15-1 And the lot for the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families was unto the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, at the uttermost part of the south. ユダの人々の部族が、その家族にしたがって、くじで獲た地は、南の方では、エドムの境に達し、南のはてにあるチンの荒野に及んでいた。
15-2 And their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looketh southward; その南の境は、塩の海の南の端の、入海から起り、
15-3 and it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh-barnea, and passed along by Hezron, and went up to Addar, and turned about to Karka; アクラビムの坂の南に出てチンに進み、カデシ・バルネアの南から上って、ヘヅロンに進み、アダルに上っていって、カルカに回り、
15-4 and it passed along to Azmon, and went out at the brook of Egypt; and the goings out of the border were at the sea: this shall be your south border. アヅモンに進んで、エジプトの川に達し、その境は海に至って尽きる。これが彼らの南の境である。
15-5 And the east border was the Salt Sea, even unto the end of the Jordan. And the border of the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan; 東の境は塩の海であって、ヨルダンの川口に達する。北の方の境は、ヨルダンの川口の、入海から起り、
15-6 and the border went up to Beth-hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben; 上ってベテホグラに行き、ベテアラバの北を過ぎ、上ってルベンびとボハンの石に達し、
15-7 and the border went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the river; and the border passed along to the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel; またアコルの谷からデビルに上って、北におもむき、川の南にあるアドミムの坂に対するギルガルに向かって進み、エンシメシの水に達し、エンロゲルに至って尽きる。
15-8 and the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the side of the Jebusite southward (the same is Jerusalem); and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the uttermost part of the vale of Rephaim northward; またその境はベンヒンノムの谷に沿って、エブスびとの地、すなわちエルサレムの南のわきに上り、ヒンノムの谷の西にある山の頂に上る。これはレパイムの谷の北の果にあるものである。
15-9 and the border extended from the top of the mountain unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border extended to Baalah (the same is Kiriath-jearim); その境は、この山の頂からネフトアの水の源に至り、その所からエフロン山の町々に及び、その境は曲ってバアラに達する。これは、すなわちキリアテ・ヤリムである。
15-10 and the border turned about from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim on the north (the same is Chesalon), and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed along by Timnah; その境は、バアラから西に回って、セイル山に及び、ヤリム山、すなわちケサロンの北のわきを経て、ベテシメシに下り、テムナに進み、
15-11 and the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward; and the border extended to Shikkeron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea. エクロンの北の丘のわきに出て、シッケロンに曲り、バアラ山に進み、ヤブネルに達し、海に至って尽きる。
15-12 And the west border was to the great sea, and the border thereof . This is the border of the children of Judah round about according to their families. また西の境は大海であって、海岸を境とした。これがユダの人々の、その家族にしたがって獲た地の四方の境である。
15-13 And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of Jehovah to Joshua, even Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak (the same is Hebron). ヨシュアは、主に命じられたように、エフンネの子カレブに、ユダの人々のうちで、キリアテ・アルバ、すなわちヘブロンを与えて、その分とさせた。アルバはアナクの父であった。
15-14 And Caleb drove out thence the three sons of Anak: Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak. カレブはその所から、アナクの子三人を追い払った。すなわち、セシャイ、アヒマン、およびタルマイであって、アナクから出たものである。
15-15 And he went up thence against the inhabitants of Debir: now the name of Debir beforetime was Kiriath-sepher. そして彼はこの所からデビルに住む民の所に攻め上った。デビルの名は、もとはキリアテ・セペルといった。
15-16 And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife. カレブは言った、「キリアテ・セペルを撃って、これを取る者には、わたしの娘アクサを妻として与えるであろう」。
15-17 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife. ケナズの子で、カレブの弟オテニエルがそれを取ったので、カレブは娘アクサを、妻として彼に与えた。
15-18 And it came to pass, when she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she alighted from off her ass; and Caleb said, What wouldest thou? 彼女がとつぐ時、畑を父に求めるようにと、オテニエルに勧められた。そして彼女が、ろばから降りたので、カレブは彼女に、何を望むのかとたずねた。
15-19 And she said, Give me a blessing; for that thou hast set me in the land of the South, give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs and the nether springs. 彼女は答えて言った、「わたしに贈り物をください。あなたはネゲブの地に、わたしをやられるのですから、泉をもください」。カレブは彼女に上の泉と下の泉とを与えた。
15-20 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families. ユダの人々の部族が、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業は、次のとおりである。
