| 72-1 |
Give the king thy judgments, O God, And thy righteousness unto the king’s son. |
神よ、あなたの公平を王に与え、あなたの義を王の子に与えてください。 |
| 72-2 |
He will judge thy people with righteousness, And thy poor with justice. |
彼は義をもってあなたの民をさばき、公平をもってあなたの貧しい者をさばくように。 |
| 72-3 |
The mountains shall bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness. |
もろもろの山と丘とは義によって民に平和を与えるように。 |
| 72-4 |
He will judge the poor of the people, He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor. |
彼は民の貧しい者の訴えを弁護し、乏しい者に救を与え、しえたげる者を打ち砕くように。 |
| 72-5 |
They shall fear thee while the sun endureth, And so long as the moon, throughout all generations. |
彼は日と月とのあらんかぎり、世々生きながらえるように。 |
| 72-6 |
He will come down like rain upon the mown grass, As showers that water the earth. |
彼は刈り取った牧草の上に降る雨のごとく、地を潤す夕立ちのごとく臨むように。 |
| 72-7 |
In his days shall the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace, till the moon be no more. |
彼の世に義は栄え、平和は月のなくなるまで豊かであるように。 |
| 72-8 |
He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, And from the River unto the ends of the earth. |
彼は海から海まで治め、川から地のはてまで治めるように。 |
| 72-9 |
They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; And his enemies shall lick the dust. |
彼のあだは彼の前にかがみ、彼の敵はちりをなめるように。 |
| 72-10 |
The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute: The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. |
タルシシおよび島々の王たちはみつぎを納め、シバとセバの王たちは贈り物を携えて来るように。 |
| 72-11 |
Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; All nations shall serve him. |
もろもろの王は彼の前にひれ伏し、もろもろの国民は彼に仕えるように。 |
| 72-12 |
For he will deliver the needy when he crieth, And the poor, that hath no helper. |
彼は乏しい者をその呼ばわる時に救い、貧しい者と、助けなき者とを救う。 |
| 72-13 |
He will have pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he will save. |
彼は弱い者と乏しい者とをあわれみ、乏しい者のいのちを救い、 |
| 72-14 |
He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight: |
彼らのいのちを、しえたげと暴力とからあがなう。彼らの血は彼の目に尊い。 |
| 72-15 |
And they shall live; and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: And men shall pray for him continually; They shall bless him all the day long. |
彼は生きながらえ、シバの黄金が彼にささげられ、彼のために絶えず祈がささげられ、ひねもす彼のために祝福が求められるように。 |
| 72-16 |
There shall be abundance of grain in the earth upon the top of the mountains; The fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: And they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. |
国のうちには穀物が豊かにみのり、その実はレバノンのように山々の頂に波打ち、人々は野の草のごとく町々に栄えるように。 |
| 72-17 |
His name shall endure for ever; His name shall be continued as long as the sun: And men shall be blessed in him; All nations shall call him happy. |
彼の名はとこしえに続き、その名声は日のあらん限り、絶えることのないように。人々は彼によって祝福を得、もろもろの国民は彼をさいわいなる者ととなえるように。 |
| 72-18 |
Blessed be Jehovah God, the God of Israel, Who only doeth wondrous things: |
イスラエルの神、主はほむべきかな。ただ主のみ、くすしきみわざをなされる。 |
| 72-19 |
And blessed be his glorious name for ever; And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen. |
その光栄ある名はとこしえにほむべきかな。全地はその栄光をもって満たされるように。アァメン、アァメン。 |

The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended. |
