| 31-1 |
At that time, saith Jehovah, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people. |
「主は言われる、その時わたしはイスラエルの全部族の神となり、彼らはわたしの民となる」。 |
| 31-2 |
Thus saith Jehovah, The people that were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest. |
主はこう言われる、「つるぎをのがれて生き残った民は、荒野で恵みを得た。イスラエルが安息を求めた時、 |
| 31-3 |
Jehovah appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. |
主は遠くから彼に現れた。わたしは限りなき愛をもってあなたを愛している。それゆえ、わたしは絶えずあなたに真実をつくしてきた。 |
| 31-4 |
Again will I build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: again shalt thou be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry. |
イスラエルのおとめよ、再びわたしはあなたを建てる、あなたは建てられる。あなたは再び鼓をもって身を飾り、出て行って、喜び楽しむ者と共に踊る。 |
| 31-5 |
Again shalt thou plant vineyards upon the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall enjoy the fruit thereof. |
またあなたはぶどうの木をサマリヤの山に植える。植える者は、植えてその実を食べることができる。 |
| 31-6 |
For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the hills of Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto Jehovah our God. |
見守る者がエフライムの山の上に立って呼ばわる日が来る。『立って、シオンに上り、われわれの神、主に、もうでよう』と」。 |
| 31-7 |
For thus saith Jehovah, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O Jehovah, save thy people, the remnant of Israel. |
主はこう仰せられる、「ヤコブのために喜んで声高く歌い、万国のかしらのために叫び声をあげよ。告げ示し、ほめたたえて言え、『主はその民イスラエルの残りの者を救われた』と。 |
| 31-8 |
Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall they return hither. |
見よ、わたしは彼らを北の国から連れ帰り、彼らを地の果から集める。彼らのうちには、盲人やあしなえ、妊婦、産婦も共にいる。彼らは大きな群れとなって、ここに帰ってくる。 |
| 31-9 |
They shall come with weeping; and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way wherein they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first-born. |
彼らは泣き悲しんで帰ってくる。わたしは慰めながら彼らを導き帰る。彼らがつまずかないように、まっすぐな道により、水の流れのそばを通らせる。それは、わたしがイスラエルの父であり、エフライムはわたしの長子だからである。 |
| 31-10 |
Hear the word of Jehovah, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off; and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock. |
万国の民よ、あなたがたは主の言葉を聞き、これを遠い、海沿いの地に示して言いなさい、『イスラエルを散らした者がこれを集められる。牧者がその群れを守るようにこれを守られる』と。 |
| 31-11 |
For Jehovah hath ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he. |
すなわち主はヤコブをあがない、彼らよりも強い者の手から彼を救いだされた。 |
| 31-12 |
And they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow unto the goodness of Jehovah, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all. |
彼らは来てシオンの山で声高く彼らは重ねて憂えることがない。歌い、主から賜わった良い物のために、穀物と酒と油および若き羊と牛のために、喜びに輝く。その魂は潤う園のようになり、 |
| 31-13 |
Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. |
その時おとめたちは舞って楽しみ、若い者も老いた者も共に楽しむ。わたしは彼らの悲しみを喜びにかえ、彼らを慰め、憂いの代りに喜びを与える。 |
| 31-14 |
And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith Jehovah. |
わたしは多くのささげ物で、祭司の心を飽かせ、わたしの良き物で、わたしの民を満ち足らせると主は言われる」。 |
| 31-15 |
Thus saith Jehovah: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children; she refuseth to be comforted for her children, because they are not. |
主はこう仰せられる、「嘆き悲しみ、いたく泣く声がラマで聞える。ラケルがその子らのために嘆くのである。子らがもはやいないので、彼女はその子らのことで慰められるのを願わない」。 |
| 31-16 |
Thus saith Jehovah: Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears; for thy work shall be rewarded, saith Jehovah; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. |
主はこう仰せられる、「あなたは泣く声をとどめ、目から涙をながすことをやめよ。あなたのわざに報いがある。彼らは敵の地から帰ってくると主は言われる。 |
| 31-17 |
And there is hope for thy latter end, saith Jehovah; and thy children shall come again to their own border. |
あなたの将来には希望があり、あなたの子供たちは自分の国に帰ってくると主は言われる。 |
| 31-18 |
I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus, Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a calf unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art Jehovah my God. |
わたしは確かに、エフライムがこう言って嘆くの聞いた、『あなたはわたしを懲しめられた、わたしはくびきに慣れない子牛のように懲しめをうけた。主よ、あなたはわたしの神、主でいらせられる、わたしを連れ帰って、もとにかえしてください。 |
| 31-19 |
Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth. |
わたしはそむき去った後、悔い、教をうけた後、ももを打った。若い時のはずかしめが身にあるので、わたしは恥じ、うろたえた』。 |
