become a snare; And when they are in peace, let it become a trap. |
彼らの前の食卓を網とし、彼らが犠牲をささげる祭を、わなとしてください。 |
| 69-23 |
Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see; And make their loins continually to shake. |
彼らの目を暗くして見えなくし、彼らの腰を常に震わせ、 |
| 69-24 |
Pour out thine indignation upon them, And let the fierceness of thine anger overtake them. |
あなたの憤りを彼らの上にそそぎ、あなたの激しい怒りを彼らに追いつかせてください。 |

Let their habitation be desolate; Let none dwell in their tents. |
彼らの宿営を荒し、ひとりもその天幕に住まわせないでください。 |
| 69-26 |
For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; And they tell of the sorrow of those whom thou hast wounded. |
彼らはあなたが撃たれた者を迫害し、あなたが傷つけられた者をさらに苦しめるからです。 |
| 69-27 |
Add iniquity unto their iniquity; And let them not come into thy righteousness. |
彼らに、罰に罰を加え、あなたの赦免にあずからせないでください。 |
| 69-28 |
Let them be blotted out of the book of life, And not be written with the righteous. |
彼らをいのちの書から消し去って、義人のうちに記録されることのないようにしてください。 |

But I am poor and sorrowful: Let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high. |
しかしわたしは悩み苦しんでいます。神よ、あなたの救がわたしを高い所に置かれますように。 |

I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify him with thanksgiving. |
わたしは歌をもって神の名をほめたたえ、感謝をもって神をあがめます。 |
| 69-31 |
And it will please Jehovah better than an ox, Or a bullock that hath horns and hoofs. |
これは雄牛または角とひずめのある雄牛にまさって主を喜ばせるでしょう。 |
| 69-32 |
The meek have seen it, and are glad: Ye that seek after God, let your heart live. |
へりくだる者は、これを見て喜べ。神を求める者よ、あなたがたの心を生きかえらせよ。 |
| 69-33 |
For Jehovah heareth the needy, And despiseth not his prisoners. |
主は乏しい者に聞き、その捕われ人をかろしめられないからである。 |
| 69-34 |
Let heaven and earth praise him, The seas, and everything that moveth therein. |
天と地は主をほめたたえ、海とその中に動くあらゆるものは主をほめたたえよ。 |
| 69-35 |
For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah; And they shall abide there, and have it in possession. |
神はシオンを救い、ユダの町々を建て直されるからである。そのしもべらはそこに住んでこれを所有し、 |
| 69-36 |
The seed also of his servants shall inherit it; And they that love his name shall dwell therein. |
そのしもべらの子孫はこれを継ぎ、み名を愛する者はその中に住むであろう。 |
