Give ear, ye heavens, and I will speak;And let the earth hear the words of my mouth. |

| 32-2 |
My doctrine shall drop as the rain;My speech shall distil as the dew,As the small rain upon the tender grass,And as the showers upon the herb. |
わたしの教は雨のように降りそそぎ、わたしの言葉は露のようにしたたるであろう。若草の上に降る小雨のように、青草の上にくだる夕立ちのように。 |
| 32-3 |
For I will proclaim the name of Jehovah:Ascribe ye greatness unto our God. |
わたしは主の名をのべよう、われわれの神に栄光を帰せよ。 |
| 32-4 |
The Rock, his work is perfect;For all his ways are justice:A God of faithfulness and without iniquity,Just and right is he. |
主は岩であって、そのみわざは全く、その道はみな正しい。主は真実なる神であって、偽りなく、義であって、正である。 |
| 32-5 |
They have dealt corruptly with him, they are not his children, it is their blemish;They are a perverse and crooked generation. |
彼らは主にむかって悪を行い、そのきずのゆえに、もはや主の子らではなく、 |
| 32-6 |
Do ye thus requite Jehovah,O foolish people and unwise?Is not he thy father that hath bought thee?He hath made thee, and established thee. |
愚かな知恵のない民よ、あなたがたはこのようにして主に報いるのか。主はあなたを生み、あなたを造り、あなたを堅く立てられたあなたの父ではないか。 |
| 32-7 |
Remember the days of old,Consider the years of many generations:Ask thy father, and he will show thee;Thine elders, and they will tell thee. |
いにしえの日を覚え、代々の年を思え。あなたの父に問え、彼はあなたに告げるであろう。長老たちに問え、彼らはあなたに語るであろう。 |

When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance,When he separated the children of men,He set the bounds of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel. |
いと高き者は人の子らを分け、諸国民にその嗣業を与えられたとき、イスラエルの子らの数に照して、もろもろの民の境を定められた。 |
| 32-9 |
For Jehovah’s portion is his people;Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. |
主の分はその民であって、ヤコブはその定められた嗣業である。 |

He found him in a desert land,And in the waste howling wilderness;He compassed him about, he cared for him,He kept him as the apple of his eye. |
主はこれを荒野の地で見いだし、獣のほえる荒れ地で会い、これを巡り囲んでいたわり、目のひとみのように守られた。 |
| 32-11 |
As an eagle that stirreth up her nest,That fluttereth over her young,He spread abroad his wings, he took them,He bare them on his pinions. |
わしがその巣のひなを呼び起し、その子の上に舞いかけり、その羽をひろげて彼らをのせ、そのつばさの上にこれを負うように、 |