15-21 And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the border of Edom in the South were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur, ユダの人々の部族が、南でエドムの境の方にもっていた遠くの町々は、カブジエル、エデル、ヤグル、
15-22 and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah, キナ、デモナ、アダダ、
15-23 and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan, ケデシ、ハゾル、イテナン、
15-24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth, ジフ、テレム、ベアロテ、
15-25 and Hazor-hadattah, and Kerioth-hezron (the same is Hazor), ハゾル・ハダッタ、ケリオテ・ヘヅロンすなわちハゾル、
15-26 Amam, and Shema, and Moladah, アマム、シマ、モラダ、
15-27 and Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet, 7ハザルガダ、ヘシモン、ベテペレテ、
15-28 and Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah, ハザル・シュアル、ベエルシバ、ビジョテヤ、
15-29 Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem, バアラ、イイム、エゼム、
15-30 and Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah, エルトラデ、ケシル、ホルマ、
15-31 and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah, チクラグ、マデマンナ、サンサンナ、
15-32 and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages. レバオテ、シルヒム、アイン、リンモン。これらの町は合わせて二十九、ならびにそれに属する村々。
15-33 In the lowland, Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah, 平地では、エシタオル、ゾラ、アシナ、
15-34 and Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam, ザノア、エンガンニム、タップア、エナム、
15-35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah, ヤルムテ、アドラム、ソコ、アゼカ、
15-36 and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages. シャアライム、アデタイム、ゲデラ、ゲデロタイム。すなわち十四の町々と、それに属する村々。
15-37 Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad, ゼナン、ハダシャ、ミグダルガデ、
15-38 and Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel, デラン、ミヅパ、ヨクテル、
15-39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon, ラキシ、ボヅカテ、エグロン、
15-40 and Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Chitlish, カボン、ラマム、キテリシ、
15-41 and Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages. ゲデロテ、ベテダゴン、ナアマ、マッケダ。すなわち十六の町々と、それに属する村々。
15-42 Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan, またリブナ、エテル、アシャン、
15-43 and Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib, イフタ、アシナ、ネジブ、
15-44 and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages. ケイラ、アクジブ、マレシャ。すなわち九つの町々と、それに属する村々。
15-45 Ekron, with its towns and its villages; エクロンと、その町々、および村々。
15-46 from Ekron even unto the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages. エクロンから海まで、すべてアシドドのほとりにある町々、およびそれに属する村々。
15-47 Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; unto the brook of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof . アシドドとその町々および村々。ガザとその町々および村々。エジプトの川と大海の海岸までが、その境であった。
15-48 And in the hill-country, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh, 山地では、シャミル、ヤッテル、ソコ、
15-49 and Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah (the same is Debir), ダンナ、キリアテ・サンナすなわちデビル、
15-50 and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim, アナブ、エシテモ、アニム、
15-51 and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages. ゴセン、ホロン、ギロ。すなわち十一の町々と、それに属する村々。
15-52 Arab, and Dumah, and Eshan, アラブ、ドマ、エシャン、
15-53 and Janim, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah, ヤニム、ベテタップア、アペカ、
15-54 and Humtah, and Kiriath-arba (the same is Hebron), and Zior; nine cities with their villages. ホムタ、キリアテ・アルバすなわちヘブロン、ヂオル。すなわち九つの町々と、それに属する村々。
15-55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Jutah, マオン、カルメル、ジフ、ユッタ、
15-56 and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah, エズレル、ヨクデアム、ザノア、
15-57 Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages. カイン、ギベア、テムナ。すなわち十の町々と、それに属する村々。
15-58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor, ハルホル、ベテズル、ゲドル、
15-59 and Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages. マアラテ、ベテアノテ、エルテコン。すなわち六つの町々と、それに属する村々。
15-60 Kiriath-baal (the same is Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah; two cities with their villages. キリアテ・バアルすなわちキリアテ・ヤリム、ラバ。これらの二つの町とそれに属する村々。
15-61 In the wilderness, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah, 荒野では、ベテアラバ、ミデン、セカカ、
15-62 and Nibshan, and the City of Salt, and En-gedi; six cities with their villages. ニブシャン、塩の町、エンゲデ。すなわち六つの町々と、それに属する村々。
15-63 And as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day. しかし、ユダの人々は、エルサレムの住民エブスびとを追い払うことができなかった。それでエブスびとは今日まで、ユダの人々と共にエルサレムに住んでいる。
