2-1 Now these are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and that returned unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his city; バビロンの王ネブカデネザルに捕えられて、バビロンに移された者のうち、捕囚をゆるされてエルサレムおよびユダに上って、おのおの自分の町に帰ったこの州の人々は次のとおりである。
2-2 who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel: 彼らはゼルバベル、エシュア、ネヘミヤ、セラヤ、レエラヤ、モルデカイ、ビルシャン、ミスパル、ビグワイ、レホム、バアナと共に帰ってきた。そのイスラエルの民の人数は次のとおりである。
2-3 The children of Parosh, two thousand a hundred seventy and two. パロシの子孫は二千百七十二人、
2-4 The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two. シパテヤの子孫は三百七十二人、
2-5 The children of Arah, seven hundred seventy and five. アラの子孫は七百七十五人、
2-6 The children of Pahath-moab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand eight hundred and twelve. パハテ・モアブの子孫すなわちエシュアとヨアブの子孫は二千八百十二人、
2-7 The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four. エラムの子孫は一千二百五十四人、
2-8 The children of Zattu, nine hundred forty and five. ザットの子孫は九百四十五人、
2-9 The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore. ザッカイの子孫は七百六十人、
2-10 The children of Bani, six hundred forty and two. バニの子孫は六百四十二人、
2-11 The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and three. ベバイの子孫は六百二十三人、
2-12 The children of Azgad, a thousand two hundred twenty and two. アズガデの子孫は一千二百二十二人、
2-13 The children of Adonikam, six hundred sixty and six. アドニカムの子孫は六百六十六人、
2-14 The children of Bigvai, two thousand fifty and six. ビグワイの子孫は二千五十六人、
2-15 The children of Adin, four hundred fifty and four. アデンの子孫は四百五十四人、
2-16 The children of Ater, of Hezekiah, ninety and eight. アテルの子孫すなわちヒゼキヤの子孫は九十八人、
2-17 The children of Bezai, three hundred twenty and three. ベザイの子孫は三百二十三人、
2-18 The children of Jorah, a hundred and twelve. ヨラの子孫は百十二人、
2-19 The children of Hashum, two hundred twenty and three. ハシュムの子孫は二百二十三人、
2-20 The children of Gibbar, ninety and five. ギバルの子孫は九十五人、
2-21 The children of Beth-lehem, a hundred twenty and three. ベツレヘムの子孫は百二十三人、
2-22 The men of Netophah, fifty and six. ネトパの人々は五十六人、
2-23 The men of Anathoth, a hundred twenty and eight. アナトテの人々は百二十八人、
2-24 The children of Azmaveth, forty and two. アズマウテの子孫は四十二人、
2-25 The children of Kiriath-arim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty and three. キリアテ・ヤリム、ケピラおよびベエロテの子孫は七百四十三人、
2-26 The children of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty and one. ラマおよびゲバの子孫は六百二十一人、
2-27 The men of Michmas, a hundred twenty and two. ミクマシの人々は百二十二人、
2-28 The men of Beth-el and Ai, two hundred twenty and three. ベテルおよびアイの人々は二百二十三人、
2-29 The children of Nebo, fifty and two. ネボの子孫は五十二人、
2-30 The children of Magbish, a hundred fifty and six. マグビシの子孫は百五十六人、
2-31 The children of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four. 他のエラムの子孫は一千二百五十四人、
2-32 The children of Harim, three hundred and twenty. ハリムの子孫は三百二十人、
2-33 The children of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty and five. ロド、ハデデおよびオノの子孫は七百二十五人、
2-34 The children of Jericho, three hundred forty and five. エリコの子孫は三百四十五人、
2-35 The children of Senaah, three thousand and six hundred and thirty. セナアの子孫は三千六百三十人。
2-36 The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy and three. 祭司は、エシュアの家のエダヤの子孫九百七十三人、
2-37 The children of Immer, a thousand fifty and two. インメルの子孫一千五十二人、
2-38 The children of Pashhur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven. パシュルの子孫一千二百四十七人、
2-39 The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen. ハリムの子孫一千十七人。
2-40 The Levites: the children of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the children of Hodaviah, seventy and four. レビびとは、ホダヤの子孫すなわちエシュアとカデミエルの子孫七十四人。
2-41 The singers: the children of Asaph, a hundred twenty and eight. 歌うたう者は、アサフの子孫百二十八人。
2-42 The children of the porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, in all a hundred thirty and nine. 門衛の子孫は、シャルムの子孫、アテルの子孫、タルモンの子孫、アックブの子孫、ハテタの子孫、ショバイの子孫合わせて百三十九人。
2-43 The Nethinim: the children of Ziha, the children of Hasupha, the children of Tabbaoth, 宮に仕えるしもべたちは、ヂハの子孫、ハスパの子孫、タバオテの子孫、