Jehovah alone did lead him,And there was no foreign god with him. |
主はただひとりで彼を導かれて、ほかの神々はあずからなかった。 |
| 32-13 |
He made him ride on the high places of the earth,And he did eat the increase of the field;And he made him to suck honey out of the rock,And oil out of the flinty rock; |
主は彼に地の高き所を乗り通らせ、田畑の産物を食わせ、岩の中から蜜を吸わせ、堅い岩から油を吸わせ、 |
| 32-14 |
Butter of the herd, and milk of the flock,With fat of lambs,And rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats,With the finest of the wheat;And of the blood of the grape thou drankest wine. |
牛の凝乳、羊の乳、小羊と雄羊の脂肪、バシャンの牛と雄やぎ、小麦の良い物を食わせられた。またあなたはぶどうのしるのあわ立つ酒を飲んだ。 |
| 32-15 |
But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked:Thou art waxed fat, thou art grown thick, thou art become sleek;Then he forsook God who made him,And lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. |
しかるにエシュルンは肥え太って、足でけった。あなたは肥え太って、つややかになり、自分を造った神を捨て、救の岩を侮った。 |
| 32-16 |
They moved him to jealousy with strange gods;With abominations provoked they him to anger. |
彼らはほかの神々に仕えて、主のねたみを起し、憎むべきおこないをもって主の怒りをひき起した。 |
| 32-17 |
They sacrificed unto demons, which were no God,To gods that they knew not,To new gods that came up of late,Which your fathers dreaded not. |
彼らは神でもない悪霊に犠牲をささげた。それは彼らがかつて知らなかった神々、近ごろ出た新しい神々、先祖たちの恐れることもしなかった者である。 |
| 32-18 |
Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful,And hast forgotten God that gave thee birth. |
あなたは自分を生んだ岩を軽んじ、自分を造った神を忘れた。 |
| 32-19 |
And Jehovah saw it, and abhorred them,Because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters. |
主はこれを見、そのむすこ、娘を怒ってそれを捨てられた。 |
| 32-20 |
And he said, I will hide my face from them,I will see what their end shall be:For they are a very perverse generation,Children in whom is no faithfulness. |
そして言われた、『わたしはわたしの顔を彼らに隠そう。わたしは彼らの終りがどうなるかを見よう彼らはそむき、もとるやから、真実のない子らである。 |
| 32-21 |
They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God;They have provoked me to anger with their vanities:And I will move them to jealousy with those that are not a people;I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation |
彼らは神でもない者をもって、わたしにねたみを起させ、偶像をもって、わたしを怒らせた。それゆえ、わたしは民ともいえない者をもって、彼らにねたみを起させ、愚かな民をもって、彼らを怒らせるであろう。 |
| 32-22 |
For a fire is kindled in mine anger,And burneth unto the lowest Sheol,And devoureth the earth with its increase,And setteth on fire the foundations of the mountains.And setteth on fire the foundations of the mountains. |
わたしの怒りによって、火は燃えいで、陰府の深みにまで燃え行き、地とその産物とを焼きつくし、山々の基を燃やすであろう。 |
| 32-23 |
I will heap evils upon them;I will spend mine arrows upon them: |
わたしは彼らの上に災を積みかさね、わたしの矢を彼らにむかって射つくすであろう。 |
| 32-24 |
They shall be wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat And bitter destruction;And the teeth of beasts will I send upon them,With the poison of crawling things of the dust. |
彼らは飢えて、やせ衰え、熱病と悪い疫病によって滅びるであろう。わたしは彼らを獣の歯にかからせ、地に這うものの毒にあたらせるであろう。 |
| 32-25 |
Without shall the sword bereave,And in the chambers terror;It shall destroy both young man and virgin,The suckling with the man of gray hairs. |
外にはつるぎ、内には恐れがあって、若き男も若き女も、乳のみ子も、しらがの人も滅びるであろう。 |
| 32-26 |
I said, I would scatter them afar,I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men; |
わたしはまさに言おうとした、「彼らを遠く散らし、彼らの事を人々が記憶しないようにしよう」。 |
| 32-27 |
Were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy,Lest their adversaries should judge amiss,Lest they should say, Our hand is exalted,And Jehovah hath not done all this. |
しかし、わたしは敵が誇るのを恐れる。あだびとはまちがえて言うであろう、「われわれの手が勝ちをえたのだ。これはみな主がされたことではない」』。 |
| 32-28 |
For they are a nation void of counsel,And there is no understanding in them. |
彼らは思慮の欠けた民、そのうちには知識がない。 |

Oh that they were wise, that they understood this,That they would consider their latter end! |