| 31-20 |
Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearneth for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith Jehovah. |
主は言われる、エフライムはわたしの愛する子、わたしの喜ぶ子であろうか。わたしは彼について語るごとに、なお彼を忘れることができない。それゆえ、わたしの心は彼をしたっている。わたしは必ず彼をあわれむ。 |
| 31-21 |
Set thee up waymarks, make thee guide-posts; set thy heart toward the highway, even the way by which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities. |
みずからのために道しるべを置き、みずからのために標柱を立てよ。大路に、あなたの通って行った道に心を留めよ。イスラエルのおとめよ、帰れ、これらの、あなたの町々に帰れ。 |
| 31-22 |
How long wilt thou go hither and thither, O thou backsliding daughter? for Jehovah hath created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall encompass a man. |
不信の娘よ、いつまでさまようのか。主は地の上に新しい事を創造されたのだ、女が男を保護する事である」。 |
| 31-23 |
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity: Jehovah bless thee, O habitation of righteousness, O mountain of holiness. |
万軍の主、イスラエルの神はこう言われる、「わたしが彼らを再び栄えさせる時、人々はまたユダの地とその町々でこの言葉を言う、『正義のすみかよ、聖なる山よ、どうか主がおまえを祝福してくださるように』。 |
| 31-24 |
And Judah and all the cities thereof shall dwell therein together, the husbandmen, and they that go about with flocks. |
ユダとそのすべての町の人、および農夫と群れを飼って歩き回る者は共にそこに住む。 |
| 31-25 |
For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished. |
わたしが疲れた魂を飽き足らせ、すべて悩んでいる魂を慰めるからである」。 |
| 31-26 |
Upon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me. |
ここでわたしは目をさましたが、わたしの眠りは、ここちよかった。 |
| 31-27 |
Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast. |
「主は言われる、見よ、わたしが人の種と獣の種とをイスラエルの家とユダの家とにまく日が来る。 |
| 31-28 |
And it shall come to pass that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, saith Jehovah. |
わたしは彼らを抜き、砕き、倒し、滅ぼし、悩まそうと待ちかまえていたように、また彼らを建て、植えようと待ちかまえていると主は言われる。 |
| 31-29 |
In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge. |
その時、彼らはもはや、『父がすっぱいぶどうを食べたので、子どもの歯がうく』とは言わない。 |
| 31-30 |
But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge. |
人はめいめい自分の罪によって死ぬ。すっぱいぶどうを食べる人はみな、その歯がうく。 |
| 31-31 |
Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: |
主は言われる、見よ、わたしがイスラエルの家とユダの家とに新しい契約を立てる日が来る。 |
| 31-32 |
not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith Jehovah. |
この契約はわたしが彼らの先祖をその手をとってエジプトの地から導き出した日に立てたようなものではない。わたしは彼らの夫であったのだが、彼らはそのわたしの契約を破ったと主は言われる。 |
| 31-33 |
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people: |
しかし、それらの日の後にわたしがイスラエルの家に立てる契約はこれである。すなわちわたしは、わたしの律法を彼らのうちに置き、その心にしるす。わたしは彼らの神となり、彼らはわたしの民となると主は言われる。 |
| 31-34 |
and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more. |
人はもはや、おのおのその隣とその兄弟に教えて、『あなたは主を知りなさい』とは言わない。それは、彼らが小より大に至るまで皆、わたしを知るようになるからであると主は言われる。わたしは彼らの不義をゆるし、もはやその罪を思わない」。 |
| 31-35 |
Thus saith Jehovah, who giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar; Jehovah of hosts is his name: |
主はこう言われる、すなわち太陽を与えて昼の光とし、月と星とを定めて夜の光とし、海をかき立てて、その波を鳴りとどろかせる者――その名は万軍の主という。 |
| 31-36 |
If these ordinances depart from before me, saith Jehovah, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. |
主は言われる、「もしこの定めがわたしの前ですたれてしまうなら、イスラエルの子孫もすたって、永久にわたしの前で民であることはできない」。 |
| 31-37 |
Thus saith Jehovah: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith Jehovah. |
主はこう言われる、「もし上の天を量ることができ、下の地の基を探ることができるなら、そのとき、わたしはイスラエルのすべての子孫をそのもろもろの行いのために捨て去ると主は言われる」。 |
| 31-38 |
Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that the city shall be built to Jehovah from the tower of Hananel unto the gate of the corner. |
主は言われる、「見よ、この町が、ハナネルの塔から隅の門まで、主のために再建される時が来る。 |
| 31-39 |
And the measuring line shall go out further straight onward unto the hill Gareb, and shall turn about unto Goah. |
測りなわはそれよりも遠くまっすぐに延びて、ガレブの丘に達し、ゴアのほうに向かう。 |
| 31-40 |
And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto Jehovah; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever. |
死体と灰との谷の全部、またキデロンの谷に行くまでと、東のほうの馬の門のすみに行くまでとのすべての畑はみな主の聖なる所となり、永遠にわたって、ふたたび抜かれ、また倒されることはない」。 |
