13-1 Now Joshua was old and well stricken in years; and Jehovah said unto him, Thou art old and well stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed. さてヨシュアは年が進んで老いたが、主は彼に言われた、「あなたは年が進んで老いたが、取るべき地は、なお多く残っている。
13-2 This is the land that yet remaineth: all the regions of the Philistines, and all the Geshurites; その残っている地は、次のとおりである。ペリシテびとの全地域、ゲシュルびとの全土、
13-3 from the Shihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the border of Ekron northward, which is reckoned to the Canaanites; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avvim, エジプトの東のシホルから北にのびて、カナンびとに属するといわれるエクロンの境までの地、ペリシテびとの五人の君たちの地、すなわち、ガザ、アシドド、アシケロン、ガテ、およびエクロン。
13-4 on the south; all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongeth to the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the border of the Amorites; 南のアビびとの地、カナンびとの全地、シドンびとに属するメアラからアモリびとの境にあるアペクまでの部分。
13-5 and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baal-gad under mount Hermon unto the entrance of Hamath; またヘルモン山のふもとのバアルガデからハマテの入口に至るゲバルびとの地、およびレバノンの東の全土。
13-6 all the inhabitants of the hill-country from Lebanon unto Misrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians; them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only allot thou it unto Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee. レバノンからミスレポテ・マイムまでの山地のすべての民、すなわちシドンびとの全土。わたしはみずから彼らをイスラエルの人々の前から追い払うであろう。わたしが命じたように、あなたはその地をイスラエルに分け与えて、嗣業とさせなければならない。
13-7 Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half-tribe of Manasseh. すなわち、その地を九つの部族と、マナセの半部族とに分け与えて、嗣業とさせなければならない」。
13-8 With him the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of Jehovah gave them: マナセの他の半部族と共に、ルベンびとと、ガドびととは、ヨルダンの向こう側、東の方で、その嗣業をモーセから受けた。主のしもべモーセが、彼らに与えたのは、
13-9 from Aroer, that is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon; アルノンの谷のほとりにあるアロエル、および谷の中にある町から、デボンとメデバの間にある高原のすべての地。
13-10 and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon; ヘシボンで世を治めた、アモリびとの王シホンのすべての町々を含めて、アンモンの人々の境までの地。
13-11 and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salecah; ギレアデと、ゲシュルびと、ならびにマアカびとの領地、ヘルモン山の全土、サルカまでのバシャン全体。
13-12 all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei (the same was left of the remnant of the Rephaim); for these did Moses smite, and drove them out. アシタロテとエデレイで世を治めたバシャンの王オグの全国。オグはレパイムの生き残りであった。モーセはこれらを撃って、追い払った。
13-13 Nevertheless the children of Israel drove not out the Geshurites, nor the Maacathites: but Geshur and Maacath dwell in the midst of Israel unto this day. ただし、イスラエルの人々は、ゲシュルびとと、マアカびとを追い払わなかった。ゲシュルびとと、マアカびとは、今日までイスラエルのうちに住んでいる。
13-14 Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance; the offerings of Jehovah, the God of Israel, made by fire are his inheritance, as he spake unto him. ただレビの部族には、ヨシュアはなんの嗣業をも与えなかった。イスラエルの神、主の火祭が彼らの嗣業であるからである。主がヨシュアに言われたとおりである。
13-15 And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families. モーセはルベンびとの部族に、その家族にしたがって嗣業を与えたが、
13-16 And their border was from Aroer, that is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain by Medeba; その領域はアルノンの谷のほとりにあるアロエル、および谷の中にある町からメデバのほとりのすべての高原、
13-17 Heshbon, and all its cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon, ヘシボンおよびその高原のすべての町々、デボン、バモテ・バアル、ベテ・バアル・メオン、
13-18 and Jahaz, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath, ヤハヅ、ケデモテ、メパアテ、
13-19 and Kiriathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar in the mount of the valley, キリアタイム、シブマ、谷の中の山にあるゼレテ・シャハル、
13-20 and Beth-peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth, ベテペオル、ピスガの山腹、ベテエシモテ、
13-21 and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the chiefs of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the princes of Sihon, that dwelt in the land. すなわち高原のすべての町々と、ヘシボンで世を治めたアモリびとの王シホンの全国に及んだ。モーセはシホンを、ミデアンのつかさたちエビ、レケム、ツル、ホルおよびレバと共に撃ち殺した。これらはみなシホンの諸侯であって、その地に住んでいた者である。
13-22 Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among the rest of their slain. イスラエルの人々はまたベオルの子、占い師バラムをもつるぎにかけて、そのほかに殺した者どもと共に殺した。
13-23 And the border of the children of Reuben was the Jordan, and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, the cities and the villages thereof. ルベンびとの領域はヨルダンを境とした。これはルベンびとが、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業であって、その町々と村々とを含む。
13-24 And Moses gave unto the tribe of Gad, unto the children of Gad, according to their families. モーセはまたガドの部族、ガドの子孫にも、その家族にしたがって、嗣業を与えたが、
13-25 And their border was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah; その領域はヤゼル、ギレアデのすべての町々、アンモンびとの地の半ばで、ラバの東のアロエルまでの地。
13-26 and from Heshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir; ヘシボンからラマテ・ミゾパまでの地、およびベトニム、マハナイムからデビルの境までの地。
13-27 and in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and the border thereof, unto the uttermost part of the sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan eastward. 谷の中ではベテハラム、ベテニムラ、スコテ、およびザポンなど、ヘシボンの王シホンの国の残りの部分。ヨルダンを境として、ヨルダンの東側、キンネレテの湖の南の端までの地。
13-28 This is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and the villages thereof. これはガドびとが、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業であって、その町々と村々とを含む。
13-29 And Moses gave inheritance unto the half-tribe of Manasseh: and it was for the half-tribe of the children of Manasseh according to their families. モーセはまたマナセの半部族にも、嗣業を与えたが、それはマナセの半部族が、その家族にしたがって与えられたものである。
13-30 And their border was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities: その領域はマハナイムからバシャンの全土に及び、バシャンの王オグの全国、バシャンにあるヤイルのすべての町々、すなわちその六十の町。
13-31 and half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even for the half of the children of Machir according to their families. またギレアデの半ば、バシャンのオグの国の町であるアシタロテとエデレイ。これらはマナセの子マキルの子孫に与えられた。すなわちマキルの子孫の半ばが、その家族にしたがって、それを獲た。
13-32 These are the inheritances which Moses distributed in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan at Jericho, eastward. これらはヨルダンの向こう側、エリコの東のモアブの平野で、モーセが分け与えた嗣業である。
13-33 But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave no inheritance: Jehovah, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as he spake unto them. ただし、レビの部族には、モーセはなんの嗣業をも与えなかった。イスラエルの神、主がその嗣業だからである。主がモーセに言われたとおりである。
