| 79-1 |
O God, the nations are come into thine inheritance; Thy holy temple have they defiled; They have laid Jerusalem in heaps. |
神よ、もろもろの異邦人はあなたの嗣業の地を侵し、あなたの聖なる宮をけがし、エルサレムを荒塚としました。 |
| 79-2 |
The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be food unto the birds of the heavens, The flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth. |
彼らはあなたのしもべのしかばねを空の鳥に与えてえさとし、あなたの聖徒の肉を地の獣に与え、 |
| 79-3 |
Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; And there was none to bury them. |
その血をエルサレムのまわりに水のように流し、これを葬る人がありませんでした。 |
| 79-4 |
We are become a reproach to our neighbors, A scoffing and derision to them that are round about us. |
われらは隣り人にそしられ、まわりの人々に侮られ、あざけられる者となりました。 |
| 79-5 |
How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou be angry for ever? Shall thy jealousy burn like fire? |
主よ、いつまでなのですか。とこしえにお怒りになられるのですか。あなたのねたみは火のように燃えるのですか。 |
| 79-6 |
Pour out thy wrath upon the nations that know thee not, And upon the kingdoms that call not upon thy name. |
どうか、あなたを知らない異邦人と、あなたの名を呼ばない国々の上にあなたの怒りを注いでください。 |
| 79-7 |
For they have devoured Jacob, And laid waste his habitation. |
彼らはヤコブを滅ぼし、そのすみかを荒したからです。 |
| 79-8 |
Remember not against us the iniquities of our forefathers: Let thy tender mercies speedily meet us; For we are brought very low. |
われらの先祖たちの不義をみこころにとめられず、あわれみをもって、すみやかにわれらを迎えてください。われらは、はなはだしく低くされたからです。 |
| 79-9 |
Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name; And deliver us, and forgive our sins, for thy name’s sake. |
われらの救の神よ、み名の栄光のためにわれらを助け、み名のためにわれらを救い、われらの罪をおゆるしください。 |
| 79-10 |
Wherefore should the nations say, Where is their God? Let the avenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed .Be known among the nations in our sight. |
どうして異邦人は言うのでしょう、「彼らの神はどこにいるのか」と。あなたのしもべらの流された血の報いをわれらのまのあたりになして、異邦人に知らせてください。 |
| 79-11 |
Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee: According to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to death; |
捕われ人の嘆きをあなたのみ前にいたらせ、あなたの大いなる力により、死に定められた者を守りながらえさせてください。 |
| 79-12 |
And render unto our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom Their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord. |
主よ、われらの隣り人があなたをそしったそしりを七倍にして彼らのふところに報い返してください。 |
| 79-13 |
So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture .Will give thee thanks for ever: We will show forth thy praise to all generations. |
そうすれば、あなたの民、あなたの牧の羊は、とこしえにあなたに感謝し、世々あなたをほめたたえるでしょう。 |
