| 21-1 |
And Jehovah said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none defile himself for the dead among his people; |
主はまたモーセに言われた、「アロンの子なる祭司たちに告げて言いなさい、『民のうちの死人のために、身を汚す者があってはならない。 |
| 21-2 |
except for his kin, that is near unto him, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother, |
ただし、近親の者、すなわち、父、母、むすこ、娘、兄弟のため、 |
| 21-3 |
and for his sister a virgin, that is near unto him, that hath had no husband; for her may he defile himself. |
また彼の近親で、まだ夫のない処女なる姉妹のためには、その身を汚してもよい。 |
| 21-4 |
He shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself. |
しかし、夫にとついだ姉妹のためには、身を汚してはならない。 |
| 21-5 |
They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh. |
彼らは頭の頂をそってはならない。ひげの両端をそり落してはならない。また身に傷をつけてはならない。 |
| 21-6 |
They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God; for the offerings of Jehovah made by fire, the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy. |
彼らは神に対して聖でなければならない。また神の名を汚してはならない。彼らは主の火祭、すなわち、神の食物をささげる者であるから、聖でなければならない。 |
| 21-7 |
They shall not take a woman that is a harlot, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God. |
彼らは遊女や汚れた女をめとってはならない。また夫に出された女をめとってはならない。祭司は神に対して聖なる者だからである。 |
| 21-8 |
Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I Jehovah, who sanctify you, am holy. |
あなたは彼を聖としなければならない。彼はあなたの神の食物をささげる者だからである。彼はあなたにとって聖なる者でなければならない。あなたがたを聖とする主、すなわち、わたしは聖なる者だからである。 |
| 21-9 |
And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the harlot, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire. |
祭司の娘である者が、淫行をなして、その身を汚すならば、その父を汚すのであるから、彼女を火で焼かなければならない。 |
| 21-10 |
And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head go loose, nor rend his clothes; |
その兄弟のうち、頭に注ぎ油を注がれ、職に任ぜられて、その衣服をつけ、大祭司となった者は、その髪の毛を乱してはならない。またその衣服を裂いてはならない。 |
| 21-11 |
neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother; |
死人のところに、はいってはならない。また父のためにも母のためにも身を汚してはならない。 |
| 21-12 |
neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am Jehovah. |
また聖所から出てはならない。神の聖所を汚してはならない。その神の注ぎ油による聖別が、彼の上にあるからである。わたしは主である。 |
| 21-13 |
And he shall take a wife in her virginity. |
彼は処女を妻にめとらなければならない。 |
| 21-14 |
A widow, or one divorced, or a profane woman, a harlot, these shall he not take: but a virgin of his own people shall he take to wife. |
寡婦、出された女、汚れた女、遊女などをめとってはならない。ただ、自分の民のうちの処女を、妻にめとらなければならない。 |
| 21-15 |
And he shall not profane his seed among his people: for I am Jehovah who sanctifieth him. |
そうすれば、彼は民のうちに、自分の子孫を汚すことはない。わたしは彼を聖別する主だからである』」。 |
| 21-16 |
And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, |
主はまたモーセに言われた、 |
| 21-17 |
Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed throughout their generations that hath a blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. |
「アロンに告げて言いなさい、『あなたの代々の子孫で、だれでも身にきずのある者は近寄って、神の食物をささげてはならない。 |
| 21-18 |
For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or anything superfluous, |
すべて、その身にきずのある者は近寄ってはならない。すなわち、目しい、足なえ、鼻のかけた者、手足の不つりあいの者、 |
| 21-19 |
or a man that is broken-footed, or broken-handed, |
足の折れた者、手の折れた者、 |
| 21-20 |
or crook-backed, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or is scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; |
せむし、こびと、目にきずのある者、かいせんの者、かさぶたのある者、こうがんのつぶれた者などである。 |
| 21-21 |
no man of the seed of Aaron the priest, that hath a blemish, shall come nigh to offer the offerings of Jehovah made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. |
すべて祭司アロンの子孫のうち、身にきずのある者は近寄って、主の火祭をささげてはならない。彼は身にきずがあるから、神の食物をささげるために、近寄ってはならない。 |
| 21-22 |
He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy: |
彼は神の食物の聖なる物も、最も聖なる物も食べることができる。 |
| 21-23 |
only he shall not go in unto the veil, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I am Jehovah who sanctifieth them. |
ただし、垂幕に近づいてはならない。また祭壇に近寄ってはならない。身にきずがあるからである。彼はわたしの聖所を汚してはならない。わたしはそれを聖別する主である』」。 |
| 21-24 |
So Moses spake unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel. |
モーセはこれをアロンとその子ら及びイスラエルのすべての人々に告げた。 |
