Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. |
「このエドムから来る者、深紅の衣を着て、ボズラから来る者はだれか。その装いは、はなやかに、大いなる力をもって進み来る者はだれか」。「義をもって語り、救を施す力あるわたしがそれだ」。 |

Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winevat? |
「何ゆえあなたの装いは赤く、あなたの衣は酒ぶねを踏む者のように赤いのか」。 |

I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no man with me: yea, I trod them in mine anger, and trampled them in my wrath; and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment. |
「わたしはひとりで酒ぶねを踏んだ。もろもろの民のなかに、わたしと事を共にする者はなかった。わたしは怒りによって彼らを踏み、憤りによって彼らを踏みにじったので、彼らの血がわが衣にふりかかり、わが装いをことごとく汚した。 |

For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. |
報復の日がわが心のうちにあり、わがあがないの年が来たからである。 |
| 63-5 |
And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my wrath, it upheld me. |
わたしは見たけれども、助ける者はなく、怪しんだけれども、ささえる者はなかった。それゆえ、わがかいながわたしを勝たせ、わが憤りがわたしをささえた。 |

And I trod down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth. |
わたしは怒りによって、もろもろの民を踏みにじり、憤りによって彼らを酔わせ、彼らの血を、地に流れさせた」。 |

I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah, and the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. |
わたしは主がわれわれになされたすべてのことによって、主のいつくしみと、主の誉とを語り告げ、また、そのあわれみにより、その多くのいつくしみによって、イスラエルの家に施されたその大いなる恵みを語り告げよう。 |

For he said, Surely, they are my people, children that will not deal falsely: so he was their Saviour. |
主は言われた、「まことに彼らはわが民、偽りのない子らである」と。そして主は彼らの救主となられた。 |

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. |
彼らのすべての悩みのとき、主も悩まれて、そのみ前の使をもって彼らを救い、その愛とあわれみとによって彼らをあがない、いにしえの日、つねに彼らをもたげ、彼らを携えられた。 |

But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them. |
ところが彼らはそむいてその聖なる霊を憂えさせたので、主はひるがえって彼らの敵となり、みずから彼らと戦われた。みずから彼らと戦われた。 |

Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit in the midst of them? |
その時、民はいにしえのモーセの日を思い出して言った、「その群れの牧者を、海から携えあげた者はどこにいるか。彼らの中に聖なる霊をおいた者はどこにいるか。 |

that caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses? that divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name? |
栄光のかいなをモーセの右に行かせ、彼らの前に水を二つに分けて、みずから、とこしえの名をつくり、 |
| 63-13 |
that led them through the depths, as a horse in the wilderness, so that they stumbled not? |
彼らを導いて、馬が野を走るように、つまずくことなく淵を通らせた者はどこにいるか。 |
| 63-14 |
As the cattle that go down into the valley, the Spirit of Jehovah caused them to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name. |
谷にくだる家畜のように、主の霊は彼らをいこわせられた。このように、あなたはおのれの民を導いてみずから栄光の名をつくられた」。 |
| 63-15 |
Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where are thy zeal and thy mighty acts? the yearning of thy heart and thy compassions are restrained toward me. |
どうか、天から見おろし、その聖なる栄光あるすみかからごらんください。あなたの熱心と、大能とはどこにありますか。あなたのせつなる同情とあわれみとはおさえられて、わたしにあらわれません。 |

For thou art our Father, though Abraham knoweth us not, and Israel doth not acknowledge us: thou, O Jehovah, art our Father; our Redeemer from everlasting is thy name. |
たといアブラハムがわれわれを知らず、イスラエルがわれわれを認めなくても、あなたはわれわれの父です。主よ、あなたはわれわれの父、いにしえからあなたの名はわれわれのあながい主です。 |
| 63-17 |
O Jehovah, why dost thou make us to err from thy ways, and hardenest our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance. |
主よ、なぜ、われわれをあなたの道から離れ迷わせ、われわれの心をかたくなにして、あなたを恐れないようにされるのですか。どうぞ、あなたのしもべらのために、あなたの嗣業である部族らのために、お帰りください。 |
| 63-18 |
Thy holy people possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary. |
あなたの聖なる民が、あなたの聖所を獲て間もないのに、われわれのあだは、それを踏みにじりました。 |
| 63-19 |
We are become as they over whom thou never barest rule, as they that were not called by thy name. |
われわれはあなたによって、いにしえから治められない者のようになり、あなたの名をもって、となえられない者のようになりました。 |
