And it came to pass after the plague, that Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying, |

Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers’ houses, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel. |
「イスラエルの人々の全会衆の総数をその父祖の家にしたがって調べ、イスラエルにおいて、すべて戦争に出ることのできる二十歳以上の者を数えなさい」。

And Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying, |
そこでモーセと祭司エレアザルとは、エリコに近いヨルダンのほとりにあるモアブの平野で彼らに言った、 |

Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as Jehovah commanded Moses and the children of Israel, that came forth out of the land of Egypt. |
「主がモーセに命じられたように、あなたがたのうちの二十歳以上の者を数えなさい」。エジプトの地から出てきたイスラエルの人々は次のとおりである。 |

of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites. |
ヘヅロンからヘヅロンびとの氏族が出、カルミからカルミびとの氏族が出た。 |

These are the families of the Reubenites; and they that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty. |
これらはルベンびとの氏族であって、数えられた者は四万三千七百三十人であった。 |
| 26-8 |
And the sons of Pallu: Eliab. |
またパルの子はエリアブ。 |
| 26-9 |
And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. These are that Dathan and Abiram, who were called of the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against Jehovah, |

and the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died; what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men, and they became a sign. |

Notwithstanding, the sons of Korah died not. |

These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty and two thousand and two hundred. |

The sons of Gad after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Haggi, the family of the Haggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites; |

これらはガドの子孫の氏族であって、数えられた者は四万五百人であった。 |

The sons of Judah: Er and Onan; and Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. |
ユダの子らはエルとオナンとであって、エルとオナンとはカナンの地で死んだ。 |

And the sons of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Perezites; of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites. |
ユダの子孫は、その氏族によれば、シラからシラびとの氏族が出、ペレヅからペレヅびとの氏族が出、ゼラからゼラびとの氏族が出た。 |

And the sons of Perez were: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites. |

These are the families of Judah according to those that were numbered of them, threescore and sixteen thousand and five hundred. |

The sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Puvah, the family of the Punites; |
イッサカルの子孫は、その氏族によれば、トラからトラびとの氏族が出、プワからプワびとの氏族が出、 |

of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites. |

The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir begat Gilead; of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites. |

and of Asriel, the family of the Asrielites; and of Shechem, the family of the Shechemites; |
アスリエルからアスリエルびとの氏族が出、シケムからシケムびとの氏族が出、 |
| 26-32 |
and of Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; and of Hepher, the family of the Hepherites. |
セミダからセミダびとの氏族が出、ヘペルからヘペルびとの氏族が出た。 |
| 26-33 |
And Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. |
ヘペルの子ゼロペハデには男の子がなく、ただ女の子のみで、ゼロペハデの女の子の名はマアラ、ノア、ホグラ、ミルカ、テルザといった。 |

These are the families of Manasseh; and they that were numbered of them were fifty and two thousand and seven hundred. |

These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthelahites; of Becher, the family of the Becherites; of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites. |
エフライムの子孫は、その氏族によれば、次のとおりである。シュテラからはシュテラびとの氏族が出、ベケルからベケルびとの氏族が出、タハンからタハンびとの氏族が出た。 |

These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph after their families. |
26:37これらはエフライムの子孫の氏族であって、数えられた者は三万二千五百人であった。以上はヨセフの子孫で、その氏族によるものである。 |

And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; of Naaman, the family of the Naamites. |
ベラの子はアルデとナアマンとであって、アルデからアルデびとの氏族が出、ナアマンからナアマンびとの氏族が出た。 |
| 26-41 |
These are the sons of Benjamin after their families; and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and six hundred. |
これらはベニヤミンの子孫であって、その氏族によれば数えられた者は四万五千六百人であった。 |

These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan after their families. |

All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those that were numbered of them, were threescore and four thousand and four hundred. |

The sons of Asher after their families: of Imnah, the family of the Imnites; of Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites; of Beriah, the family of the Berites. |
アセルの子孫は、その氏族によれば、エムナからエムナびとの氏族が出、エスイからエスイびとの氏族が出、ベリアからベリアびとの氏族が出た。 |

Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites; of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites. |
ベリアの子孫のうちヘベルからヘベルびとの氏族が出、マルキエルからマルキエルびとの氏族が出た。 |
| 26-46 |
And the name of the daughter of Asher was Serah. |
アセルの娘の名はサラといった。 |
| 26-47 |
These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them, fifty and three thousand and four hundred. |
これらはアセルの子孫の氏族であって、数えられた者は五万三千四百人であった。 |

The sons of Naphtali after their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites; |
ナフタリの子孫は、その氏族によれば、ヤジエルからヤジエルびとの氏族が出、グニからグニびとの氏族が出、 |
| 26-49 |
of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites. |

These are the families of Naphtali according to their families; and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred. |

These are they that were numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty. |
これらはイスラエルの子孫の数えられた者であって、六十万一千百三十人であった。 |
| 26-52 |
And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, |

| 26-53 |
Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names. |
「これらの人々に、その名の数にしたがって地を分け与え、嗣業とさせなさい。 |
| 26-54 |
To the more thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to the fewer thou shalt give the less inheritance: to every one according to those that were numbered of him shall his inheritance be given. |
大きい部族には多くの嗣業を与え、小さい部族には少しの嗣業を与えなさい。すなわち数えられた数にしたがって、おのおのの部族にその嗣業を与えなければならない。 |
| 26-55 |
Notwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit. |
ただし地は、くじをもって分け、その父祖の部族の名にしたがって、それを継がなければならない。 |
| 26-56 |
According to the lot shall their inheritance be divided between the more and the fewer. |
すなわち、くじをもってその嗣業を大きいものと、小さいものとに分けなければならない」。 |
| 26-57 |
And these are they that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites. |
レビびとのその氏族にしたがって数えられた者は次のとおりである。ゲルションからゲルションびとの氏族が出、コハテからコハテびとの氏族が出、メラリからメラリびとの氏族が出た。 |

These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korahites. And Kohath begat Amram. |
レビの氏族は次のとおりである。すなわちリブニびとの氏族、ヘブロンびとの氏族、マヘリびとの氏族、ムシびとの氏族、コラびとの氏族であって、コハテからアムラムが生れた。 |

And the name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister. |
アムラムの妻の名はヨケベデといって、レビの娘である。彼女はエジプトでレビに生れた者であるが、アムラムにとついで、アロンとモーセおよびその姉妹ミリアムを産んだ。 |
| 26-60 |
And unto Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. |
アロンにはナダブ、アビウ、エレアザルおよびイタマルが生れた。 |
| 26-61 |
And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before Jehovah. |
ナダブとアビウは異火を主の前にささげた時に死んだ。 |
| 26-62 |
And they that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, every male from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel. |
その数えられた一か月以上のすべての男子は二万三千人であった。彼らはイスラエルの人々のうちに嗣業を与えられなかったため、イスラエルの人々のうちに数えられなかった者である。 |

These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho. |

But among these there was not a man of them that were numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai. |
ただしそのうちには、モーセと祭司アロンがシナイの荒野でイスラエルの人々を数えた時に数えられた者はひとりもなかった。 |
| 26-65 |
For Jehovah had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. |
それは主がかつて彼らについて「彼らは必ず荒野で死ぬであろう」と言われたからである。それで彼らのうちエフンネの子カレブとヌンの子ヨシュアのほか、ひとりも残った者はなかった。 |
