Then Solomon began to build the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where Jehovah appeared unto David his father, which he made ready in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite. |
ソロモンはエルサレムのモリアの山に主の宮を建てることを始めた。そこは父ダビデに主が現れられた所、すなわちエブスびとオルナンの打ち場にダビデが備えた所である。 |

And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign. |
ソロモンが宮を建て始めたのは、その治世の四年の二月であった。 |

Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits. |
ソロモンの建てた神の宮の基の寸法は次のとおりである。すなわち昔の尺度によれば長さ六十キュビト、幅二十キュビト、 |

And the porch that was before the house, the length of it, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height a hundred and twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold. |
宮の前の廊は宮の幅に従って長さ二十キュビト高さ百二十キュビトで、その内部は純金でおおった。 |

And the greater house he ceiled with fir-wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and wrought thereon palm-trees and chains. |
またその拝殿はいとすぎの板で張り、精金をもってこれをおおい、その上にしゅろと鎖の形を施した。 |

And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim. |
また宝石をはめ込んで宮を飾った。その金はパルワイムの金であった。 |

He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubim on the walls. |
彼はまた金をもってその宮、すなわち、梁、敷居、壁および戸をおおい、壁の上にケルビムを彫りつけた。 |

And he made the most holy house: the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents. |
彼はまた至聖所を造った。その長さは宮の長さにしたがって二十キュビト、幅も二十キュビトである。彼は精金六百タラントをもってこれをおおった。 |

And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold. |
その釘の金の重さは五十シケルであった。彼はまた階上の室も金でおおった。 |

And in the most holy house he made two cherubim of image work; and they overlaid them with gold. |
彼は至聖所に木を刻んだケルビムの像を二つ造り、これを金でおおった。 |

And the wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub. |
ケルビムの翼の長さは合わせて二十キュビトあった。すなわち一つのケルブの一つの翼は五キュビトで、宮の壁に届き、ほかの翼も五キュビトで、他のケルブの翼に届き、 |

And the wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub. |
他のケルブの一つの翼も五キュビトで、宮の壁に届き、ほかの翼も五キュビトで、先のケルブの翼に接していた。 |

The wings of these cherubim spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house. |
これらのケルビムの翼は広げると二十キュビトあった。かれらは共に足で立ち、その顔は拝殿に向かっていた。 |

And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubim thereon. |
ソロモンはまた青糸、紫糸、緋糸および亜麻糸で垂幕を造り、その上にケルビムの縫い取りを施した。 |

Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits. |
彼は宮の前に柱を二本造った。その高さは三十五キュビト、おのおのの柱の頂に五キュビトの柱頭を造った。 |

And he made chains in the oracle, and put them on the tops of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains. |
彼は首飾のような鎖を造って、柱の頂につけ、ざくろ百を造ってその鎖の上につけた。 |
| 3-17 |
And he set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz. |
彼はこの柱を神殿の前に、一本を南の方に、一本を北の方に立て、南の方のをヤキンと名づけ、北の方のをボアズと名づけた。 |
