| 34-1 |
And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, |
主はモーセに言われた、 |
| 34-2 |
Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to the borders thereof), |
「イスラエルの人々に命じて言いなさい。あなたがたがカナンの地にはいるとき、あなたがたの嗣業となるべき地はカナンの地で、その全域は次のとおりである。 |

then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the side of Edom, and your south border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea eastward; |
南の方はエドムに接するチンの荒野に始まり、南の境は、東は塩の海の端に始まる。 |
| 34-4 |
and your border shall turn about southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and
pass along to Zin; and the goings out thereof shall be southward of Kadesh-barnea;
and it shall go forth to Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon; |
その境はアクラビムの坂の南を巡ってチンに向かい、カデシ・バルネアの南に至り、ハザル・アダルに進み、アズモンに及ぶ。 |

and the border shall turn about from Azmon unto the brook of Egypt, and the goings out thereof shall be at the sea. |
その境はまたアズモンから転じてエジプトの川に至り、海に及んで尽きる。 |
| 34-6 |
And for the western border, ye shall have the great sea and the border thereof: this shall be your west border. |
西の境はおおうみとその沿岸で、これがあなたがたの西の境である。 |
| 34-7 |
And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall mark out for you mount Hor; |
あなたがたの北の境は次のとおりである。すなわちおおうみからホル山まで線を引き、 |
| 34-8 |
from mount Hor ye shall mark out unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings out of the border shall be at Zedad; |
ホル山からハマテの入口まで線を引き、その境をゼダデに至らせ、 |
| 34-9 |
and the border shall go forth to Ziphron, and the goings out thereof shall be at Hazar-enan: this shall be your north border. |
またその境はジフロンに進み、ハザル・エノンに至って尽きる。これがあなたがたの北の境である。 |
| 34-10 |
And ye shall mark out your east border from Hazar-enan to Shepham; |
あなたがたの東の境は、ハザル・エノンからシパムまで線を引き、 |
| 34-11 |
and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward; |
またその境はアインの東の方で、シパムからリブラに下り、またその境は下ってキンネレテの海の東の斜面に至り、 |
| 34-12 |
and the border shall go down to the Jordan, and the goings out thereof shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to the borders thereof round about. |
またその境はヨルダンに下り、塩の海に至って尽きる。あなたがたの国の周囲の境は以上のとおりである」。 |
| 34-13 |
And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which Jehovah hath commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe; |
モーセはイスラエルの人々に命じて言った、「これはあなたがたが、くじによって継ぐべき地である。主はこれを九つの部族と半部族とに与えよと命じられた。 |

for the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their fathers’ houses, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to their fathers’ houses, have received, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance: |
それはルベンの子孫の部族とガドの子孫の部族とが共に父祖の家にしたがって、すでにその嗣業を受け、またマナセの半部族もその嗣業を受けていたからである。

the two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising. |
この二つの部族と半部族とはエリコに近いヨルダンのかなた、すなわち東の方、日の出る方で、その嗣業を受けた」。 |
| 34-16 |
And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, |
主はまたモーセに言われた、 |
| 34-17 |
These are the names of the men that shall divide the land unto you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun. |
「あなたがたに、嗣業として地を分け与える人々の名は次のとおりである。すなわち祭司エレアザルと、ヌンの子ヨシュアとである。 |
| 34-18 |
And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance. |
あなたがたはまた、おのおの部族から、つかさひとりずつを選んで、地を分け与えさせなければならない。 |
| 34-19 |
And these are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. |
その人々の名は次のとおりである。すなわちユダの部族ではエフンネの子カレブ、 |
| 34-20 |
And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud. |
シメオンの子孫の部族ではアミホデの子サムエル、 |
| 34-21 |
Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon. |
ベニヤミンの部族ではキスロンの子エリダデ、 |
| 34-22 |
And of the tribe of the children of Dan a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli. |
ダンの子孫の部族ではヨグリの子つかさブッキ、 |
| 34-23 |
Of the children of Joseph: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod. |
ヨセフの子孫、すなわちマナセの部族ではエポデの子つかさハニエル、 |
| 34-24 |
Of the children of Joseph: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod. |
エフライムの子孫の部族ではシフタンの子つかさケムエル、 |
| 34-25 |
And of the tribe of the children of Ephraim a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan. |
ゼブルンの子孫の部族ではパルナクの子つかさエリザパン、 |
| 34-26 |
And of the tribe of the children of Zebulun a prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnach. |
イッサカルの子孫の部族ではアザンの子つかさパルテエル、 |
| 34-27 |
And of the tribe of the children of Issachar a prince, Paltiel the son of Azzan. |
アセルの子孫の部族ではシロミの子つかさアヒウデ、 |
| 34-28 |
And of the tribe of the children of Asher a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi. |
ナフタリの子孫の部族では、アミホデの子つかさパダヘル。 |
| 34-29 |
These are they whom Jehovah commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan. |
カナンの地でイスラエルの人々に嗣業を分け与えることを主が命じられた人々は以上のとおりである」。 |
