In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation will he appoint for walls and bulwarks. |
その日ユダの国で、この歌をうたう、「われわれは堅固な町をもつ。主は救をその石がきとし、またとりでとされる。 |

Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth faith may enter in. |
門を開いて、信仰を守る正しい国民を入れよ。 |
| 26-3 |
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee. |
あなたは全き平安をもってこころざしの堅固なものを守られる。彼はあなたに信頼しているからである。 |
| 26-4 |
Trust ye in Jehovah for ever; for in Jehovah, even Jehovah, is an everlasting rock. |
とこしえに主に信頼せよ、主なる神はとこしえの岩だからである。 |
| 26-5 |
For he hath brought down them that dwell on high, the lofty city: he layeth it low, he layeth it low even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. |
主は高き所、そびえたつ町に住む者をひきおろし、これを伏させ、これを地に伏させて、ちりにかえされる。 |
| 26-6 |
The foot shall tread it down; even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy. |
こうして足で踏まれ、貧しい者の足で踏まれ、乏しい者はその上を歩む」。 |
| 26-7 |
The way of the just is uprightness: thou that art upright dost direct the path of the just. |
正しい者の道は平らである。あなたは正しい者の道をなめらかにされる。 |
| 26-8 |
Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, have we waited for thee; to thy name, even to thy memorial name, is the desire of our soul. |
主よ、あなたがさばきをなさる道で、われわれはあなたを待ち望む。われわれの魂の慕うものは、あなたの記念の名である。 |
| 26-9 |
With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee earnestly: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. |
わが魂は夜あなたを慕い、わがうちなる霊は、せつにあなたを求める。あなたのさばきが地に行われるとき、世に住む者は正義を学ぶからである。 |
| 26-10 |
Let favor be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal wrongfully, and will not behold the majesty of Jehovah. |
悪しき者は恵まれても、なお正義を学ばず、正しい地にあっても不義を行い、主の威光を仰ぐことをしない。 |
| 26-11 |
Jehovah, thy hand is lifted up, yet they see not: but they shall see thy zeal for the people, and be put to shame; yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries. |
主よ、あなたのみ手が高くあがるけれども、彼らはそれを顧みない。どうか、あなたの、おのが民を救われる熱心を彼らに見させて、大いに恥じさせ、火をもってあなたの敵を焼き滅ぼしてください。 |

Jehovah, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for thou hast also wrought all our works for us. |
主よ、あなたはわれわれのために平和を設けられる。あなたはわれわれのためにわれわれのすべてのわざをなし遂げられた。 |
| 26-13 |
O Jehovah our God, other lords besides thee have had dominion over us; but by thee only will we make mention of thy name. |
われわれの神、主よ、あなた以外のもろもろの主がわれわれを治めた。しかし、われわれはただ、あなたの名のみをあがめる。 |
| 26-14 |
They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all remembrance of them to perish. |
死んだ者はまた生きない。亡霊は生き返らない。それで、あなたは彼らを罰して滅ぼし、彼らの思い出をことごとく消し去られた。 |

Thou hast increased the nation, O Jehovah, thou hast increased the nation; thou art glorified; thou hast enlarged all the borders of the land. |
主よ、あなたはこの国民を増し加えられた。あなたはこの国民を増し加えられた。あなたは栄光をあらわされた。あなたは地の境を四方に広げられた。 |
| 26-16 |
Jehovah, in trouble have they visited thee; they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them. |
主よ、彼らは悩みのとき、あなたに求めた。彼らがあなたの懲しめにあったとき、祈をささげた。 |
| 26-17 |
Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain and crieth out in her pangs; so we have been before thee, O Jehovah. |
主よ、はらめる女の産むときが近づいて苦しみ、その痛みによって叫ぶように、われわれはあなたのゆえに、そのようであった。 |
| 26-18 |
We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. |
われわれは、はらみ、苦しんだ。しかしわれわれの産んだものは風にすぎなかった。われわれは救を地に施すこともせず、また世に住む者を滅ぼすこともしなかった。 |
| 26-19 |
Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust; for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead. |
あなたの死者は生き、彼らのなきがらは起きる。ちりに伏す者よ、さめて喜びうたえ。あなたの露は光の露であって、それを亡霊の国の上に降らされるからである。 |
| 26-20 |
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. |
さあ、わが民よ、あなたのへやにはいり、あなたのうしろの戸を閉じて、憤りの過ぎ去るまで、しばらく隠れよ。 |
| 26-21 |
For, behold, Jehovah cometh forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. |
見よ、主はそのおられる所を出て、地に住む者の不義を罰せられる。地はその上に流された血をあらわして、殺された者を、もはやおおうことがない。 |
