| 65-1 |
I am inquired of by them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. |
わたしはわたしを求めなかった者に問われることを喜び、わたしを尋ねなかった者に見いだされることを喜んだ。わたしはわが名を呼ばなかった国民に言った、「わたしはここにいる、わたしはここにいる」と。 |

I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, that walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts; |
よからぬ道に歩み、自分の思いに従うそむける民に、わたしはひねもす手を伸べて招いた。 |
| 65-3 |
a people that provoke me to my face continually, sacrificing in gardens, and burning incense upon bricks; |
この民はまのあたり常にわたしを怒らせ、園の中で犠牲をささげ、かわらの上で香をたき、 |
| 65-4 |
that sit among the graves, and lodge in the secret places; that eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels; |
墓場にすわり、ひそかな所にやどり、豚の肉を食らい、憎むべき物の、あつものをその器に盛って、 |
| 65-5 |
that say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me, for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day. |
言う、「あなたはそこに立って、わたしに近づいてはならない。わたしはあなたと区別されたものだから」と。これらはわが鼻の煙、ひねもす燃える火である。 |

Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, yea, I will recompense into their bosom, |
見よ、この事はわが前にしるされた、「わたしは黙っていないで報い返す。そうだ、わたしは彼らのふところに、 |
| 65-7 |
your own iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith Jehovah, that have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I first measure their work into their bosom. |
彼らの不義と、彼らの先祖たちの不義とを共に報い返す。彼らが山の上で香をたき、丘の上でわたしをそしったゆえ、わたしは彼らのさきのわざを量って、そのふところに返す」と主は言われる。 |

Thus saith Jehovah, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not, for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all. |
主はこう言われる、「人がぶどうのふさの中に、ぶどうのしるのあるのを見るならば、『それを破るな、その中に祝福があるから』と言う。そのようにわたしは、わがしもべらのために行って、ことごとくは滅ぼさない。 |

And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains; and my chosen shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there. |
わたしはヤコブから子孫をいだし、ユダからわが山々を受けつぐべき者をいだす。わたしが選んだ者はこれを受けつぎ、わがしもべらはそこに住む。わがしもべらはそこに住む。 |
| 65-10 |
And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me. |
シャロンは羊の群れの牧場となり、アコルの谷は牛の群れの伏す所となって、わたしを尋ね求めたわが民のものとなる。 |
| 65-11 |
But ye that forsake Jehovah, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for Fortune, and that fill up mingled wine unto Destiny; |
しかし主を捨て、わが聖なる山を忘れ、机を禍福の神に供え、混ぜ合わせた酒を盛って運命の神にささげるあなたがたよ、 |
| 65-12 |
I will destine you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter; because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but ye did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delighted not. |
わたしは、あなたがたをつるぎに渡すことに定めた。あなたがたは皆かがんでほふられる。あなたがたはわたしが呼んだときに答えず、わたしが語ったときに聞かず、わたしの目に悪い事をおこない、わたしの好まなかった事を選んだからだ」。 |

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be put to shame; |
それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、「見よ、わがしもべたちは食べる、しかし、あなたがたは飢える。見よ、わがしもべたちは飲む、しかし、あなたがたはかわく。見よ、わがしもべたちは喜ぶ、しかし、あなたがたは恥じる。 |
| 65-14 |
14 behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit. |
見よ、わがしもべたちは心の楽しみによって歌う、しかし、あなたがたは心の苦しみによって叫び、たましいの悩みによって泣き叫ぶ。 |
| 65-15 |
And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen; and the Lord Jehovah will slay thee; and he will call his servants by another name: |
あなたがたの残す名はわが選んだ者には、のろいの文句となり、主なる神はあなたがたを殺される。しかし、おのれのしもべたちを、ほかの名をもって呼ばれる。 |
| 65-16 |
so that he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes. |
それゆえ、地にあっておのれのために祝福を求める者は、真実の神によっておのれの祝福を求め、地にあって誓う者は、真実の神をさして誓う。さきの悩みは忘れられて、とわが目から隠れうせるからである。 |
| 65-17 |
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. |
見よ、わたしは新しい天と、新しい地とを創造する。さきの事はおぼえられることなく、心に思い起すことはない。 |
| 65-18 |
But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create; for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. |
しかし、あなたがたはわたしの創造するものにより、とこしえに楽しみ、喜びを得よ。見よ、わたしはエルサレムを造って喜びとし、その民を楽しみとする。 |
| 65-19 |
And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people; and there shall be heard in her no more the voice of weeping and the voice of crying. |
わたしはエルサレムを喜び、わが民を楽しむ。泣く声と叫ぶ声は再びその中に聞えることはない。 |
| 65-20 |
There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days; for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed. |
わずか数日で死ぬみどりごと、おのが命の日を満たさない老人とは、もはやその中にいない。百歳で死ぬ者も、なお若い者とせられ、百歳で死ぬ者は、のろわれた罪びととされる。 |
| 65-21 |
And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. |
彼らは家を建てて、それに住み、ぶどう畑を作って、その実を食べる。 |
| 65-22 |
They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree shall be the days of my people, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands. |
彼らが建てる所に、ほかの人は住まず、彼らが植えるものは、ほかの人が食べない。わが民の命は、木の命のようになり、わが選んだ者は、その手のわざをながく楽しむからである。 |
| 65-23 |
They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for calamity; for they are the seed of the blessed of Jehovah, and their offspring with them. |
彼らの勤労はむだでなく、その生むところの子らは災にかからない。彼らは主に祝福された者のすえであって、その子らも彼らと共におるからである。 |
| 65-24 |
And it shall come to pass that, before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. |
彼らが呼ばないさきに、わたしは答え、彼らがなお語っているときに、わたしは聞く。 |
| 65-25 |
The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith Jehovah. |
おおかみと小羊とは共に食らい、ししは牛のようにわらを食らい、へびはちりを食物とする。彼らはわが聖なる山のどこでもそこなうことなく、やぶることはない」と主は言われる。 |
