| 29-1 |
Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old; and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah. |
ヒゼキヤは王となった時二十五歳で、二十九年の間エルサレムで世を治めた。その母はアビヤと言って、ゼカリヤの娘である。 |
| 29-2 |
And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that David his father had done. |
ヒゼキヤは父ダビデがすべてなしたように主の良しと見られることをした。 |
| 29-3 |
He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of Jehovah, and repaired them. |
彼はその治世の第一年の一月に主の宮の戸を開き、かつこれを繕った。 |
| 29-4 |
And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the broad place on the east, |
彼は祭司とレビびとを連れていって、東の広場に集め、 |
| 29-5 |
and said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites; now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of Jehovah, the God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place. |
彼らに言った、「レビびとよ、聞きなさい。あなたがたは今、身を清めて、あなたがたの先祖の神、主の宮を清め、聖所から汚れを除き去りなさい。 |
| 29-6 |
For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of Jehovah, and turned their backs. |
われわれの先祖は罪を犯し、われわれの神、主の悪と見られることを行って、主を捨て、主のすまいに顔をそむけ、うしろを向けた。 |
| 29-7 |
Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt-offerings in the holy place unto the God of Israel. |
また廊の戸を閉じ、ともしびを消し、聖所でイスラエルの神に香をたかず、燔祭をささげなかった。 |
| 29-8 |
Wherefore the wrath of Jehovah was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath delivered them to be tossed to and fro, to be an astonishment, and a hissing, as ye see with your eyes. |
それゆえ、主の怒りはユダとエルサレムに臨み、あなたがたが目に見るように、主は彼らを恐れと驚きと物笑いにされた。 |
| 29-9 |
For, lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this. |
見よ、われわれの父たちはつるぎにたおれ、われわれのむすこたち、むすめたち、妻たちはこれがために捕虜となった。 |
| 29-10 |
Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with Jehovah, the God of Israel, that his fierce anger may turn away from us. |
今わたしは、イスラエルの神、主と契約を結ぶ志をもっている。そうすればその激しい怒りは、われわれを離れるであろう。 |
| 29-11 |
My sons, be not now negligent; for Jehovah hath chosen you to stand before him, to minister unto him, and that ye should be his ministers, and burn incense. |
わが子らよ、今は怠ってはならない。主はあなたがたを選んで、主の前に立って仕えさせ、ご自分に仕える者となし、また香をたく者とされたからである」。 |
| 29-12 |
Then the Levites arose, Mahath, the son of Amasai, and Joel the son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites; and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of Abdi, and Azariah the son of Jehallelel; and of the Gershonites, Joah the son of Zimmah, and Eden the son of Joah; |
そこでレビびとは立ち上がった。すなわちコハテびとの子孫のうちでは、アマサイの子マハテおよびアザリヤの子ヨエル。メラリの子孫では、アブデの子キシおよびエハレレルの子アザリヤ。ゲルションびとのうちでは、ジンマの子ヨアおよびヨアの子エデン。 |
| 29-13 |
and of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeuel; and of the sons of Asaph, Zechariah and Mattaniah; |
エリザパンの子孫のうちでは、シムリとエイエル。アサフの子孫のうちでは、ゼカリヤとマッタニヤ。 |
| 29-14 |
and of the sons of Heman, Jehuel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun, Shemaiah and Uzziel. |
ヘマンの子孫のうちでは、エヒエルとシメイ。エドトンの子孫のうちでは、シマヤとウジエルである。 |
| 29-15 |
And they gathered their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and went in, according to the commandment of the king by the words of Jehovah, to cleanse the house of Jehovah. |
彼らはその兄弟たちを集めて身を清め、主の言葉による王の命令に従って、主の宮を清めるためにはいって来た。 |
| 29-16 |
And the priests went in unto the inner part of the house of Jehovah, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of Jehovah into the court of the house of Jehovah. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad to the brook Kidron. |
祭司たちが主の宮の奥にはいってこれを清め、主の宮にあった汚れた物をことごとく主の宮の庭に運び出すと、レビびとはそれを受けて外に出し、キデロン川に持って行った。 |
| 29-17 |
Now they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month came they to the porch of Jehovah; and they sanctified the house of Jehovah in eight days: and on the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end. |
彼らは正月の元日に清めることを始めて、その月の八日に主の宮の廊に達した。それから主の宮を清めるのに八日を費し、正月の十六日にこれを終った。 |
| 29-18 |
Then they went in to Hezekiah the king within the palace , and said, We have cleansed all the house of Jehovah, and the altar of burnt-offering, with all the vessels thereof, and the table of showbread, with all the vessels thereof. |
そこで彼らはヒゼキヤ王の所へ行って言った、「われわれは主の宮をことごとく清め、また燔祭の壇とそのすべての器物、および供えのパンの机とそのすべての器物とを清めました。 |
| 29-19 |
Moreover all the vessels, which king Ahaz in his reign did cast away when he trespassed, have we prepared and sanctified; and, behold, they are before the altar of Jehovah. |
