12-1 Now these are the kings of the land, whom the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land beyond the Jordan toward the sunrising, from the valley of the Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the Arabah eastward: さてヨルダンの向こう側、日の出の方で、アルノンの谷からヘルモン山まで、および東アラバの全土のうちで、イスラエルの人々が撃ち滅ぼして地を取った国の王たちは、次のとおりである。
12-2 Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, the border of the children of Ammon; まず、アモリびとの王シホン。彼はヘシボンに住み、その領地は、アルノンの谷のほとりにあるアロエル、および谷の中の町から、ギレアデの半ばを占めて、アンモンびととの境であるヤボク川に達し、
12-3 and the Arabah unto the sea of Chinneroth, eastward, and unto the sea of the Arabah, even the Salt Sea, eastward, the way to Beth-jeshimoth; and on the south, under the slopes of Pisgah: 東の方ではアラバをキンネレテの湖まで占め、またアラバの海すなわち塩の海の東におよび、ベテエシモテの道を経て、南はピスガの山のふもとに達した。
12-4 and the border of Og king of Bashan, of the remnant of the Rephaim, who dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei, 次にレパイムの生き残りのひとりであったバシャンの王オグ。彼はアシタロテとエデレイとに住み、
12-5 and ruled in mount Hermon, and in Salecah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon. ヘルモン山、サレカ、およびバシャンの全土を領したので、ゲシュルびと、およびマアカびとと境を接し、またギレアデの半ばを領したので、ヘシボンの王シホンと境を接していた。
12-6 Moses the servant of Jehovah and the children of Israel smote them: and Moses the servant of Jehovah gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh. 主のしもべモーセと、イスラエルの人々とが、彼らを撃ち滅ぼし、そして主のしもべモーセは、これらの地を、ルベンびと、ガドびと、およびマナセの半部族に与えて所有とさせた。
12-7 And these are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the children of Israel smote beyond the Jordan westward, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon even unto mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions; ヨルダンのこちら側、西の方にあって、レバノンの谷にあるバアルガデから、セイルへ上って行く道のハラク山までの間で、ヨシュアと、イスラエルの人々とが、撃ち滅ぼした国の王たちは、次のとおりである。ヨシュアは彼らの地をイスラエルの部族に、それぞれの分を与えて嗣業とさせた。
12-8 in the hill-country, and in the lowland, and in the Arabah, and in the slopes, and in the wilderness, and in the South; the Hittite, the Amorite, and the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: これは、山地、平地、アラバ、山腹、荒野、およびネゲブであって、ヘテびと、アモリびと、カナンびと、ペリジびと、ヒビびと、エブスびとの所領であった。
12-9 the king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one; エリコの王ひとり。ベテルのほとりのアイの王ひとり。
12-10 the king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one; エルサレムの王ひとり。ヘブロンの王ひとり。
12-11 the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one; ヤルムテの王ひとり。ラキシの王ひとり。
12-12 the king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one; エグロンの王ひとり。ゲゼルの王ひとり。
12-13 the king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one; デビルの王ひとり。ゲデルの王ひとり。

12-15 the king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one; リブナの王ひとり。アドラムの王ひとり。
12-16 the king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one; マッケダの王ひとり。ベテルの王ひとり。
12-17 the king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one; タップアの王ひとり。ヘペルの王ひとり。
12-18 the king of Aphek, one; the king of Lassharon, one; アペクの王ひとり。シャロンの王ひとり。
12-19 the king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one; マドンの王ひとり。ハゾルの王ひとり。
12-20 the king of Shimron-meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one; シムロン・メロンの王ひとり。アクサフの王ひとり。
12-21 the king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one; タアナクの王ひとり。メギドの王ひとり。
12-22 the king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam in Carmel, one; ケデシの王ひとり。カルメルのヨクネアムの王ひとり。
12-23 the king of Dor in the height of Dor, one; the king of Goiim in Gilgal, one; ドルの高地におるドルの王ひとり。ガリラヤのゴイイムの王ひとり。
12-24 the king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one. テルザの王ひとり。合わせて三十一王である。
