１１-１ Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ. わたしがキリストにならう者であるように、あなたがたもわたしにならう者になりなさい。
１１-２ Now I praise you that ye remember me in all things, and hold fast the traditions, even as I delivered them to you. あなたがたが、何かにつけわたしを覚えていて、あなたがたに伝えたとおりに言伝えを守っているので、わたしは満足に思う。
１１-３ But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. しかし、あなたがたに知っていてもらいたい。すべての男のかしらはキリストであり、女のかしらは男であり、キリストのかしらは神である。
１１-４ Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoreth his head. 祈をしたり預言をしたりする時、かしらに物をかぶる男は、そのかしらをはずかしめる者である。
１１-５ But every woman praying or prophesying with her head unveiled dishonoreth her head; for it is one and the same thing as if she were shaven. 祈をしたり預言をしたりする時、かしらにおおいをかけない女は、そのかしらをはずかしめる者である。それは、髪をそったのとまったく同じだからである。
１１-６ For if a woman is not veiled, let her also be shorn: but if it is a shame to a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be veiled. もし女がおおいをかけないなら、髪を切ってしまうがよい。髪を切ったりそったりするのが、女にとって恥ずべきことであるなら、おおいをかけるべきである。
１１-７ For a man indeed ought not to have his head veiled, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. 男は、神のかたちであり栄光であるから、かしらに物をかぶるべきではない。女は、また男の光栄である。
１１-８ For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man: なぜなら、男が女から出たのではなく、女が男から出たのだからである。
１１-９ for neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man: また、男は女のために造られたのではなく、女が男のために造られたのである。
１１-１０ for this cause ought the woman to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels. それだから、女は、かしらに権威のしるしをかぶるべきである。それは天使たちのためでもある。
１１-１１ Nevertheless, neither is the woman without the man, nor the man without the woman, in the Lord. ただ、主にあっては、男なしには女はないし、女なしには男はない。
１１-１２ For as the woman is of the man, so is the man also by the woman; but all things are of God. それは、女が男から出たように、男もまた女から生れたからである。そして、すべてのものは神から出たのである。
１１-１３ Judge ye in yourselves: is it seemly that a woman pray unto God unveiled? あなたがた自身で判断してみるがよい。女がおおいをかけずに神に祈るのは、ふさわしいことだろうか。
１１-１４ Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a dishonor to him? 自然そのものが教えているではないか。男に長い髪があれば彼の恥になり、
１１-１５ But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. 女に長い髪があれば彼女の光栄になるのである。長い髪はおおいの代りに女に与えられているものだからである。
１１-１６ But if any man seemeth to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. しかし、だれかがそれに反対の意見を持っていても、そんな風習はわたしたちにはなく、神の諸教会にもない。
１１-１７ But in giving you this charge, I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better but for the worse. ところで、次のことを命じるについては、あなたがたをほめるわけにはいかない。というのは、あなたがたの集まりが利益にならないで、かえって損失になっているからである。
１１-１８ For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and I partly believe it. まず、あなたがたが教会に集まる時、お互の間に分争があることを、わたしは耳にしており、そしていくぶんか、それを信じている。
１１-１９ For there must be also factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you. たしかに、あなたがたの中でほんとうの者が明らかにされるためには、分派もなければなるまい。
１１-２０ When therefore ye assemble yourselves together, it is not possible to eat the Lord’s supper: そこで、あなたがたが一緒に集まるとき、主の晩餐を守ることができないでいる。
１１-２１ for in your eating each one taketh before other his own supper; and one is hungry, and another is drunken. というのは、食事の際、各自が自分の晩餐をかってに先に食べるので、飢えている人があるかと思えば、酔っている人がある始末である。
１１-２２ What, have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and put them to shame that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you? In this I praise you not. あなたがたには、飲み食いをする家がないのか。それとも、神の教会を軽んじ、貧しい人々をはずかしめるのか。わたしはあなたがたに対して、なんと言おうか。あなたがたを、ほめようか。この事では、ほめるわけにはいかない。
１１-２３ For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was betrayed took bread; わたしは、主から受けたことを、また、あなたがたに伝えたのである。すなわち、主イエスは、渡される夜、パンをとり、
１１-２４ and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, This is my body, which is for you: this do in remembrance of me. 感謝してこれをさき、そして言われた、「これはあなたがたのための、わたしのからだである。わたしを記念するため、このように行いなさい」。
１１-２５ In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 食事ののち、杯をも同じようにして言われた、「この杯は、わたしの血による新しい契約である。飲むたびに、わたしの記念として、このように行いなさい」。
１１-２６ For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord’s death till he come. だから、あなたがたは、このパンを食し、この杯を飲むごとに、それによって、主がこられる時に至るまで、主の死を告げ知らせるのである。
１１-２７ Wherefore whosoever shall eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. だから、ふさわしくないままでパンを食し主の杯を飲む者は、主のからだと血とを犯すのである。
１１-２８ But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup. だれでもまず自分を吟味し、それからパンを食べ杯を飲むべきである。
１１-２９ For he that eateth and drinketh, eateth and drinketh judgment unto himself, if he discern not the body. 主のからだをわきまえないで飲み食いする者は、その飲み食いによって自分にさばきを招くからである。
１１-３０ For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep. あなたがたの中に、弱い者や病人が大ぜいおり、また眠った者も少なくないのは、そのためである。
１１-３１ But if we discerned ourselves, we should not be judged. しかし、自分をよくわきまえておくならば、わたしたちはさばかれることはないであろう。
１１-３２ But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world. しかし、さばかれるとすれば、それは、この世と共に罪に定められないために、主の懲らしめを受けることなのである。
１１-３３ Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, wait one for another. それだから、兄弟たちよ。食事のために集まる時には、互に待ち合わせなさい。
１１-３４ If any man is hungry, let him eat at home; that your coming together be not unto judgment. And the rest will I set in order whensoever I come. もし空腹であったら、さばきを受けに集まることにならないため、家で食べるがよい。そのほかの事は、わたしが行った時に、定めることにしよう。