| 32-30 |
How should one chase a thousand,And two put ten thousand to flight,Except their Rock had sold them,And Jehovah had delivered them up? |
彼らの岩が彼らを売らず、主が彼らをわたされなかったならば、どうして、ひとりで千人を追い、ふたりで万人を敗ることができたであろう。 |
| 32-31 |
For their rock is not as our Rock,Even our enemies themselves being judges. |
彼らの岩はわれらの岩に及ばない。われらの敵もこれを認めている。 |
| 32-32 |
For their vine is of the vine of Sodom,And of the fields of Gomorrah:Their grapes are grapes of gall,Their clusters are bitter: |
彼らのぶどうの木は、ソドムのぶどうの木から出たもの、またゴモラの野から出たもの、そのぶどうは毒ぶどう、そのふさは苦い。 |
| 32-33 |
Their wine is the poison of serpents,And the cruel venom of asps. |
そのぶどう酒はへびの毒のよう、まむしの恐ろしい毒のようである。 |
| 32-34 |
Is not this laid up in store with me,Sealed up among my treasures? |
これはわたしのもとにたくわえられ、わたしの倉に封じ込められているではないか。 |
| 32-35 |
Vengeance is mine, and recompense,At the time when their foot shall slide:For the day of their calamity is at hand,And the things that are to come upon them shall make haste. |
彼らの足がすべるとき、わたしはあだを返し、報いをするであろう。彼らの災の日は近く、彼らの破滅は、すみやかに来るであろう。 |
| 32-36 |
For Jehovah will judge his people,And repent himself for his servants;When he seeth that their power is gone,And there is none remaining, shut up or left at large. |
主はついにその民をさばき、そのしもべらにあわれみを加えられるであろう。これは彼らの力がうせ去り、つながれた者もつながれない者も、もはやいなくなったのを、主が見られるからである。 |
| 32-37 |
And he will say, Where are their gods,The rock in which they took refuge; |
そのとき主は言われるであろう、『彼らの神々はどこにいるか、彼らの頼みとした岩はどこにあるか。 |
| 32-38 |
Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices,And drank the wine of their drink-offering?Let them rise up and help you,Let them be your protection. |
彼らの犠牲のあぶらを食い、灌祭の酒を飲んだ者はどこにいるか。立ちあがってあなたがたを助けさせよ、あなたがたを守らせよ。 |
| 32-39 |
See now that I, even I, am he,And there is no god with me:I kill, and I make alive;I wound, and I heal;And there is none that can deliver out of my hand. |
今見よ、わたしこそは彼である。わたしのほかに神はない。わたしは殺し、また生かし、傷つけ、またいやす。わたしの手から救い出しうるものはない。 |
| 32-40 |
For I lift up my hand to heaven,And say, As I live for ever,And say, As I live for ever, |
わたしは天にむかい手をあげて誓う、「わたしは永遠に生きる。 |
| 32-41 |
If I whet my glittering sword,And my hand take hold on judgment;I will render vengeance to mine adversaries,And will recompense them that hate me. |
わたしがきらめくつるぎをとぎ、手にさばきを握るとき、わたしは敵にあだを返し、わたしを憎む者に報復するであろう。 |
| 32-42 |
I will make mine arrows drunk with blood,And my sword shall devour flesh;With the blood of the slain and the captives,From the head of the leaders of the enemy. |
わたしの矢を血に酔わせ、わたしのつるぎに肉を食わせるであろう。殺された者と捕えられた者の血を飲ませ、敵の長髪の頭の肉を食わせるであろう」』。 |
| 32-43 |
Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people:For he will avenge the blood of his servants,And will render vengeance to his adversaries,And will make expiation for his land, for his people. |
国々の民よ、主の民のために喜び歌え。主はそのしもべの血のために報復し、その敵にあだを返し、その民の地の汚れを清められるからである」。 |
| 32-44 |
And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun. |
モーセとヌンの子ヨシュアは共に行って、この歌の言葉を、ことごとく民に読み聞かせた。 |
| 32-45 |
And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel; |
モーセはこの言葉を、ことごとくイスラエルのすべての人に告げ終って、 |

And he said unto them, Set your heart unto all the words which I testify unto you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, even all the words of this law. |
彼らに言った、「あなたがたはわたしが、きょう、あなたがたに命じるこのすべての言葉を心におさめ、子供たちにもこの律法のすべての言葉を守り行うことを命じなければならない。 |
| 32-47 |
For it is no vain thing for you; because it is your life, and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over the Jordan to possess it. |
この言葉はあなたがたにとって、むなしい言葉ではない。これはあなたがたのいのちである。この言葉により、あなたがたはヨルダンを渡って行って取る地で、長く命を保つことができるであろう」。 |
| 32-48 |
And Jehovah spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying, |
この日、主はモーセに言われた、 |
| 32-49 |
Get thee up into this mountain of Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession; |
「あなたはエリコに対するモアブの地にあるアバリム山すなわちネボ山に登り、わたしがイスラエルの人々に与えて獲させるカナンの地を見渡たせ。 |
| 32-50 |
and die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people: |
あなたは登って行くその山で死に、あなたの民に連なるであろう。あなたの兄弟アロンがホル山で死んでその民に連なったようになるであろう。 |
| 32-51 |
because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel. |
これはあなたがたがチンの荒野にあるメリバテ・カデシの水のほとりで、イスラエルの人々のうちでわたしにそむき、イスラエルの人々のうちでわたしを聖なるものとして敬わなかったからである。 |
| 32-52 |
For thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither into the land which I give the children of Israel. |
それであなたはわたしがイスラエルの人々に与える地を、目の前に見るであろう。しかし、その地に、はいることはできない」。 |
