And David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand. |
ダビデは再びイスラエルのえり抜きの者三万人をことごとく集めた。 |

And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him, from Baale-judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, which is called by the Name, even the name of Jehovah of hosts that sitteth above the cherubim. |
そしてダビデは立って、自分と共にいるすべての民と共にバアレ・ユダへ行って、神の箱をそこからかき上ろうとした。この箱はケルビムの上に座しておられる万軍の主の名をもって呼ばれている。 |

And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in the hill: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart. |
彼らは神の箱を新しい車に載せて、山の上にあるアビナダブの家から運び出した。 |
| 6-4 |
And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was in the hill, with the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark. |
アビナダブの子たち、ウザとアヒオとが神の箱を載せた新しい車を指揮し、ウザは神の箱のかたわらに沿い、アヒオは箱の前に進んだ。 |

And David and all the house of Israel played before Jehovah with all manner of instruments made of fir-wood, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with castanets, and with cymbals. |
ダビデとイスラエルの全家は琴と立琴と手鼓と鈴とシンバルとをもって歌をうたい、力をきわめて、主の前に踊った。 |

And when they came to the threshing-floor of Nacon, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen stumbled. |
彼らがナコンの打ち場にきた時、ウザは神の箱に手を伸べて、それを押えた。牛がつまずいたからである。 |
| 6-7 |
And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God. |
すると主はウザに向かって怒りを発し、彼が手を箱に伸べたので、彼をその場で撃たれた。彼は神の箱のかたわらで死んだ。 |
| 6-8 |
And David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzzah; and he called that place Perez-uzzah, unto this day. |
主がウザを撃たれたので、ダビデは怒った。その所は今日までペレヅ・ウザと呼ばれている。 |
| 6-9 |
And David was afraid of Jehovah that day; and he said, How shall the ark of Jehovah come unto me? |
その日ダビデは主を恐れて言った、「どうして主の箱がわたしの所に来ることができようか」。 |
| 6-10 |
So David would not remove the ark of Jehovah unto him into the city of David; but David carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. |
ダビデは主の箱をダビデの町に入れることを好まず、これを移してガテびとオベデエドムの家に運ばせた。 |
| 6-11 |
And the ark of Jehovah remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months: and Jehovah blessed Obed-edom, and all his house. |
神の箱はガテびとオベデエドムの家に三か月とどまった。主はオベデエドムとその全家を祝福された。 |
| 6-12 |
And it was told king David, saying, Jehovah hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with joy. |
しかしダビデ王は、「主が神の箱のゆえに、オベデエドムの家とそのすべての所有を祝福されている」と聞き、ダビデは行って、喜びをもって、神の箱をオベデエドムの家からダビデの町にかき上った。 |

And it was so, that, when they that bare the ark of Jehovah had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling. |
主の箱をかく者が六歩進んだ時、ダビデは牛と肥えた物を犠牲としてささげた。 |
| 6-14 |
And David danced before Jehovah with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. |
そしてダビデは力をきわめて、主の箱の前で踊った。その時ダビデは亜麻布のエポデをつけていた。 |
| 6-15 |
So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. |
こうしてダビデとイスラエルの全家とは、喜びの叫びと角笛の音をもって、神の箱をかき上った。 |
| 6-16 |
And it was so, as the ark of Jehovah came into the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before Jehovah; and she despised him in her heart. |
主の箱がダビデの町にはいった時、サウルの娘ミカルは窓からながめ、ダビデ王が主の前に舞い踊るのを見て、心のうちにダビデをさげすんだ。 |
| 6-17 |
And they brought in the ark of Jehovah, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before Jehovah. |
人々は主の箱をかき入れて、ダビデがそのために張った天幕の中のその場所に置いた。そしてダビデは燔祭と酬恩祭を主の前にささげた。 |
| 6-18 |
And when David had made an end of offering the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah of hosts. |
ダビデは燔祭と酬恩祭をささげ終った時、万軍の主の名によって民を祝福した。 |
| 6-19 |
And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to every one a cake of bread, and a portion of flesh, and a cake of raisins. So all the people departed every one to his house. |
そしてすべての民、イスラエルの全民衆に、男にも女にも、おのおのパンの菓子一個、肉一きれ、ほしぶどう一かたまりを分け与えた。こうして民はみなおのおのその家に帰った。 |

Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to-day, who uncovered himself to-day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself! |
ダビデが家族を祝福しようとして帰ってきた時、サウルの娘ミカルはダビデを出迎えて言った、「きょうイスラエルの王はなんと威厳のあったことでしょう。いたずら者が、恥も知らず、その身を現すように、きょう家来たちのはしためらの前に自分の身を現されました」。 |
| 6-21 |
And David said unto Michal, It was before Jehovah, who chose me above thy father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of Jehovah, over Israel: therefore will I play before Jehovah. |
ダビデはミカルに言った、「あなたの父よりも、またその全家よりも、むしろわたしを選んで、主の民イスラエルの君とせられた主の前に踊ったのだ。わたしはまた主の前に踊るであろう。 |
| 6-22 |
And I will be yet more vile than this, and will be base in mine own sight: but of the handmaids of whom thou hast spoken, of them shall I be had in honor. |
わたしはこれよりももっと軽んじられるようにしよう。そしてあなたの目には卑しめられるであろう。しかしわたしは、あなたがさきに言った、はしためたちに誉を得るであろう」。 |
| 6-23 |
And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death. |
こうしてサウルの娘ミカルは死ぬ日まで子供がなかった。 |