またアハズ王がその治世に罪を犯して捨てたすべての器物をも整えて清めました。それらは主の祭壇の前にあります」。 |
| 29-20 |
Then Hezekiah the king arose early, and gathered the princes of the city, and went up to the house of Jehovah. |
そこでヒゼキヤ王は朝早く起きいで、町のつかさたちを集めて、主の宮に上って行き、 |
| 29-21 |
And they brought seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he-goats, for a sin-offering for the kingdom and for the sanctuary and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of Jehovah. |
雄牛七頭、雄羊七頭、小羊七頭、雄やぎ七頭を引いてこさせ、国と聖所とユダのためにこれを罪祭とし、アロンの子孫である祭司たちに命じてこれを主の祭壇の上にささげさせた。 |
| 29-22 |
So they killed the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled it on the altar: and they killed the rams, and sprinkled the blood upon the altar: they killed also the lambs, and sprinkled the blood upon the altar. |
すなわち、雄牛をほふると、祭司たちはその血を受けて祭壇にふりかけ、また雄羊をほふると、その血を祭壇にふりかけ、また小羊をほふると、その血を祭壇にふりかけた。 |
| 29-23 |
And they brought near the he-goats for the sin-offering before the king and the assembly; and they laid their hands upon them: |
そして罪祭の雄やぎを王と会衆の前に引いて来たので、彼らはその上に手を置いた。 |
| 29-24 |
and the priests killed them, and they made a sin-offering with their blood upon the altar, to make atonement for all Israel; for the king commanded that the burnt-offering and the sin-offering should be made for all Israel. |
そして祭司たちはこれをほふり、その血を罪祭として祭壇の上にささげてイスラエル全国のためにあがないをした。これは王がイスラエル全国のために燔祭および罪祭をささげることを命じたためである。 |
| 29-25 |
And he set the Levites in the house of Jehovah with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king’s seer, and Nathan the prophet; for the commandment was of Jehovah by his prophets. |
王はまたレビびとを主の宮に置き、ダビデおよび王の先見者ガドと預言者ナタンの命令に従って、これにシンバル、立琴および琴をとらせた。これは主がその預言者によって命じられたところである。 |
| 29-26 |
And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets. |
こうしてレビびとはダビデの楽器をとり、祭司はラッパをとって立った。 |
| 29-27 |
And Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt-offering upon the altar. And when the burnt-offering began, the song of Jehovah began also, and the trumpets, together with the instruments of David king of Israel. |
そこでヒゼキヤは燔祭を祭壇の上にささげることを命じた。燔祭をささげ始めた時、主の歌をうたい、ラッパを吹き、イスラエルの王ダビデの楽器をならし始めた。 |
| 29-28 |
And all the assembly worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded; all this continued until the burnt-offering was finished. |
そして会衆は皆礼拝し、歌うたう者は歌をうたい、ラッパ手はラッパを吹き鳴らし、燔祭が終るまですべてこのようであったが、 |

And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves and worshipped. |
ささげる事が終ると、王および彼と共にいた者はみな身をかがめて礼拝した。 |
| 29-30 |
Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praises unto Jehovah with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped. |
またヒゼキヤ王およびつかさたちはレビびとに命じて、ダビデと先見者アサフの言葉をもって主をさんびさせた。彼らは喜んでさんびし、頭をさげて礼拝した。 |
| 29-31 |
Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto Jehovah; come near and bring sacrifices and thank-offerings into the house of Jehovah. And the assembly brought in sacrifices and thank-offerings; and as many as were of a willing heart brought burnt-offerings. |
その時、ヒゼキヤは言った、「あなたがたはすでに主に仕えるために身を清めたのであるから、進みよって、主の宮に犠牲と感謝の供え物を携えて来なさい」と。そこで会衆は犠牲と感謝の供え物を携えて来た。また志ある者は皆燔祭を携えて来た。 |
| 29-32 |
And the number of the burnt-offerings which the assembly brought was threescore and ten bullocks, a hundred rams, and two hundred lambs: all these were for a burnt-offering to Jehovah. |
会衆の携えて来た燔祭の数は雄牛七十頭、雄羊百頭、小羊二百頭、これらは皆主に燔祭としてささげるものであった。 |
| 29-33 |
And the consecrated things were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep. |
また奉納物は牛六百頭、小羊三千頭であった。 |
| 29-34 |
But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt-offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the priests had sanctified themselves; for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests. |
ところが祭司が少なくてその燔祭の物の皮を、はぎつくすことができなかったので、その兄弟であるレビびとがこれを助けて、そのわざをなし終え、その間に他の祭司たちは身を清めた。これはレビびとが祭司たちよりも、身を清めることに、きちょうめんであったからである。 |
| 29-35 |
And also the burnt-offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace-offerings, and with the drink-offerings for every burnt-offering. So the service of the house of Jehovah was set in order. |
このほかおびただしい燔祭があり、また、酬恩祭の脂肪および燔祭の灌祭もあった。こうして、主の宮の勤めは回復された。 |
| 29-36 |
And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, because of that which God had prepared for the people: for the thing was done suddenly. |
この事は、にわかになされたけれども、神がこのように民のために備えをされたので、ヒゼキヤおよびすべての民は喜んだ。 |
