| 15-1 |
Then said Jehovah unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth. |
主はわたしに言われた、「たといモーセとサムエルとがわたしの前に立っても、わたしの心はこの民を顧みない。彼らをわたしの前から追い出し、ここを去らせよ。 |

And it shall come to pass, when they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith Jehovah: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity. |
もし彼らが、『われわれはどこに行けばよいのか』とあなたに尋ねるならば、彼らに言いなさい、『主はこう仰せられる、疫病に定められた者は疫病に、つるぎに定められた者はつるぎに、ききんに定められた者はききんに、とりこに定められた者はとりこに行く』。 |
| 15-3 |
And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith Jehovah: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the birds of the heavens, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and to destroy. |
主は仰せられる、わたしは四つの物をもって彼らを罰する。すなわち、つるぎをもって殺し、犬をもってかませ、空の鳥と地の獣をもって食い滅ぼさせる。 |
| 15-4 |
And I will cause them to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem. |
またユダの王ヒゼキヤの子マナセが、エルサレムでした行いのゆえに、わたしは彼らを地のすべての国が見て恐れおののくものとする。 |
| 15-5 |
For who will have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who will bemoan thee? or who will turn aside to ask of thy welfare? |
エルサレムよ、だれがあなたをあわれむであろうか。だれがあなたのために嘆くであろうか。だれがふり返って、あなたの安否を問うであろうか。 |
| 15-6 |
Thou hast rejected me, saith Jehovah, thou art gone backward: therefore have I stretched out my hand against thee, and destroyed thee; I am weary with repenting. |
主は言われる、あなたはわたしを捨てた。そしてますます退いて行く。それゆえ、わたしは手を伸べてあなたを滅ぼした。わたしはあわれむことには飽きた。 |
| 15-7 |
And I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land; I have bereaved them of children, I have destroyed my people; they returned not from their ways. |
わたしはこの地の門で、箕で彼らをあおぎ分けた。彼らがその道を離れなかったので、わたしは彼らの子を奪い、わが民を滅ぼした。 |

Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas; I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday: I have caused anguish and terrors to fall upon her suddenly. |
わたしは彼らの寡婦の数を浜べの砂よりも多くした。わたしは真昼に、滅ぼす者を連れてきて、若者らの母たちをせめ、驚きと恐れを、にわかに母たちにおこした。 |

She that hath borne seven languisheth; she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day; she hath been put to shame and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith Jehovah. |
七人の子を産んだ女は、弱り衰えて、息絶え、まだ昼であったが、彼女の日は没した。彼女は恥じ、うろたえた。その残りの者は、これを敵のつるぎに渡すと主は言われる」。 |
| 15-10 |
Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet every one of them doth curse me. |
ああ、わたしはわざわいだ。わが母よ、あなたは、なぜ、わたしを産んだのか。全国の人はわたしと争い、わたしを攻める。わたしは人に貸したこともなく、人に借りたこともないのに、皆わたしをのろう。 |
| 15-11 |
Jehovah said, Verily I will strengthen thee for good; verily I will cause the enemy to make supplication unto thee in the time of evil and in the time of affliction. |
主よ、もしわたしが彼らの幸福をあなたに祈り求めず、また敵のため、その悩みのときと、災のときに、わたしがあなたにとりなしをしなかったのであれば、彼らののろいも、やむをえないでしょう。 |

Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and brass? |
は鉄を、北からくる鉄や青銅を砕くことができましょうか。 |
| 15-13 |
Thy substance and thy treasures will I give for a spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders. |
「わたしはあなたの富と宝を、ぶんどり物として他に与える。代価を受けることはできない。それはあなたのすべての罪によるので、領域内のいたる所にこのことが起る。 |
| 15-14 |
And I will make them to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not; for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you. |
わたしはあなたの知らない地で、あなたの敵に仕えさせる。わたしの怒りによって火は点じられ、いつまでも燃え続けるからである」。 |
| 15-15 |
O Jehovah, thou knowest; remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered reproach. |
主よ、あなたは知っておられます。わたしを覚え、わたしを顧みてください。わたしを迫害する者に、あだを返し、あなたの寛容によって、わたしを取り去らないでください。わたしがあなたのために、はずかしめを受けるのを知ってください。 |
| 15-16 |
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy words were unto me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O Jehovah, God of hosts. |
わたしはみ言葉を与えられて、それを食べました。み言葉は、わたしに喜びとなり、心の楽しみとなりました。万軍の神、主よ、わたしは、あなたの名をもってとなえられている者です。 |
| 15-17 |
I sat not in the assembly of them that make merry, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand; for thou hast filled me with indignation. |
わたしは笑いさざめく人のつどいにすわることなく、また喜ぶことをせず、ただひとりですわっていました。あなたの手がわたしの上にあり、あなたが憤りをもってわたしを満たされたからです。 |
| 15-18 |
Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou indeed be unto me as a deceitful brook, as waters that fail? |
どうしてわたしの痛みは止まらず、傷は重くて、なおらないのですか。あなたはわたしにとって、水がなくて人を欺く谷川のようになられるのですか。 |
| 15-19 |
Therefore thus saith Jehovah, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, that thou mayest stand before me; and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: they shall return unto thee, but thou shalt not return unto them. |
それゆえ主はこう仰せられる、「もしあなたが帰ってくるならば、「もしあなたが帰ってくるならば、もとのようにして、わたしの前に立たせよう。もしあなたが、つまらないことを言うのをやめて、貴重なことを言うならば、わたしの口のようになる。彼らはあなたの所に帰ってくる。しかしあなたが彼らの所に帰るのではない。 |
| 15-20 |
And I will make thee unto this people a fortified brazen wall; and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith Jehovah. |
わたしはあなたをこの民の前に、堅固な青銅の城壁にする。彼らがあなたを攻めても、あなたに勝つことはできない。わたしがあなたと共にいて、あなたを助け、あなたを救うからであると、主は言われる。 |
| 15-21 |
And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible. |
わたしはあなたを悪人の手から救い、無慈悲な人の手からあがなう」。 |
