9-1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying, エジプトの国を出た次の年の正月、主はシナイの荒野でモーセに言われた、
9-2 Moreover let the children of Israel keep the passover in its appointed season. 「イスラエルの人々に、過越の祭を定めの時に行わせなさい。
9-3 In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in its appointed season: according to all the statutes of it, and according to all the ordinances thereof, shall ye keep it. この月の十四日の夕暮、定めの時に、それを行わなければならない。あなたがたは、そのすべての定めと、そのすべてのおきてにしたがって、それを行わなければならない」。
9-4 And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover. そこでモーセがイスラエルの人々に、過越の祭を行わなければならないと言ったので、
9-5 And they kept the passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at even, in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel. 彼らは正月の十四日の夕暮、シナイの荒野で過越の祭を行った。すなわち、イスラエルの人々は、すべて主がモーセに命じられたようにおこなった。
9-6 And there were certain men, who were unclean by reason of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day: ところが人の死体に触れて身を汚したために、その日に過越の祭を行うことのできない人々があって、その日モーセとアロンの前にきて、
9-7 and those men said unto him, We are unclean by reason of the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer the oblation of Jehovah in its appointed season among the children of Israel? その人々は彼に言った、「わたしたちは人の死体に触れて身を汚しましたが、なぜその定めの時に、イスラエルの人々と共に、主に供え物をささげることができないのですか」。
9-8 And Moses said unto them, Stay ye, that I may hear what Jehovah will command concerning you. モーセは彼らに言った、「しばらく待て。主があなたがたについて、どう仰せになるかを聞こう」。
9-9 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 主はモーセに言われた、
9-10 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your generations shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be on a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto Jehovah. 「イスラエルの人々に言いなさい、『あなたがたのうち、また、あなたがたの子孫のうち、死体に触れて身を汚した人も、遠い旅路にある人も、なお、過越の祭を主に対して行うことができるであろう。
9-11 In the second month on the fourteenth day at even they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs: すなわち、二月の十四日の夕暮、それを行い、種入れぬパンと苦菜を添えて、それを食べなければならない。
9-12 they shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break a bone thereof: according to all the statute of the passover they shall keep it. これを少しでも朝まで残しておいてはならない。またその骨は一本でも折ってはならない。過越の祭のすべての定めにしたがってこれを行わなければならない。
9-13 But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people; because he offered not the oblation of Jehovah in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin. しかし、その身は清く、旅に出てもいないのに、過越の祭を行わないときは、その人は民のうちから断たれるであろう。このような人は、定めの時に主の供え物をささげないゆえ、その罪を負わなければならない。
9-14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto Jehovah; according to the statute of the passover, and according to the ordinance thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one statute, both for the sojourner, and for him that is born in the land. もし他国の人が、あなたがたのうちに寄留していて、主に対して過越の祭を行おうとするならば、過越の祭の定めにより、そのおきてにしたがって、これを行わなければならない。あなたがたは他国の人にも、自国の人にも、同一の定めを用いなければならない』」。
9-15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony: and at even it was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning. 幕屋を建てた日に、雲は幕屋をおおった。すれはすなわち、あかしの幕屋であって、夕には、幕屋の上に、雲は火のように見えて、朝にまで及んだ。
9-16 So it was alway: the cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night. 常にそうであって、昼は雲がそれをおおい、夜は火のように見えた。
9-17 And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel encamped. 雲が幕屋を離れてのぼる時は、イスラエルの人々は、ただちに道に進んだ。また雲がとどまる所に、イスラエルの人々は宿営した。
9-18 At the commandment of Jehovah the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of Jehovah they encamped: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they remained encamped. すなわち、イスラエルの人々は、主の命によって道に進み、主の命によって宿営し、幕屋の上に雲がとどまっている間は、宿営していた。
9-19 And when the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of Jehovah, and journeyed not. 幕屋の上に、日久しく雲のとどまる時は、イスラエルの人々は主の言いつけを守って、道に進まなかった。
9-20 And sometimes the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of Jehovah they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of Jehovah they journeyed. また幕屋の上に、雲のとどまる日の少ない時もあったが、彼らは、ただ主の命にしたがって宿営し、主の命にしたがって、道に進んだ。
9-21 And sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they journeyed: or if it continued by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they journeyed. また雲は夕から朝まで、とどまることもあったが、朝になって、雲がのぼる時は、彼らは道に進んだ。また昼でも夜でも、雲がのぼる時は、彼らは道に進んだ。
9-22 Whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, abiding thereon, the children of Israel remained encamped, and journeyed not; but when it was taken up, they journeyed. ふつかでも、一か月でも、あるいはそれ以上でも、幕屋の上に、雲がとどまっている間は、イスラエルの人々は宿営していて、道に進まなかったが、それがのぼると道に進んだ。
9-23 At the commandment of Jehovah they encamped, and at the commandment of Jehovah they journeyed: they kept the charge of Jehovah, at the commandment of Jehovah by Moses. すなわち、彼らは主の命にしたがって宿営し、主の命にしたがって道に進み、モーセによって、主が命じられたとおりに、主の言いつけを守った。