2-44 the children of Keros, the children of Siaha, the children of Padon, ケロスの子孫、シアハの子孫、パドンの子孫、
2-45 the children of Lebanah, the children of Hagabah, the children of Akkub, レバナの子孫、ハガバの子孫、アックブの子孫、
2-46 the children of Hagab, the children of Shamlai, the children of Hanan, ハガブの子孫、シャルマイの子孫、ハナンの子孫、
2-47 the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar, the children of Reaiah, ギデルの子孫、ガハルの子孫、レアヤの子孫、
2-48 the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda, the children of Gazzam, レヂンの子孫、ネコダの子孫、ガザムの子孫、
2-49 the children of Uzza, the children of Paseah, the children of Besai, ウザの子孫、パセアの子孫、ベサイの子孫、
2-50 the children of Asnah, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephisim, アスナの子孫、メウニムの子孫、ネフシムの子孫、
2-51 the children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur, バクブクの子孫、ハクパの子孫、ハルホルの子孫、
2-52 the children of Bazluth, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha, バヅリテの子孫、メヒダの子孫、ハルシャの子孫、
2-53 the children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Temah, バルコスの子孫、シセラの子孫、テマの子孫、
2-54 the children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha. ネヂアの子孫、ハテパの子孫である。
2-55 The children of Solomon’s servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Hassophereth, the children of Peruda, ソロモンのしもべたちの子孫は、ソタイの子孫、ハッソペレテの子孫、ペリダの子孫、
2-56 the children of Jaalah, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel, ヤアラの子孫、ダルコンの子孫、ギデルの子孫、
2-57 the children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth-hazzebaim, the children of Ami. シパテヤの子孫、ハッテルの子孫、ポケレテ・ハッゼバイムの子孫、アミの子孫。
2-58 All the Nethinim, and the children of Solomon’s servants, were three hundred ninety and two. 宮に仕えるしもべたちとソロモンのしもべたちの子孫とは合わせて三百九十二人。
2-59 And these were they that went up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer; but they could not show their fathers’ houses, and their seed, whether they were of Israel: 次にあげる人々はテル・メラ、テル・ハレサ、ケルブ、アダンおよびインメルから上って来た者であったが、彼らはその氏族とその血統とを示して、そのイスラエルの者であることを明らかにすることができなかった。
2-60 the children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred fifty and two. すなわちデラヤの子孫、トビヤの子孫、ネコダの子孫で合わせて六百五十二人。
2-61 And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Hakkoz, the children of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name. 祭司の子孫のうちにはハバヤの子孫、ハッコヅの子孫、バルジライの子孫があった。バルジライはギレアデびとバルジライの娘たちのうちから妻をめとったので、その名で呼ばれることになった。
2-62 These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they deemed polluted and put from the priesthood. これらの者は系譜に載った者たちのうちに自分の名を尋ねたが見いだされなかったので、汚れた者として、祭司の職から除かれた。
2-63 And the governor said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim. 総督は彼らに告げて、ウリムとトンミムを身につける祭司の興るまでは、いと聖なる物を食べてはならないと言った。
2-64 The whole assembly together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore, 会衆は合わせて四万二千三百六十人であった。
2-65 besides their men-servants and their maid-servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred singing men and singing women. このほかに、しもべおよびはしため合わせて七千三百三十七人、また歌うたう男女二百人あった。
2-66 Their horses were seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five; その馬は七百三十六頭、その騾馬は二百四十五頭、
2-67 their camels, four hundred thirty and five; their asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty. そのらくだは四百三十五頭、そのろばは六千七百二十頭あった。
2-68 And some of the heads of fathers’ houses, when they came to the house of Jehovah which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for the house of God to set it up in its place: 氏族の長数人はエルサレムにある主の宮の所にきた時、神の宮をもとの所に建てるために真心よりの供え物をささげた。
2-69 they gave after their ability into the treasury of the work threescore and one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand pounds of silver, and one hundred priests’ garments. すなわち、その力に従って工事のために倉に納めたものは、金六万一千ダリク、銀五千ミナ、祭司の衣服百かさねであった。
2-70 So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinim, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities. 祭司、レビびと、および民のある者はエルサレムおよびその近郊に住み、歌うたう者、門衛および宮に仕えるしもべたちはその町々に住み、一般のイスラエルびとは自分たちの町々に住んだ。
