15-1 In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign. イスラエルの王ヤラベアムの第二十七年に、ユダの王アマジヤの子アザリヤが王となった。
15-2 Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem. 彼が王となった時は十六歳で、五十二年の間エルサレムで世を治めた。その母はエルサレムの出身で、名をエコリアといった。
15-3 And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that his father Amaziah had done. 彼は主の目にかなう事を行い、すべての事を父アマジヤが行ったようにおこなった。
15-4 Howbeit the high places were not taken away: the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places. ただし高き所は除かなかったので、民はなおその高き所で犠牲をささげ、香をたいた。
15-5 And Jehovah smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a separate house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the household, judging the people of the land. 主が王を撃たれたので、その死ぬ日まで、らい病人となって、離れ家に住んだ。王の子ヨタムが家の事を管理し、国の民をさばいた。
15-6 Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? アザリヤのその他の事績と、彼がしたすべての事は、ユダの王の歴代志の書にしるされているではないか。
15-7 And Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead. アザリヤはその先祖たちと共に眠ったので、彼をダビデの町にその先祖たちと共に葬った。その子ヨタムが代って王となった。
15-8 In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months. ユダの王アザリヤの第三十八年にヤラベアムの子ゼカリヤがサマリヤでイスラエルの王となり、六か月世を治めた。
15-9 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherewith he made Israel to sin. 彼はその先祖たちがおこなったように主の目の前に悪を行い、イスラエルに罪を犯させたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を離れなかった。
15-10 And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead. ヤベシの子シャルムが徒党を結んで彼に敵し、イブレアムで彼を撃ち殺し、彼に代って王となった。
15-11 Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. ゼカリヤのその他の事績は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。
15-12 This was the word of Jehovah which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons to the fourth generation shall sit upon the throne of Israel. And so it came to pass. 主はかつてエヒウに、「あなたの子孫は四代までイスラエルの位に座するであろう」と告げられたが、はたしてそのとおりになった。
15-13 Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned the space of a month in Samaria. ヤベシの子シャルムはユダの王ウジヤの第三十九年に王となり、サマリヤで一か月世を治めた。
15-14 And Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead. 時にガデの子メナヘムがテルザからサマリヤに上ってきて、ヤベシの子シャルムをサマリヤで撃ち殺し、彼に代って王となった。
15-15 Now the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. シャルムのその他の事績と、彼が徒党を結んだ事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。
15-16 Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the borders thereof, from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up. その時メナヘムはテルザから進んでいって、タップアと、そのうちにいるすべての者、およびその領域を撃った。すなわち彼らが彼のために開かなかったので、これを撃って、そのうちの妊娠の女をことごとく引き裂いた。
15-17 In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria. ユダの王アザリヤの第三十九年に、ガデの子メナヘムはイスラエルの王となり、サマリヤで十年の間、世を治めた。
15-18 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherewith he made Israel to sin. 彼は主の目の前に悪を行い、イスラエルに罪を犯させたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を一生の間、離れなかった。
15-19 There came against the land Pul the king of Assyria; and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand. 時にアッスリヤの王プルが国に攻めてきたので、メナヘムは銀一千タラントをプルに与えた。これは彼がプルの助けを得て、国を自分の手のうちに強くするためであった。
15-20 And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land. すなわちメナヘムはその銀をイスラエルのすべての富める者に課し、その人々におのおの銀五十シケルを出させてアッスリヤの王に与えた。こうしてアッスリヤの王は国にとどまらないで帰っていった。
15-21 Now the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? メナヘムのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされているではないか。
15-22 And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead. メナヘムは先祖たちと共に眠り、その子ペカヒヤが代って王となった。
15-23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years. メナヘムの子ペカヒヤはユダの王アザリヤの第五十年に、サマリヤでイスラエルの王となり、二年の間、世を治めた。
15-24 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherewith he made Israel to sin. 彼は主の目の前に悪を行い、イスラエルに罪を犯せたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を離れなかった。
15-25 And Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the castle of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites: and he slew him, and reigned in his stead. 時に彼の副官であったレマリヤのペカが、ギレアデびと五十人と共に徒党を結んで彼に敵し、サマリヤの、王の宮殿の天守で彼を撃ち殺した。すなわちペカは彼を殺し、彼に代って王となった。
15-26 Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. ペカヒヤのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。
15-27 In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years. レマリヤの子ペカはユダの王アザリヤの第五十二年に、サマリヤでイスラエルの王となり、二十年の間、世を治めた。
15-28 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherewith he made Israel to sin. 彼は主の目の前に悪をおこない、イスラエルに罪を犯させたネバテの子ヤラベアムの罪を離れなかった。
15-29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maacah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria. イスラエルの王ペカの世に、アッスリヤの王テグラテピレセルが来て、イヨン、アベル・ベテマアカ、ヤノア、ケデシ、ハゾル、ギレアデ、ガリラヤ、ナフタリの全地を取り、人々をアッスリヤへ捕え移した。
15-30 And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah. 時にエラの子ホセアは徒党を結んで、レマリヤの子ペカに敵し、彼を撃ち殺し、彼に代って王となった。これはウジヤの子ヨタムの第二十年であった。
15-31 Now the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. ペカのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、イスラエルの王の歴代志の書にしるされている。
15-32 In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign. レマリヤの子イスラエルの王ペカの第二年に、ユダの王ウジヤの子ヨタムが王となった。
15-33 Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok. 彼は王となった時二十五歳であったが、エルサレムで十六年の間、世を治めた。母はザドクの娘で、名をエルシャといった。
15-34 And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah; he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done. 彼は主の目にかなう事を行い、すべて父ウジヤの行ったようにおこなった。
15-35 Howbeit the high places were not taken away: the people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places. He built the upper gate of the house of Jehovah. ただし高き所は除かなかったので、民はなおその高き所で犠牲をささげ、香をたいた。彼は主の宮の上の門を建てた。
15-36 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? ヨタムのその他の事績と彼がしたすべての事は、ユダの王の歴代志の書にしるされているではないか。
15-37 In those days Jehovah began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah. そのころ、主はスリヤの王レヂンとレマリヤの子ペカをユダに攻めこさせられた。
15-38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead. ヨタムは先祖たちと共に眠って、その先祖ダビデの町に先祖たちと共に葬られ、その子アハズが代って王となった。
